Brendon and Rachel met and fell in love on Big Brother 12 in 2010. The two were engaged on Valentine's Day in 2011. Eager to be reality TV stars, the couple also known as Brenchel returned for Big Brother 13 (Rachel won) and ran the Amazing Race 20 (they finished third).
According to TMZ, that answer is no! The reason? Rachel, 27, is hoping to have a paid made for TV wedding!
Apparently Rachel was drunk when she told TMZ of her plans to wed this weekend. Sources close to Rachel reveal she and Brendon have no plans of a quickie wedding. The couple however plans to settle down in Los Angeles where Brendon is currently enrolled in grad school at UCLA.
Rachel is now planning to use her $500,000 prize money to buy a condo. In addition to that, she also wants to try her hand at the entertainment industry, while pitching her wedding planning as a reality show to various production companies and networks in hopes of having it all paid for.
And immediately following her win on BB, Rachel gave an interview in which she revealed her shock and hurt over Adam Poch not voting for her.
“I was shocked by Adam’s vote. I wasn’t surprised that it was close, I thought it would be 3-3 and Adam would be the tiebreaker, but I was shocked with Adam’s vote,” said Rachel to Zap2It. “Earlier in the week he came in, he’s a super fan, he said he’s going to base all his decisions on game. I was shocked and hurt a little bit because he told me earlier that I earned it and he would vote for me. He said even if I evicted him, he would understand and vote for me and then he votes for Porsche?!”
In other BB news, Shelly Moore also spoke out about Jeff Schroederin a new interview. If you recall, Shelly famously turned on her alliance member Jeff in the game, leading to some death threats by some deranged fans.
Shelly however assures TMZ that all is well with Jeff today, adding that the threats have also died down. Shelly states: “This is a game … Some fans get really excited, some get really crazy. It is what it is. We are fine. We are wonderful … Jeff and Jordan and all of us, we’re all buddies … LIFE IS GOOD!”
In a separate interview, Jeff stated all is forgiven with Shelly and denounced the death threats. He also apologized for some comments he made in the BB house which some felt were homophobic, stating he’s “totally not that person.”
TELL US – SHOULD ADAM HAVE VOTED FOR RACHEL? WOULD YOU WATCH A REALITY SHOW ABOUT RACHEL’S WEDDING?
A new winner was crowned last night on the finale of CBS’ Big Brother13. Following a season filled with many twists and turns, the final two came down to a newbie vs. a veteran.
In the end returning veteran Rachel Reilly, a 27-year-old waitress, emerged the winner, leaving the game with both her man and $500,000! Rachel, who won the final HOH thus deciding whom she wanted to go up against, beat runner up Porsche Briggs, 23, in a very close vote.
Rachel ultimately won by a vote of 4 – 3. Shelly Moore ended up being the deciding vote as both Porsche’s and Rachel’s alliances remained loyal to them until the end. But don’t feel too badly for Porsche as she also left the game $50,o00 richer.
It was double eviction week last Thursday on Big Brother13, as two of the strongest players left in the game were voted out.
Veterans Danielle Donato and Jeff Schroeder were evicted, joining fellow veteran Brendon Villegas in the jury house. In new interviews, both Danielle and Jeff speak out on their evictions, what they would have done differently and their thoughts on being able to play the game twice.
Below are excerpts from Danielle’s interview with Reality Wanted –
Q. RealityWanted: What prompted to you to turn on your alliance with the veterans so early in the game? A. Daniele: I knew that Jeff was going to be really hard to get out later on in the game. I had a really tight alliance with Brendon and Rachel. They were the perfect alliance member because they were strong competitors and huge targets. I knew that with Dominic the four of us could run the house. Period. Also, Brendon and Jeff walked around the house just bullying everyone, including me. I didn’t want any part of that. I am my own person and wanted to make my own moves and not base things on what Brendon and Jeff told me what to do. Q. RealityWanted: Did you expect to be backdoored by Jeff? He has said in the past that that’s not how he plays. A. Daniele: Jeff walks around that house preaching integrity and honesty. The reason I didn’t backdoor Jeff was because he accused me of attacking him on a personal level in week three in trying to back door him. I wanted to prove that it wasn’t personal. The only reason he backdoored me was because he held a personal grudge and wanted to make a big move.
