We last saw the Little Women: NY in the midst of some serious baby shower drama. If you weren’t keeping up, an uninvited Lila Call decided her drama desire to be there was more important than an actual invite to frenemy Katie Snyder’s special day. Jessica Capri, who planned the whole thing, was left to try and kick Lila out on her own while Katie was unexpectedly called in by the doctor and thus, missed her own baby shower.
We resume with Jess storming out of her own house and the party she planned, with the shower guests looking on, totally bewildered. Jason Perez does his best to explain to Lila that this is just like the time when he brought Terra Jole to their apartment and Lila threw a hissy fit because she wasn’t invited. Nice try, Jason, but that wilted purple feather covering half of Lila’s head is not going to allow any logic to sink into her brain right now. Dawn Lang tries to jump in but Jason shuts her down immediately as the guests look on. Someone pop some damn popcorn already!
After watching a whole episode of the Little Women: NY hold multiple interventions in one action-packed hour, I’m ready for my own intervention! But tonight is a double header and we are treated to another drama-filled episode, so no rest in recaps here.
Katie Snyder and boyfriend, PJ, decide to have a maternity photo shoot to create memories of her pregnancy. Jessica Capri stops by to talk about planning Katie’s baby shower. Katie is OK with everyone coming EXCEPT Lila Call. Jess agrees and is ready to get planning.
Last week’s episode of Little Women: NY ended with a distraught Jazmin Lang revealing that a very pregnant Katie Snyder has been smoking. We pick up in the same spot this week, with Jazmin showing video evidence of the event and the group deciding to join Dawn Lang on the judgment train to condemn Katie for her reckless behavior.
Never one to let an opportunity pass to make the topic about her, Lila Call starts crying because she is an addict too and Katie’s addiction reminds her of her own. The group decides as a whole to speak with Katie and she can then make the choice on her own as to whether or not she will continue smoking. Jason Perez thinks it’s better to do something rather than nothing in this case.
After fireworks during a night out of belly dancing, the Little Women: NY think it’s about time to get away and plan a camping trip to bond and maybe even try and have fun. Let’s see if a little fresh air can mend the rift between Jazmin Lang and sister-in-law/ultimate ball-buster, Dawn Lang.
Jazmin meets up with roomie Jason Perez to discuss her issues with Dawn. Jason believes in tough love but thinks Dawn expects Jazmin to be just like her and that’s not fair. He questions if maybe Dawn resents Jazmin for taking her only brother away and would like to give her the benefit of the doubt but thinks her judgmental nagging is becoming too much to bear. Jason thinks if he can invite Dawn and Jazmin over to his parent’s house to see a loving family dynamic, it might help.
Jazmin is on the hunt for a roommate now that her husband, David Lang, is moving to Florida for work. True to form, Dawn said “hell to the nah” about Jazmin moving in, so Jazmin decides to stop by Jessica’s apartment to see if she can crash there. Unfortunately for Jazmin, a pregnant Katie has already taken that slot. Katie mentions she knows David and Dawn from back in the day and Jazmin tells Katie how crappy of a sister-in-law she is. Jessica makes the obvious observation that Dawn is a hater.
This season on Little Women: NY, we see that while some things have changed (new cast members and living situations), some things remain the same. Lila Call is still working on her sobriety after a bumpy first season and Dawn Lang remains as self-righteous as ever. On the season premiere, we get to see both of those issues play out in full force, thanks in part to Terra Jole from Little Women: LA making an very unwelcome appearance.
Lila’s life seems to be on track for now – she’s sober, happy, and has a new roommate. Turns out it’s none other than Jason Perez. He finally managed to cut the cord and move out of his parent’s house and has even been seeing someone special for a few months. Jason is so happy, he’s ready to celebrate with a Pajama Jam party, where his mystery love interest will be making an appearance. Lila acknowledges that living with a boy can be hard and she has to set some ground rules – no walking around naked, no leaving the toilet seat up, and Jason better make himself scarce when Lila has a gentleman caller. Apparently the walls are very thin.
