On Wednesday the reality TV star, aka Jenni Farley, turned an Ab Cuts promotional appearance at a GNC store in NYC into a canned good drive for the victims of Superstorm Sandy.
We all made fun and recoiled at these Shore party animals when they burst onto the scene three years ago, but they are showing their true colors as they step up to help this area of Jersey that made them famous! Be sure to tune in on Thursday night for the MTV special!

They’re back! Fresh off the cast’s European excursion to Florence, Italy — MTV has announced it will be kicking off the new year with an all new season of Jersey Shore!
Yes, America’s favorite drunken hotmesses housemates will return to Seaside Heights, NJ, when season five of the MTV hit series premieres on Thursday, January 5, 2012 (10/9c).
Back on their home turf and excited to be in their natural habitat, “the cast hits the ground running to get their “G.T.L” regimen back on schedule while also dealing with their evolving group dynamic amidst the tensions and hookup rumors left over from their time in Florence.”
To mark the special occasion, MTV also released a preview clip for the new season which features DJ Pauly D recovering from a tanning accident after burning his face when trying to get his skin tanned. He was trying to correct the paleness he suffered while in Italy. The rest of the cast is also shown as they prepare to hit their favorite club Karma.
As we reported, the cast began filming season 5 immediately following their return from filming season 4 in Italy. They did not get a break which in turn led to some more drama, such as Vinny Guadagninoquitting the show, only to return days later.
With less than a month until the August 4 premiere, MTV has released the official season 4 cast photo of the Jersey Shore cast!
In the above shot, the cast is all glammed-up for a late-night run through the streets of Florence, Italy where they filmed the fourth season from May to June.
As reported, the cast only got a one week break before they began filming the fifth season back in Seaside Heights, New Jersey late last month. The new season will debut Aug. 4 on MTV at 10/9c.
In other Shore news, after almost losing two cast members in a span of one week, TMZ is now reporting MTV has laid down the law!
According to TMZ, MTV has now instituted a zero tolerance policy for future cast runaways. Sources close to production reveal the network is very serious this time stating that if another cast member tries to walk off the show… that person will be fired, and the remainder of his or her contract will be terminated. No exceptions.
This is apparently a power play by the network to reassert some authority after two cast members nearly bolted in the same week. Vinny Guadagnino actually left the show for a week after complaining of being “burned out” only to return a week later. While Vinny was gone, The Situation also threatened to quit the show but returned hours later.

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON THE CAST PHOTO & MTV THREATENING TO FIRE CAST MEMBERS IF THEY LEAVE THE SHOW?
According to a new report, that will soon be the case with the Jersey Shore cast. In the latest issue of UsWeekly magazine, an insider reveals MTV is planning to replace the entire cast once the fifth season is over.
“After this group comes back from Italy and shoots season 5 this summer, that will be the end for them,” says an insider. The reason? It all comes down to money… of course.
See while the show is a mega hit for the MTV network, they are having to fork over millions to the cast members. A report that came out earlier this year revealed the core four of the group (Snooki, The Situation, JWoww and DJ Pauly D) were each earning $100,000 per episode for the fourth season. That amounts to over $1 mil each for the entire season.
Quite frankly, MTV feels the new stars will be “a lot cheaper” plus it also frees up the current gang to pursue their spinoffs. MTV has confirmed Snooki and JWoww have one in the works, as well as Pauly D and The Situation.
The source however promises the cast “will leave on a high note!” The cast departed Italy last Saturday as filming for season 4 ended and season 5 is scheduled to begin filming any day now in Seaside Heights, New Jersey.

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON THIS REPORT? IS REPLACING THE CAST A GOOD IDEA?
According to a new report by TMZ, the cast, which is currently filming season 4 in Florence, Italy, will get a raise for the upcoming fifth season.
If you recall, MTV announced weeks ago that the fourth season would premiere on August 4, with season 5 set to begin filming later this month. The cast was not happy with the news and refused to film the new season as MTV wanted to use their season 4 contracts rate/terms.
It however seems the MTV network has caved in as new contracts have been drawn up. The cast reportedly got a “significant” increase in their raise. Snookiand co. are scheduled to fly back from Italy on the 23rd of this month, with filming on the fifth season scheduled to begin in New Jersey on the 26th.
It was reported back in April that most of the cast members were receiving $100,000 per episode aka well over $1 million for season 4!
Meanwhile, the cast was photographed above posing for what will likely be their official season 4 cast photo on Wednesday. In the picture taken in a Florence back street, cast member Vinny Guadagnino, one of the authentic Italians on the cast, can be seen holding up an Italian flag.