Q. RealityWanted: Your relationships with Kalia and Porsche seem genuine. Are they friendships that you will carry outside of the game? A. Daniele: I never came into this house expecting A. to make friends and B. to make friends with girls. I cannot wait to have real friendships with these people outside of the house. Kalia and Porsche are both amazing women. Those friendships were real and they will last forever.
Q. RealityWanted: What was the best part about getting to play the game a second time? A. Daniele: I think the best part is knowing what I’m getting myself into and being able to appreciate the whole experience more.
Below are excerpts from Jeff’s interview with Reality Wanted –
Q. RealityWanted: What was the fight this week with Shelly about? Is it because she told Rachel that you threw the cornhole challenge? A. Jeff: It was just to call Shelly out. She made three deals with other people in the house. That might have been my demise, but it happened the way it happened. I wasn’t scared of anyone in the house, but ultimately, that was my demise. Either way, I’m out and they are in.
Q. RealityWanted: Are you surprised that she suddenly turned on your alliance? A. Jeff: Shocked. I thought I would be friends with Shelly after the game – and I want to say that it is all just a game – but for Shelly to do something like that really hurt. Right now, it stings, but we’ll see how I feel at the finale.
Q. RealityWanted: Playing a week’s worth of Big Brother in one night might be great television but it seems pretty terrible if you’re a player and end up on the wrong side of things. Could things have gone differently if tonight’s events took place over the course of a week? A. Jeff: I don’t know what I could have done to prepare even if I had known, but I definitely would not have had it out with Shelly yesterday.
In other BB news, TMZ is reporting today that Shelly Moore’sfamily has met with the FBI over the death threats they had been receiving following Jeff’s eviction. Some deranged fans were apparently leaving frightening calls and emails for Shelly’s loved ones.
Fortunately, the FBI has determined that none of the threats were “credible.” Sources close to Shelly’s family also reveal that the threats have essentially stopped in the last couple of days. Good.
And finally, a new live eviction episode of Big Brother airs tonight on CBS. HOH Porsche was forced to put up two of her own alliance members after opening up the Pandora box and unleashing the pairs twist back on the house. Up for eviction are Shelly and Adam. It appears Shelly will be the one getting the boot unless she is able to pull off a last minute miracle. The episode airs tonight at 9/8c.
TELL US – THOUGHTS ON JEFF AND DANIELLE’S INTERVIEWS? WHO DO YOU WANT TO SEE GO HOME TONIGHT?
According to TMZ, some deranged fans have decided to start sending death threats to the family of Shelly Moore. While Shelly wasn’t the one who nominated fan favorite Jeff or ultimately voted him out after the tie, she did betray her alliance with Big Jeff by voting for him.
Sources close to Shelly reveal her family has received multiple phone calls from people threatening violence and even making threats against her 8-year-old daughter. Disgusting.
The threats are not ending with Shelly’s family as her employer has also been receiving harassing phone calls from fans demanding they fire her because of the way she voted on the show.
Shelly’s family is reportedly taking the threats very seriously and are preparing to get the FBI involved. Good. Now I’m no fan of Sneaky Snake Shelly but threatening her family or anyone for that matter is beyond deranged.
Big Brother’s Executive Producer Allison Grodner also spoke out via twitter to condemn the threats: “No matter how much you dislike an HG, this is wrong! True BB fans do not try to ruin lives. Please stop!”
TELL US – THOUGHTS ON THIS NEWS? IS SHELLY YOUR LEAST FAVORITE BB HG?
We’re only two weeks into the current season of Big Brother 13 and already, it has become a lackluster season.
Similar to the big failure of the “Saboteur” twist last season during which the Saboteur was the first Houseguest evicted, the twist this season of the returning “dynamic duos” is turning out to be one big ball of fail.
