It’s the last leg of the Morocco trip for the Real Housewives of New York, and Alex uses Jill and Ramona’s fight as a springboard to vent her feeling about Luann…to Luann. Kelly fancies herself a therapist/life coach/mean girl when dealing with Alex, with some Scary Island thrown in for good measure. Sonja tries to avoid drama and is reminiscent of the funny, carefree woman we met last season. And Cindy? Poor Cindy is just as confused as ever as to why she agreed to this gig.
Thursday’s episode, “Last Call Morocco,” opens with a shaking and crying Jill, fresh from her altercation with Ramona. The brunettes swoop in to build Jill back up while the blondes attempt to console Ramona across the riad. Being the hostess with the mostess (attitude, that is), Luann will not allow Ramona’s behavior to ruin the ladies’ trip. She quickly goes to reprimand her guest, but Sonja and Alex run interference by requesting (what else?) pinot grigio for a traumatized Ramona who is being coddled to Alex’s braless chest.
Knowing the cardinal rule of entertaining, Luann obliges and pours a glass of liquid gold for Ramona before ripping into her. I believe that was covered in Chapter Three of her etiquette book. Alex, having found her backbone this season, asks Luann to leave before she can begin scolding Ramona. Kelly comes in and tells the girls that she refuses to take sides, and Ramona admits that she should have kept her mouth shut to avoid her fight with Jill. I had to rewind that part four times to make sure I’d heard her correctly!

Pictured above is the always shy and conservative Kelly Bensimon, as she donned a see through sequins attire with what looks to be a bra and a matching thong? underneath along with some flip-flops? The event was the 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards which took place on Monday in New York.
Meanwhile, the 43-year-old Kelly recently spoke to OK! during which she made it clear she is a totally like nice person. Kelly tried to explain what separates her from her mean costars. “I don’t have any enemies,” said Kelly . “I like everybody. I am Miss Congeniality. I’m a brunette. I don’t really hate anybody. I mean, they try to make me hate people, but I still don’t.”
And despite trashing castmate Sonja and her home on a recent episode of the Bravo show, Kelly states she is far from being a bitch. “In all honestly, a lot of girls do a lot of really bitchy things. To be honest with you, I think that’s one thing that they’re striving for, is who can be the bigger bitch? But that’s not cool. People don’t like that.”
Kelly added, “My virtual family, they don’t like bitches. They like the cool girl, and I’d rather be cool all day long. I don’t need to be a bitch. Why? Bitch may have sold before, but it doesn’t sell now. It’s a whole new year and a whole new season. It’s all about good people with good values.” So there you have it folks, Kelly bitch is so last year.
And moving on to tonight’s all new episode of the NYC Housewives. The Sex in the City Moroccan trip comes to an end with a bump in the riad. The aftermath of a blowout between Jill and Ramona leaves Ramona still shaken, prompting yet another confrontation. Luann and Alex get into it as well, and minus Ramona, the ladies tour lavish palaces. It airs at 10/9c.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know Bethenny Frankelrecently got a whole lot richer (a whole, whole lot) due to a deal with Beam Global in which she sold her Skinnygirl brand of beverages.
Since then, her former manager has sued her for upwards of $100 million for what he thinks was his input into her business. In a recent interview on the Today Show, Bethenny touched on the lawsuit drama. “I work really hard; I have always had a conscience and integrity (which is what you do when no one is looking). I can’t control what other people are doing nor do I want to. I’m happy where I am and I only sweat the small stuff. I torture myself more over a $40 Gap T-shirt than a multimillion-dollar lawsuit,” said Bethenny.
Bethenny also hit up the Tonight Show with Jay Leno this week, during which she quipped that she wipes her bum with dollar bills when Jay asked about her wealth, and tried to hire fellow Leno guest Kevin Bacon (love!) to entertain her and bartend. There was an enlightening moment in the interview where she admits that Jill(or should I say Bobby) Zarin secured her a place with the Real Housewives of New York. She admits that she and Jill were friends before the show (which she recognizes is weird among reality show stars…they aren’t usually close to begin with), but vaguely cites the show as the downfall of their relationship. Regardless, she knows the show was an amazing platform for her business plan.
And of course, having a multi-million (potentially billion) dollar empire, isn’t enough for the one time New York housewife. She has several spin-off Skinnygirl products launching that are sure to keep the money rolling in for years to come. Her newest endeavor? A cleanse.
A non-preggos looking Bethenny was pictured above this week during the launching of her Skinnygirl Cleanse at a GNC in Los Angeles. She elaborates, “It gently cleanses the system on a daily basis while replenishing and restoring the system with vibrant greens. On a day-to-day basis, depending upon how I feel, I alter whether I take it at night or during the day and whether I take it once per day or more.” To coincide with the Skinnygirl cleanse is also her lifestyle website Skinnygirl Daily.
Having raked in $50+ million last year, I’m sure her diehard fans will jump on with a vengeance. It certainly can’t hurt after imbibing all those margaritas.
TELL US – THOUGHTS ON BETHENNY’S COMMENTS & LATEST ENDEAVORS?
After Bethenny left the show for good following last season, many, including us, wondered if the show could survive without her. Well, the NYC Housewives are now midway through their fourth season and the numbers don’t lie. Not only is the show doing well, in fact ratings have slightly increased sans Bethenny.
In the past two weeks, the show has received its highest ratings of the season, averaging over 2.28 million viewers per episode thanks to the boost from the Sex in the City Moroccan vacation! Nine episodes into this season, the RHONY is averaging 1.95 million viewers per episode, a 7% increase compared to the same point last season when the show averaged 1.82 million viewers through the first 9 episodes… with Bethenny on the show.
Not only that, the RHONY is also doing very well in ratings in comparison to Bethenny’s spin off show Bethenny Ever After which only averaged 1.45 million viewers for its latest season. The Bravo network is however happy with Bethenny’s ratings as her show was renewed for a third season.
So what does this all mean? Well it means we can expect more spinoffs for other popular housewives stars and more departures from other franchises. According to reports, Bravo is in talks to give Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Kim Zolciak andNene Leakes their own spin-off shows, with the strong possibility that at least one of them will be leaving the show for good.
This also proves that the Real Housewives series can indeed survive without their most popular stars aka the Teresa Giudices, Gretchen Rossis, Nene Leakes, Kyle Richards etc.
In other NYC news, to mark her recent wedding anniversary, Alex McCord posted photos of her 2000 wedding to hubby Simon van Kempen on her website Mccordvankempen.com. The couple tied the knot at Maxims de Paris on Madison Avenue. Those photos are below!

