Jenelle Evans has a new attorney, and soon, a new mugshot! After her ex-fiancé Nathan Griffith filed charges against her alleging that she assaulted him in the parking lot of his apartment building, she was issued a warrant by Myrtle Beach Police for criminal domestic violence. Jenelle has decided to turned herself into the police, but now Nathan wants those charges dropped. Is your head spinning yet?
Jenelle’s new attorney Amy S. Lawrence reveals that the Teen Mom 2 star regrets her actions, and will be cooperating with the police! “I can confirm that there is a warrant out for Jenelle’s arrest for criminal domestic violence, stemming from an incident that happened last night,” she confirmed.
Jenelle Evans has been on her very best behavior lately — thanks to MTV's cameras I'm sure. There's no doubt in my mind that the only reason MTV filmed a new season of Teen Mom 2 is to show Jenelle's redemption.
Yesterday's stop on Jenelle's redemption tour was family court to discuss the $130/month child support payment she's been paying to her mother, Barbara Evans, for Jace. An inside source (probably named Jenelle) told Radar, "Mrs. Barbara Evans was in court with her daughter Jenelle, and she agreed to stop having Jenelle pay the child support."
Jenelle has been caring for Jace on a regular basis – and they seem happy. Let's hope it continues now that MTV's cameras have moved out and Jenelle's off the hook (if you can consider $130 on the hook) financially.
After being attacked outside a West Virginia movie theater by three women, Leah Messer is terrified to leave her house, according to sources!
Two weeks ago, Leah and her fiancé Jeremy Calvertwere walking in a parking lot, when three women approached her. “The women started screaming, ‘Look, it’s that bitch from Teen Mom!’” an insider tells In Touch Weekly. The women then followed the couple, and according to Leah, beat her “viciously,” bruising her face and chest.
After the incident, Leah has become seized by fear that something may happen to her again. “Leah’s now terrified to leave her home,” the insider explains. “There are just so many haters.”
The attack has left a precarious Leah, already distraught over a recent miscarriage, depressed and according to friends, has pushed her over the edge. “She is on the verge of a nervous breakdown,” the source adds. Hopefully things will improve for the mom of twins!
Moving on to other Teen Mom 2 news, Jenelle Evans is still dealing with custody issues! The tumultuous Jenelle, who after a string of recent arrests, confessed to being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, now worries that the diagnosis will keep her from parenting Jace.
Jenelle has been seeing a doctor recently and is now on medication to help control her violent mood swings, which have contributed to her unruly and dangerous behavior in the past. But Jenelle is, surprisingly, thinking ahead and worrying that she won’t be capable of caring for Jace long-term!
“She is really, really scared,” an insider shares with Reality Weekly. “Jenelle is worried she’ll end up going off the deep end. It’s her nightmare that she is going to end up in the psych ward.” Jenelle’s fear is exacerbated by her brother’s diagnosis. “My brother, he has bipolar and schizophrenia,” Jenelle recently confessed to Dr. Mohammed, the Medical Director at Malibu Horizon Drug Alcohol Rehab Treatment Center
Jenelle is so concerned about her mental stability, she is wondering if she should relinquish custody permanently! “It’s one of the reasons she’s wondered if she should give up Jace,” the source admits. “She’s that scared she won’t be able to take care of him down the road.”
Apparently, Jenelle’s fears have been haunting her in her dreams and she grows more afraid by the day. “She’s been calling herself crazy,” the source adds. “She spends a lot of time in tears.”
Friends also worry about Jenelle’s long-term mental health. “She has always been off,” says a former pal. “She gets something on her mind and gets very obsessed with it. She can’t sleep or calm down.”
Hopefully both Leah and Jenelle can get their demons and behaviors under control for the sake of their children! At least Jenelle has the support of her mother, Barbara Evans, to raise Jace.
And finally, while the second season of Teen Mom 2 only concluded last week, MTV has already began filming on a new season of the series! Kailyn Lowrytweeted the photo below this week which shows MTV camera crews filming her along with her friends. No word yet on when the new season will air.