As I’ve stated on numerous occasions, Big Brother might just be my favorite reality show of all time, yes, I like it even more than the Housewives, okay maybe just slightly more. The show is simply genius and manages to captivate fans year after year with crazy twists and even crazier characters. So when it was revealed this season that some of the popular past HGs would be returning, I and others were filled with glee! However the show premiered and just two weeks in, it’s become predictable, lackluster and I find myself wishing the returning HGs had never returned. My reasons are below –
The Dick Factor – While I’m no fan of Evel Dick, he was arguably the most entertaining, combative, and explosive player on the cast this season. Matter of fact in the history of Big Brother. His return was met with cheers from both fans and non-fans of his. Love him or hate him, you knew he was going to make this season one to watch. However, Evel Dick’s run in the BB13 house was short lived. As in he had already left the house by the time the show premiered on Thursday, July 7. Even worse, ED was not replaced and instead his daughter, the slightly annoying Danielle, was given a golden key guaranteeing her safety for 4 weeks. Even much worse, no explanation was given for Dick’s departure. Seriously, the viewers deserved an explanation. It’s the least Big Brother could do after his abrupt exit.
The Returning HGs – Once again, this twist sounded great in theory but my feelings started to change once the returning HGs (Jeff and Jordan, Brendon and Rachel, Evel Dick and Danielle) actually re-entered the house. Something about the return just felt a bit like deja vu, sort of like a been there done that feeling probably because they had been there and done that. As expected, Jeff and Jordan were still as adorable as ever while Brendon and Rachel were still as annoying as ever. Evel Dick and Danielle were no longer on speaking terms which was not surprising and felt very 2007. With the returning HGs, we are missing out on the magic that came out of their first appearances. Seeing Jeff and Jordan connecting on the show, possibly falling in love was a one time deal as well as seeing Brenchel connecting on the most ridiculous things. Plus having to see Evel Dick and Danielle try to mend their relationship… again with ED carrying Dani all the way to the end… again would have been pretty boring and uneventful. And isn’t it interesting that even in ED’s absence, he’s still carrying Danielle further in the game?
The New Houseguests – This brings me to the new HGs who I now find myself rooting for at all costs. Why? Well because they are now the underdogs in the game. In addition to the fact that it’s really unfair to pit the newbies against some of the best players to play the game. After all, Jordan and ED are past winners while the other returning HGs made it pretty far in their respective seasons. While the poor newbies pretended to be excited upon hearing Julie Chen’s announcement of the twist, you could clearly see in their eyes that they were none too pleased to be sharing their season and chances at half a million dollars with others who already had their chance. And just as expected, the returning HGs banded together to form a tight alliance and have been mercilessly kicking the butts of the newbies. Let’s face it, did they ever really stand a chance? And despite the newbies being stupid, not being able to stick together, and being amateurs at the game (well this is their first time playing), it’s gotten to the point where I find myself hopelessly rooting for them, and hoping they pick off the returning HGs, even Jeff and Jordan – both of whom I happen to love, one by one.
The All Star Season? – With the return of the 6 HGs this season, what does this mean for a future BB all star season? The first and last all star season was season 7 which would lead any rational fan to believe season 14 (next year) would make the second all star season. By bringing back the HGs this year, does this mean they won’t appear on next year’s all star? Better yet, what does this twist mean for next year’s all star? Is that even in the works? As a devoted BB fan, I can only hope! As the first all star season was one of the best BB seasons yet. Can you imagine an all star season with Jeff, Jordan, Brendon, Rachel, Evel Dick, Danielle, and other great players? Now that would have been something to watch! But by bringing these players back this year, Big Brother might have inadvertently ruined what could have been a phenomenal all star season 14.
And judging from the feedback of Big Brother fans online, it seems majority of them feel the same way I do. Following Jordan’s win for HOH last Thursday, many fans started to complain about the predictability of this season.
The Reality Blurred blog summed it up best – “Dominic seems like he has some game in him, so I was disappointed when he lost HOH and Jordan won. Her win makes me significantly less interested in the next week of competition because the returnees remain in control. The show and game work best when power flips, but this win plus this season’s structure means there’s little chance of that.”
Some of the comments from BB fans on twitter are below –
“[The newbies] are more like superfans than players,” tweeted TammyRene_.
“The show is predictable b/c we’ve seen the vets play before, we knw all their moves..so it’s like wtf step ur game up newbies,” tweeted IamJerves.
“Gonna be a boring week!!! I cannot take any more of Bookie,” tweeted auroralmama.
