If you blinked, grabbed a snack, or called Iowa to warn them Farrah was on the way, you probably missed Catelynn‘s contribution to this episode.
Butch announces he’s off to find a job. That’s the end of the Butch scenes, which is a darn shame. Next week’s previews show Butch flabbergasted that somebody ran a background check on him, so he’s either having issues finding employment or he’s heading back to the slammer.
Catelynn’s grandmother comes for a visit. While she’s there, Catelynn and Tyler‘s adoption counselor Dawn calls to invite them to attend an adoption support group meeting. I was really hoping Catelynn’s grandmother and Dawn were setting Catelynn up, and instead of support group, they were whisking her away to What Not To Wear.
Amber Portwood just can’t catch a break. Not only is the Teen Mom star serving time in prison, she’s about to undergo an examination of her “medical, psychological, mental, and emotional health” which could last several weeks. HollywoodLife.com is reporting that during that time, Amber will not be allowed to have any visitors…and that includes four-year-old daughter Leah.
Douglas S. Garrison, the Chief Communications Officer of the Indiana Department of Corrections, tells the site, “During this diagnostic process time, Amber is not allowed any visitors, including her baby daughter. However, she is allowed to make out-going phone calls.”
Thankfully, Teen Mom wasn’t nearly as depressing this week. Last week’s premiere of Teen Mom was a train wreck. This week, instead of weeping like a fool, I sat completely dumbfounded. These girls have come so far yet have gone nowhere. How is that possible? I spent the bulk of the hour resisting the urge to bang my own head against a wall.
At least the super adorable and maturing (someone has to, right?) toddlers bring a new aspect to the show. Too bad we can’t just watch them and skip their parents. Let’s pitch ‘Dr. Drew’s Daycare’ to MTV.
I’m holding onto the knowledge that Barbara, Jenelle Evan’s always amusing mom, will be back on my TV soon enough on Teen Mom 2. As long as I have Barbara in my life, I think I’ll be able to cope without Teen Mom. If Teen Mom 2 ever is canceled, I’m going to need therapy to learn how to go on with my life. Take a deep breath, grab the tissues, and let’s start the beginning of the end.
According to a new report, MTV has already renewed the Teen Mom 2 series for a fourth season, even though the third season has yet to air!
Radar Online reports the cast just wrapped up filming season 3 and the girls are happy a fourth season is in the works. “The girls are excited for a fourth season because they weren’t sure if it was going to happen for them. Jenelle and Leah still have great story lines, but Kailyn and Chelsea’s weren’t as strong, so they were worried,” a source tells Radar.
The source continues, “They finished filming the third season and the reunion already — and the show won’t even air until late this year probably. But they’ve kicked off filming the fourth season which will probably be their last.”
It’s also likely, that just like the original Teen Moms, season four will be the last for this cast as well. “They’ve been talking to the girls from the original Teen Mom since MTV just announced this upcoming season, their fourth, would also be their last,” adds the source.
In other Teen Mom news, single ladies - today is your lucky day! Yes, your dreams are finally coming true, as you can now enter a contest to win a date with the one and onlyGary Shirley!
The Matty P Radio Hour Show has decided to host a dating competition to win the heart of “America’s #1 Baby Daddy.” The Starcasm blog reports that on Thursday, March 29 at 8/7c, Gary will be taking some time off from beingAmber Portwood’s full-time baby daddy to guest star on the show with three women vying for his love!
A big bummer, however, to all the millions of underage girls who are interested in this special date as you do have to be 18 years old to enter. So if you’re over 18 and desperate, feel free to shoot an email to MattyPRadioHappyHour@yahoo.com, with the subject line “Gary Date.” You should also include a photo of yourself and why you deserve this date!
While Amber Portwoodhad publicly expressed her wish to end her career with MTV’s mega hit show, Teen Mom, citing she felt “exploited,” it is now becoming extremely likely that Amber will never appear on another episode of the series.