Less than a week after Ramona Singer dissed her costar Jill Zarinon the Watch What Happens Live aftershow (more on this below) , a new article has mysteriously made its way online today stating that Ramona is not only jealous of Bethenny Frankel’s success, but that she’s also responsible for the demise of Jill and Bethenny’s friendship.
The story posted by RadarOnline claims Ramona, star of the Real Housewives of New York City, is green with envy over Bethenny’s Skinnygirl line success. “Ramona has always been jealous of Bethenny and didn’t even want her on the show at first,” Jill a “source close the situation” tells Radar. The story also references Ramona’s recent comments that she believes Bethenny sold her drink line for way less than the reported $120 million.
Okay, so the above quote sounds plausible. It is however the next quotes that has some suspecting this has Jill’s fingerprints all over it. The “source” adds, “Ramona is trying to play the sympathy card and came up with a plan to spin her negative press by saying that she is the ‘Bethenny’ of this season… Ramona is the person who really turned Bethenny against Jill [Zarin] and now it’s backfiring on her!”
Whoa! So now Ramona is the one responsible for the Jill and Bethenny drama? Wowzers! But wasn’t it the Countess who tried to prevent Jill and Bethenny from talking last year? Odd that people, coughs Kelly Bensimon & Jill, feel the need to try to rewrite history despite what viewers saw with their own eyes.
The story becomes even more obvious that it likely came from Camp Jill when the “source” adds, “Ramona thought that if she got in a fight with Jill she could be the Bethenny of this season and gain a ton of fans like Bethenny did and build her wine to be as successful as Bethenny’s Skinnygirl brand.”
As for Ramona’s diss to Jill last Thursday, she stated on the WWHL aftershow that Jill likes to exaggerate her wealth. She basically called Jill a hypocrite for making fun of her former gay husband BradBoles’ non existent home in Morocco on the most recent episode of the show.
“Jill loves to exaggerate,” said Ramona to Andy Cohen . “You know she sold her house four years ago and pretended on the show that she owned the house. She rented it. She pretended she owned a yellow Ferrari and rented it for one week and said, ‘Oh Bobby bought it for me.'”
Seems like the frenemy-ship between the two ladies rages on.