“The veterans seem so bored and not very appreciative that they are there.” tweeted RHO_TWEETS.
I couldn’t agree more. Big Brother had better hope the newbies start winning some competitions if they plan on keeping me interested this season. Because quite frankly, a Big Brother 13 season in which the alums pick off the newbies one by one and end up making it to the final 5 will be awful to watch. They had their chances. The newbies deserve a fair chance as well.

During a discussion with fellow HG Kalia this week, the topic turned to Harry Potter books and its writer J.K. Rowling‘s past statement that Dumbledore was a gay character.
Jeff appeared taken aback by the revelation stating, “He’s in a school with little kids, you can’t make that guy gay!” He then added, “It isn’t right to have it in a little kids book, and have the head master locked away in this magical land, be gay. That isn’t the right kind of writing to do.”
Kalia’s response was, “Why? Gay men can’t work with little kids!?” adding, “Just because he is gay, doesn’t mean there is a thing wrong with him.” Jeff replied, “You know exactly what I’m saying. Don’t make it seem like you’re doing the right thing by saying that it’s not.”
As for CBS, they responded with the statement below –
“Big Brother is a reality show about watching a group of people who have no privacy 24/7 — and seeing every moment of their lives. At times, the Houseguests make comments, reveal prejudices and other beliefs that we do not condone. Any views or opinions expressed in personal commentary by a Houseguest appearing on BIG BROTHER, either on any live feed from the House or the broadcast, are those of the individual(s) speaking and do not represent the views or opinions of CBS or the producers of the program.”
Some are calling Jeff homophobic while some of his defenders are stating he isn’t citing he developed a friendship with the openly gay KevinCampbell during his 2009 stint on Big Brother. It will be interesting to see if CBS will show Jeff’s comments on the televised airing. Houseguest Cassi also received some flack last week after she jokingly referred to Dominic as a ‘fa**ot’ on the live feeds.
A new episode of Big Brother is set to air tonight on CBS during which the first houseguest of season 13 will be evicted. Up on the chopping block are Porsche and Keith. On last night’s episode, Keith was overly cocky and planned to throw the Veto competition because he believes he has enough votes to stay. Keith is assuming all of the new HGs will vote for him. Wowzers.
Rachel won the veto and left the nominations the same. So far, it appears the plan of the returning HGs is to keep Porsche in the house and vote out Keith. But do they have enough votes to do so? We will find out tonight on CBS at 9/8c.
TELL US – DO YOU THINK JEFF IS HOMOPHOBIC? THOUGHTS ON HIS COMMENTS & TONIGHT’S EPISODE?
While CBS officially revealed the 8 new houseguests entering the Big Brother 13 house this season, they kept the identities of the returning all star “dynamic duos” a secret.
Well it is a secret no more as a Big Brother insider has revealed the six returning all stars. The good news? Natalie and Jessie will not be returning.
The better news? Jeff and Jordan will be returning according to twitter user Crystal Eisermann. Joining Jeff & Jordan will be Brendon and Rachel, and also father/daughter duo Dani and Evil Dick. “Since it has leaked, I guess I can confirm that Jeff and Jordan, Dick and Dani and Brenchel are the Duos!” was the tweet made by Crystal on Monday.
Crystal, who has interviewed a number of the BB houseguests in the past, is rumored to work for Real Player which offers the live feeds of the show. Hours after revealing the HGs, Crystal tweeted, “To everyone asking how I know who the duo’s are, let’s just say I have friends in high places?!? And yes I’m sure.”
Of course CBS will not confirm this leak so we will have to wait until Thursday to see the returning duos. While the live feeds won’t begin airing until Thursday night, all of the houseguests have entered the Big Brother house since late last week.
As for the updates on the returning HGs, Jeff and Jordan are STILL dating, going on almost 2 years now. Below is a recent photo of them from May. And as you know, Brendon and Rachel are still together and are now engaged. There are also reports that Dani and Dick are not on speaking terms so it will be interesting to see how it all plays out if they are indeed houseguests this season. While Evil Dick seems to be a fan favorite, I’m personally not excited about his return as I did not like the way he treated the women from his season. Perhaps he has now turned a new leaf.