After the widely reported contract hold outs, all of the Jersey Shore cast members have signed on to return for season 4!
TMZ reports Snooki, The Situation, JWoww and the rest of the gang will be heading to Italy in May to start filming. While TMZ doesn’t state the exact amount the cast will be earning, it does add that everyone is “very pleased with the outcome.”
Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the cast got a HUGE raise! Just how huge? Let’s try over $100,000 per episode! Yes, you read that right. Sources close to the negotiations tell EW members of the “core group” are now pulling down at least $100,000 per episode.
With each season producing an average of 14 episodes, this means a number of the Jersey Shore cast will earn over $1 million each for season 4 to simply drink, party & fight. Wowzers! The cast reportedly earned $30,000 per episode for season 3.
And finally, MTV announced last week it has picked up two Jersey Shore spin-off shows. The first show will focus on DJ Pauly D and his life on the road as “one of the country’s most in-demand DJs.” While the second show will follow BFFs Snooki and JWoww, chronicling their experiences as roommates after their lives on “Jersey Shore.”
MTV has ordered 12 episodes of each spin-off, and plans to debut both shows sometime in 2012.
TELL US – THOUGHTS ON THE JERSEY SHORE CAST EARNING OVER $1 MILLION FOR SEASON 4? PLUS THOUGHTS ON SPIN-OFFS – WILL YOU WATCH?
Those wild and crazy kids of the Jersey Shoreare already stirring up some controversy in Italy though they have yet to arrive for the filming of their 4th season.
See while MTV confirmed earlier this year that season four of the super mega hit show will be filmed in Italy, the show had yet to actually air in the country. That all changed this week when the show made its debut on Italian television, and let’s just say the Italians are no fans. In fact, the cast is now on the receiving end of some major backlash.
“They embody the worst stereotypes of Italians, multiplied by thousands and Americanized,” wrote columnist Roberto Del Bove in Rome newspaper New Notzie.
It only gets worse as a preview of the show posted on an MTV Italia website drew some nastier comments.”When I see this, I wonder whether [Osama] Bin Laden had a point,” lamented one poster, going a bit overboard perhaps.
“Slicked hair, exaggerated narcissism, boundless love for the family and outlandish eccentricity” is what was written about the show in another popular Rome newspaper, Corriere della Sera.
The Italians might be happy to know that only part of the fourth season will be filmed in Italy. This isn’t the first time the Jersey Shore clan has been criticized for their shenanigans as the show also drew major ire from Italian-American groups during their first season, leading to some boycotts by advertisers.
Love them or hate them, the show is definitely here to stay as the season 3 finale last week drew record ratings for MTV, with over 7.6 million viewers tuning in.
Speaking of season 4, RadarOnline is now reporting that there is a contract dispute brewing with some of the cast members. Apparently, cast members “Snooki, The Situation, JWoww and Pauly D have not finalized their contracts because they can’t agree on the amount.”
“As of last week Deena hadn’t signed her contract either but Ronnie, Sammi, and Vinny were done,” reveals a source, um does Deena not realize she’s very expendable?. “Time is short, everyone is getting concerned because they’re supposed to leave for Italy soon, I just hope they can settle it,” the source adds.
The cast also went through contract disputes last year as they went on a short strike before season three; eventually negotiating a 200% raise from $10,000 to $30,000 per episode.
And finally, the reunion show airs tonight on MTV at 10/9c. We will revisit the top moments of the show with the cast and also find out why Sammi and Ronnie broke up again for the 2000th time back in January.
TELL US – THE ITALIANS, THEY HAVE A POINT NO? PLUS THOUGHTS ON THE REUNION SHOW?
TMZ is confirming that a deal has finally been struck between the cast of Jersey Shore and MTV.
All the cast members are expected to return. According to TMZ, Vinny, Ronnie and JWoww accepted the $10,000 per episode offer. No word on if the other cast members will also be paid the same amount.
Though a deal has been agreed to in principle, lawyers for the cast are still trying to hammer out certain terms of the deal. Apparently, one of the main issues is how many paid club appearances the cast members will be able to do each week. Snooki, Pauly D and The Situation want the right to appear at as many as four clubs and other venues a week ..
As we reported earlier, some of the cast members are able to pull between $7,500 – $10,000 per club appearance.
UPDATE - A MTV Exec confirms the entire cast will be returning for a 2nd season and also reveals it will be filmed at a different location.
“Our audience has fallen in love with ‘Jersey Shore’ and its amazing cast who have really grown together as a family” said Tony DiSanto, President of Programming for MTV. “That bond gives the show its heart, and we’re thrilled to reunite these friends to bring fans more of what they love — laughs, love, drama and of course GTL.”
