VH1 loves a franchise crossover, doesn’t it? First it has people hopping from city to city for Love & Hip Hop, and now the network is following its own lead with the ladies of Basketball Wives! I can’t say I’m surprised, but no show in either franchise is going to live up to the ratchet behavior and entertainment that Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta has brought to the small screen! It hit struck gold with that cast for sure!
We’ve got the inside scoop on the upcoming season of Basketball Wives: LA! Along with some new faces, some of the franchise’s veterans will be returning. Joining them will also be Shaunie O’Neal (it’s been a long time since I’ve written about ol’ Nostrils!) and Tami Roman who previously made their home in Miami on the original Basketball Wives. That’s a recipe for drama if I’ve ever heard!
Basketball Wives LAis finally returning for season 4 after a long hiatus, but the Miami version of the show has been canceled leaving us only with LA, which is currently filming and fraught with plenty of drama – all of it reportedly centered around Draya Michele! Oh, and Shaunie, O’Neal is back.
The show has cycled through a lot of cast members since it first aired – and after adding Sundy Carter and Brittish Williams last season, producers fired them this season! Last season ended on a dreadful note when Draya flat-out refused to film the reunion with those two ladies. A source tells us the drama is even more insane behind the scenes!
I was assigned the task of naming the worst dressed reality TV stars of 2014. My first thought was, this post going to be a piece of cake. My second thought was, wait, the photo gallery has a limit of 40?!?
And with a tweet, she was gone! The insanity that is Basketball Wives: L.A. is down one crazy lady…even though she leaves much crazier co-stars in her wake! Draya Michele announced via Twitter that she has quit. In fact, the most recently aired episode was her last.
What is Malaysia Pargo going to do being the only voice of reason left? I feel for her. It seems that Draya could no longer stomach her story line which revolved around her budding relationship with NFL star Orlando Scandrick. Unfortunately for Draya, Orlando had a romance with Wacky Jackie Christie's daughter before meeting the reality star/video vixen/bikini designer. It's made things a bit awkward for Dray this season.
Um, so, ahh…I'm not quite sure what to do with this post. Perhaps I should preface it with situations like this is likely how Jackie Christie got the nickname "Wacky Jackie." Maybe I should categorize it under "where in the H-E-double hockey sticks do paps get their questions?"…I'm just not quite sure.
The Basketball Wives: L.A. star was minding her own business, leaving the mall with pal Sundy Carter, when a paparazzo stops them with an interesting inquiry. In the minute that transpired on video, Jackie and Sunday respond by describing how to torture a mean ol' cat. Confused yet? Me too!
Do y'all miss Brooke Bailey on this season of Basketball Wives: LA? That's what I thought. While Brooke was likeable on the show, I didn't feel like she had much of a story line unless she was fighting with Jackie Christie or feuding with former friend Draya Michele. She just didn't seem to be around a lot.
Of course, don't feel bad for Brooke no longer being featured on everyone's guilty pleasure of a train wreck. Wanting to set an example for her two children, Brooke has gone back to school and is focused on her new cleanse and lingerie line. Would she consider reality television again? Well, what do you think! As long as it's drama-free! Drama-free reality television? That's an oxymoron if I've ever heard one!
