This season there will of course be tons of focus on Teresa and Joe Giudice's impending indictment for fraud as the couple pretends to be attempts to prove they are innocent. Dina returns to be a shoulder for Teresa to cry on, but also struggles with her own divorce from husband Tommy.
Melissa and Poison will attempt to embark upon yet another career to stave off their own bankruptcy in the sanitation business as Melissa continues to pursue her passion for auto-tune singing. Also, Melissa's friend from the past, and new Housewife Amber, joins the cast to spread more Melissa rumors. Cause we haven't had this storyline for the past three seasons. YAWN!
New Housewives Nicole andTeresa are twins with an over-the-top Jersey style. And that includes their tempers! Bravo describes the season as shocking and says, "The six wives begin to form a strong bond, but when shocking rumors of infidelity and backstabbing surface, it threatens to tear their friendships to pieces."
I think we can all admit that one of the most toxic Bravo franchises is Real Housewives of New Jersey. There is straight up malice and manipulation which seems to eclipse the regular ol' mean girl antics of the other series. That said, I believe that all the women on RHONJ are both guilty of the abhorrent behavior as well as victims of it. Case in point? Jacqueline Laurita. There were so many instances in which I felt sorry for her, yet as the seasons progressed, she became part of the problem.
Of course, when her son Nicolas was diagnosed with autism, Jacqueline's priorities shifted away from the drama, and there were several rumors circulating that she wouldn't return for a sixth season. Her daughter Ashlee recently debunked this gossip, but nothing has been confirmed. Perhaps if she does return, Jacq will use the opportunity to show viewers the woman we first met in season one.
Jacqueline was reportedly done and over the craziness of the show after five long drama-filled seasons, but it looks like that isn't so! We heard reports of film crews at her home, but many assumed she was possibly filming bits for Caroline's spinoff show or another project of her own. But Ashlee seems to confirm that Jacs will be on the show.
This weekend is a busy one for Bravolebrities! So many events going on – like Lauren Manzo's engagement party!
Lauren Manzo and Vito Scalia gathered their friends and family at the Brownstone to celebrate their engagement tonight! A few of the photos from the evening made their way to Instagram via Jacqueline Laurita and others and it looks like it was a good night – and a drama-free night! So rare for a Bravo event, right?
Among those in attendance to celebrate the upcoming marriage (which may be filmed for their spinoff show): Melissa and Joe Gorga, Jacs and Chris Laurita, Kathy and Rich Wakile and of course the proud parents – Caroline and Albert Manzo. Caroline was even caught on camera dancing with her future son-in-law's father. Since the show finished filming its first season already, I wonder if it was filmed for possible use in a second season?
It doesn't look like Dina or Teresa scored an invite…..
This week Chris and Jacqueline Laurita stepped out for the kick off of the Autism Speaks Light it Up Blue Campaign at the New York Stock Exchange.
Also spotted out this week: Bruce Jenner and Kris Jenner returning home from Thailand and holding hands through LAX. Kyle Richards met up with Taylor Armstrong for lunch at The Ivy, Bethenny Frankel was red hot in NYC, Ramona Singer stepped out with hubby Mario and Kim Kardashian pushed North West through the airport.
April has finally arrived and hopefully bringing spring weather with it! Not only are we celebrating spring this month, but also the birthdays of a few of our favorite reality TV stars! See which stars are blowing out candles this month and check out the photo gallery of the birthday boys and girls below! (Above: Jacqueline circa 2010)
Caroline reveals she was planning to leave the show when the spinoff offer came in and she answered an emphatic "No" when asked if she missed her RHONJ castmates. "I knew it was something that I had in mind for a while," she shares with Fashion & Style. "I knew that I have given the show all I could. You know, when you have no more to give its time to go. I made this decision and I'm at peace with it, and I'm cool. I'm happy. I don't miss it."
At this week's Ringling Bros event, Jacs shared that she has been working on writing books! And thankfully it's not a marriage advice book or a cookbook! She tells Life & Style that she and Chris are writing one about autism, "Right now, I’m really just enjoying time with my family and I’m writing a few books. My husband and I are writing a book together about our journey with autism."
