This week is a little bit of a cease fire on Teen Mom 2. Jenelle Evans and Nathan Griffith have resolved one issue in court (assault) and seem to be on their way to resolving custody of son Kaiser out of court (sort of). Meanwhile, Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin don’t have much to say to one another. It’s obviously the beginning of the end for these two when it comes to playing out on TV but it is still unclear exactly when the marriage started to really go south. Maybe all will be revealed in the episodes to come.
As we join Kail, she’s trying to prepare the boys for Javi to come home while juggling college courses and cleaning up dog vomit. You would think after having two little boys, Kail would be better equipped to deal with some dog barf but she recoils from the situation with more fear than she did jumping out of that plane! But Kail has big things going on in her life to focus on. According to Dr. Drew (how involved is he is these poor girls’ lives?), Kail would be the first teen mom EVER to graduate from a four year college. Coupled with the fact that Kail’s mom never went to college, Kail is super motivated to finish school and while Javi might not be around, luckily Jo Rivera and Vee Torres are around to help pick up Isaac from school and cheer on Kail. It’s nice to see how well they are all getting along and creating their own modern family.
Teen Mom 2 fans, we are back with a new season, new drama and more interaction with the long suffering Teen Mom 2 producers. These Teen Moms have been busy since the reunion: Kailyn Lowry is on the verge of divorce from Javi Marroquin, Chelsea Houska is on the verge of marriage to Cole DeBoer, Jenelle Evans is on the verge of jail time and well, Leah Messer is on the verge of a nervous breakdown if she doesn’t find her damn keys.
Kail and Javi have some major unresolved issues happening right now in their marriage. So Kail copes with her issues by jumping out of a plane, which seems like a reasonable response to a crumbling marriage. If throwing yourself out of a plane is symbolism for what’s going on in her relationship, message received loud and clear.
Our favorite reality stars have been sharing a mish-mash of social media photos this week. They’ve been sharing Christmas snaps, kid pics, out and about pics and more. We’ve rounded up the best of Instagram this week.
Above, Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin get cutesy on Christmas. “Merry Christmas to you and your families! We feel so blessed and grateful! Love to you all!”
Teen Mom 2 – the never-ending saga of teen moms no more will return this January. Season 8 is rumored to be the final season. We hear this every year, but as the cast heads into their mid-twenties divorcing, marring, reproducing, and endlessly promising not to make the same mistakes, could it finally be time to say good-bye?
TheTeen Mom 2 stars are in the midst of a divorce. Kail claims her miscarriage made her realize that she didn’t want more children and that Javi blamed her for the tragedy. But Javi insists KAIL is to blame for their divorce and he plans to spill the beans in his upcoming book.
Dr. Drew cuts right to the chase and asks for the status on Kail and Javi’s marriage. Supposedly Kail doesn’t know yet because it’s hard to make big life decisions while he’s gone. We all know she’s made up her mind, so maybe the life decisions she’s unsure of aren’t related to staying in the marriage, but rather what kind of visitation schedule Javi should have for Lincoln or how much child support she should demand. For now, she’s just focusing on her career. Dr. Drew high fives her for being the only one of all the teen moms to graduate from a 4-year university, which makes Kail tear up.
Last night was the first Teen Mom 2 reunion episode of the season and featured Jenelle Evans and Leah Messer, the moms who need the most help. Too bad the doctor in the house – Dr. Drew Pinsky – didn’t offer them any guidance. Rather, he avoided any deep discussion with them and tried to convince everyone that David Eason has been a stabilizing force. Hang up the white coat, Dr. Drew, you’re done.
The reunion starts with all the girls on the couch watching highlights from the season. Dr. Drew asks what jumped out for them watching the recap. For Leah, it was hard to see Ali getting worse throughout the season. Kailyn Lowry says there hasn’t been an easy moment for her the entire season. Jenelle gives the non-answer that they can all learn from each other, which prompts Dr. Drew to bring up social media drama between Kail and Jenelle, who are now pretending to be in a better place (they’re also on opposite ends of the couch). Chelsea Houska, who also had her own issues with Jenelle, tries to avoid more Jenelle rage and simply says all the girls follow each other on Instagram and Twitter. Leah attempts to cut the tension by sharing how nice it is to have the other girls to talk to. Chelsea adds that if she needed something, she could talk to these girls. I just imagine the producers giving them a pep talk before going onstage: “Ok, girls, let’s all pretend we’re best friends and the greatest support for teen moms in their twenties is other teen moms in their twenties.”
