How Did The Kardashians Earn $65 Million?

A day after the shocking report by the Hollywood Reporter (a very reputable media outlet) revealed the Kardashian clan earned an astonishing $65 million in 2010, we now have more details on just how the Keeping Up With The Kardashians family earned that amount.

We reported yesterday that Kim charges as much as $25,000 to tweet about a product or company, while commanding a personal appearance fee of $100,000 to $250,000 per event, and demanding up to $1 million internationally. Below are more detailed earnings of the Kardashians -

- The family splits a six-figure paycheck per E! episode. However, while the show might provide a steady paycheck, it serves a larger purpose of being a marketing platform for their endorsements and best-selling products, which include book, fragrance and clothing lines. Example, “Kourtney & Khloé Take Miami,” focused on the opening of a Florida outpost of their clothing store, Dash.

- Kim is rumored to have signed a seven-figure deal with a Las Vegas club owner for a handful of 2011 appearances. (Kris will not confirm.) “Kim sells,” a nightlife source says. Kim, who now has over 6 million followers on twitter tells THR, “I have a blog that has 40 million hits a month.”

- Kourtney sold her 2009 pregnancy news to Life & Style magazine for a cool $300,000! The deal included multiple stories: the pregnancy announcement, sex of the baby, birth announcement, first baby photos and body-after-baby reveal. (Life & Style declined comment.)

- Khloé and husband Lamar Odom scored close to $300,000 from OK! magazine for their wedding photos. Kris had everything from the Lehr & Black custom invitations to Khloé’s 9-carat engagement ring “donated” for the wedding, promising the vendors massive product promotion that would come from the media circus surrounding the wedding. In the event that an item wasn’t gifted, E!, it is believed, picked up the tab (E! declined comment).

- Certain paparazzi agencies have agreements with the family to stage photos, sell them and split the profits. Example – Kourtney and Scott Disick recently earned $7,500 for an afternoon laying poolside in Cancun.

- The Kardashian Kard, a prepaid credit card the sisters launched in November, gave them $3 for every card activated or sold, 25 percent of fees, a $75,000 advance on royalties and a $37,000 signing bonus. However, Kris quietly terminated the agreement when then-Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal complained the card had hidden predatory fees. The card’s issuer is now suing the family for $75 million.

To round up the interview with THR, Momager/Pimp Kris Jenner reveals the family has no plans of slowing down. “My fantasy is to have ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians,‘ season 26,” Kris, 55, tells THR. “Who knew it would be this profitable? I should have had more kids.

And believe it or not, Kris reveals she worries about overexposing the family. “We definitely worry about overexposure. We never want to get to a place where people are thinking, ‘Enough is enough.’ ” We take it Kris does not read “the blogs”

So teens, the moral of this story is to stay in school, and with hard work, you too can build a $65 million fortune. Oh, who are we kidding? Feel free to purchase a camcorder, find yourself a D-list singer and have at it! We kid, we kid… we think. Though we do have to wonder if going public with a story like this is good PR for the family, which has started to receive major backlash and criticism from the public in recent weeks.

TELL US – ARE YOU SHOCKED BY THE AMOUNT THE KARDASHIANS EARNED & HOW THEY EARNED IT? HOW DO YOU REALLY FEEL ABOUT A FAMILY “WITH NO TALENT” EARNING SUCH A FORTUNE?