As we reported yesterday, MTV has also greenlighted Teen Mom 3 which will likely feature some of the cast members from the upcoming 16 and Pregnant season.
ARE LEAH’S FEARS JUSTIFIED? SHOULD JENELLE GIVE UP CUSTODY OF JACE OR JUST TRY TO MANAGE HER MENTAL ILLNESS? DO YOU BELIEVE JENELLE WILL BE ABLE TO GET HER ACT TOGETHER AND BE A MOTHER?
With Teen Mom 2 second’s season premiering this past Tuesday night, I am sure the young mothers (if they are anything like their original counterparts) will be giving us a lot on which to report.
Never one to be out of trouble the lime light for long is the troubled Jenelle Evans. I must say that I hope Jenelle (she’s admittedly one of my favorites… I see a lot of potential in her — let the comments begin! :)) gets her life in order, and as Hollybaby.com is reporting, it appears that she is hopefully changing her situation for the better.
Highlighting a recent magazine interview, the blog discusses Jenelle’s decision to check into rehab. She explains, “My life just started spiraling out of control, my emotions were running wild and I didn’t know how to slow them down. I was having trouble quitting marijuana. I just had to get away from all the drama. If I hadn’t gone, I’m pretty sure I’d be in jail.” She continues, “I’m doing everything in the right direction. I’ve learned how to control my anger.”
As viewers of Teen Mom 2 are well aware, it’s Jenelle’s anger — or mishandling of that anger — that gets her in the most trouble. She admits, “Now when I have problems with people, I confront them about it, but I’m civil instead of yelling. I learned it’s better to leave than have Jace watch me argue with my mom.” Well, that revelation is clearly a step in the right direction!
However, Jenelle believes that her mother, the always yelling Barbara Evans, isn’t ready to see her daughter’s improvement… although many would likely say, ‘Can you blame her?’ Still Jenelle reveals, “She’s just really scared of me getting custody back, because I’m so close. She’s going to do anything in her power for me not to get him back.” I have to wonder if Barbara is so anti-Jenelle as Jenelle seems to think, or just simply pro-Jace.
While Jenelle continues with counseling, she wishes her mother would join her in an effort to resolve their issues. According to Jenelle, her mother will not attend therapy. She explains, “She claims she doesn’t need it and that I’m the one that needs it.” Jenelle adds that the pair don’t get together to tune into the MTV hit because it will likely result in a fight. As for Barbara, she comments, “Jenelle continues to struggle with motherhood.”
Still, Barbara hopes that Jenelle will continue to improve. “I’m hoping the situation gets better,” says Barbara. “I can never give up on my daughter, and it’s important to me that Jace has a close relationship with his mom.”
As Jenelle continues to work on herself and her relationships, she also seems to be faring very well (read: incredibly lucky) in her legal battles. EOnline.com reports that Jenelle has once again avoided jail time. After her recent hearing, the reality star (I hate to give these girls that much credence, but MTV already has, so it is what it is) tweeted, “And the judge congratulated me to [sic] being clean since August and got drug tested at court and I passed of course. Probation got continued!!” Now, let’s just take some of that exuberance and channel it into being a mother and regaining custody.
After facing charges for drug possession and, later, assault, U.S. District Judge Marion R. Warren of Brunswick County, North Carolina last week found that Jenelle was abiding by all of her probation terms. Until her probation period expires in April, Jenelle will still be subject to twice monthly drug testing. Jenelle can also cross off her list the required anger-management courses and parenting classes which were a stipulation of her probation, as she has completed them.
Her attorney Dustin Sullivan states, “She has been doing everything that has been asked of her. She’s been doing tremendously well.” He says confidently, “I have no doubt it will be a successful probation.”

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF JENELLE’S INTERVIEW? DO YOU BELIEVE THAT SHE IS TAKING STEPS IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION? SHOULD JENELLE REGAIN CUSTODY IF SHE COMPLETES ALL OF HER PROBATION REQUIREMENTS?