If you recall, Amber was sentenced by an Indiana judge recently to either do five years in prison or a stint in a drug program. Amber wisely chose the latter and will be heading into the Sister 2 Sister Ministries program any day now, pending evaluation.
While the judge did not give Amber, 21, a clear time frame of how long she needed to be in the program, TMZ is reporting Amber was ordered to live in a halfway house for up to three years.
In addition to that, she must also get a court approved 9-to-5 job that she must attend at least five days a week. The judge, however, made it crystal clear that filming Teen Mom does NOT constitute as a job. In fact, the judge even went one step futher by stating Amber CANNOT film anything for MTV while staying at the halfway house, working her job or appearing in court.
The judge also got in touch with MTV, and the network promised the court it would not sue Amber for breaking her contract with the series due to her sentencing.
I’m not surprised MTV is willing to let Amber out of her contract as for starters, not agreeing to do so would equal very bad publicity for the network. Plus, following Amber’s suicide attempt last summer, something tells me MTV might be more than happy to part ways with her, perhaps not wanting to experience blame or backlash in the case of any future tragedy. In fact, just last October, Amber revealed she was still suicidal.
Amber’s departure from MTV would spell bad news for her baby daddy, Gary Shirley, who has reportedly blown most of his MTV earnings on boozing and strippers.

TELL US – DO YOU THINK AMBER WILL EVER APPEAR ON TEEN MOM AGAIN? DO YOU THINK SHE HAS A BETTER CHANCE OF GETTING HER LIFE ON TRACK AWAY FROM THE CAMERAS?
When the geniuses behind Twitter started working on their product way back in 2006, did they ever dream it would become a broadcasting board and cyberwar territory for reality stars? Because that is exactly what it has turned into. The latest Z-lister to drop a bombshell on the social networking site wasTeen Mom 2‘s Leah Messer, who finally decided to come clean about her rumored cheating on ex-husband Corey Simmsvia a post.
“Okay, I cheated a week before my wedding people. I’m tired of hearing about it. At least I’m not a coward, and can admit my faults!” tweeted Leah.
That is to say, she can admit her faults now, since previously she denied that she had cheated on Corey at all. She continued to tweet about it, saying: “It was one of my regrets in my life, stop accusing and pointing fingers. Things happen to different people different ways. #GodsMyJUDGE”
Yes, Leah, God is your judge, and so are the tabloids, bloggers, and fans following your every move! Earlier this year, Leah was judged by the peanut gallery for smoking while pregnant, a pregnancy she tragically later went on to miscarry. The wise Leah admits to a pretty zen attitude towards her tumultuous life and decisions, ending her posts with this confusing message, “I can not not change whats happened. I can only be proud of where I stand now, and learn from it. I’m in no way proud of my mistakes, but last I checked we aren’t proud of our mistakes.”
Leah is now engaged to the man she met after her divorce from Corey was finalized, Jeremy Calvert.
In more news, Amber Portwood, who remains in jail for violating her probation after she was found with over 40 non-prescribed pills, went before a judge today. The good news for the troubled star is that the judge approved her plea deal, which will have her doing a stint in rehab instead of the alternative of doing 5 years in prison.
According to TMZ, Amber will remain in custody pending a full evaluation by the Drug Court team. The evaluation will reportedly take up to two weeks, but once accepted into the program, Amber will be released immediately.
A source close to Amber tells RadarOnline that she’ll live with her grandmother once she’s out: “The family’s first priority is getting Amber out of jail. After that, she will be living with her grandmother until she gets her life back together.”
As for her ex and father to her daughter Leah, Gary Shirley, he appears to be treating the situation in a two-faced manner, the source alleges: “Gary tells the family he is being supportive, but who knows what is said behind closed doors; he tends to try to put Amber down when she needs support the most.”
Hopefully, Amber will be able to see her daughter Leah once she is released. The source goes on to say, “She should be able to see Leah. No one has said otherwise … she wants to be a better mother and role model to Leah.”