Last night’s episode of Real Housewives of New York City was all about vaginas, vacations, and Pinot… again. Jill Zarin is hosting an anti-bullying fundraiser, and while guests are paying $200 to attend, the irony of Jill championing this event is priceless. Kelly accidentally sees Sonja’s ladybits, Cindy takes her good friends on a “brunettes only” weekend, New Housewife Pinot Grigio high-jacks Jill’s charity event, and sweet LuAnn just wants everyone to get along, dammit!
The episode begins with LuAnn and Sun-yah meeting for lunch to discuss a girls trip. LuAnn is planning to “break the tension” between the ladies. Since this is a classy restaurant, Sonja, predictably arrives straight from the gym with a fur thrown over her sports bra. Sonja states she wants to go to Italy for Truffle Season (that’s a thing?) because “everyone will be there!” Everyone except the NY Housewives, that is, because LuAnn is just so over Italy and wants to vacation somewhere exotic. Somewhere like Morocco, which is the Paris of the Middle East, didn’t you know? Bravo, desperate to capitalize on a repeat of Scary Island, decides Luann must “invite” all the ladies, but LuAnn has some reservations about Kelly being included because no one wants “Scary Desert” on the horizon. Well, no one but Bravo, because ratings are everything dah-ling, so Kelly is IN!

On the 7th episode this season titled “Travel Reservations,” LuAnn plans a big exotic trip for the ladies, hoping the getaway will help quell all the petty clashing. Some of the ladies prepare for the vacation by checking in at a spa, while others save face by visiting a plastic surgeon. Elsewhere, Jill hosts an anti-bullying event—even inviting Ramona to the affair.

Meanwhile following our report yesterday asking if Jill Zarin hires others to post positive comments about her online, she took to her twitter to respond. “Dont spread lies. Fact check! My fans who wrote comments are pissed!! Ask them @gingerettes,” tweeted Jill. Apparently the “ginerettes” are a group of Jill fans who call themselves “The Jill Zarin Squad.”
While some of the simpler comments might have indeed been made by Jill’s fans, it is extremely unlikely Jill’s “gingerettes” made the ones attempting to manipulate search engines. Plus the three spam comments left on our blog came from different IP addresses, meaning it’s likely more than one person posting the same types of comments with the same exact SEO techniques. As we stated yesterday, it appears to be the work of a group of hired PR flunkies. Plus till this day, Jill still denies being Susan Saunders despite being caught red-handed by Gawker.
Another fun fact? TheDirty website reported last year that Jill hired people, paying them $25 an hour, to help monitor her facebook page and delete all negative comments.
And following the drama on last week’s episode, Ramona Singer made a tweet calling Jill out. “Good point! @mccordalex Its not okay 2 wear white 2 a wedding but u can yell at the bride about her guest list & friendships. It seems Real Housewives of NYCstar Susan SaundersJill Zarin just can’t help herself. First came Amazon-gate last year in which she was caught red-handed leaving positive reviews for her book on Amazon.com while also threatening people who left her negative reviews. And then two months later, UsWeekly reported she hired 4 media consultants to help her prep for the season 3 reunion show. Well folks, the Jillousy is back at it again!
A new report by Gawker sheds some light on Jill’s new MO, which is allegedly having others – likely hired PR interns – spam numerous blogs and sites with extremely positive comments about her.
The issue first came to light on May 1st when the TvOnTheRocks blog detected some suspicious comments about Jill from stories that were over a year old. One of the comments is below –
“Why do people say I hate Jill Zarin? Just because it’s called “reality” TV doesn’t make it an accurate portrayal of who a person really is. Do your research, Jill is a good person who does more than just appear on RHONY…she also does a lot of charity work and has a great new line of Shape wear called Skweez Couture to help us all look hot! Thank you Jill!”
As you can see, the comment is not only grossly transparent but even includes a link to Jill’s official blog under the words ‘I hate Jill Zarin.’ The reason for this? There is an actual blog on the internet titled ‘I hate Jill Zarin.’ The intention of Jill and her likely PR flunkies is that by manipulating the links, people searching online for I hate Jill Zarin would be taken to Jill’s official blog rather than the original I hate Jill Zarin blog. While also promoting her Skweez Couture line of course.
Low and behold, Reality Tea also received similar spam comments days later. Below are the three comments posted on our blog under stories about Jill –
“murphygirl on 2011/05/06 at 3:44 pm She’s pretty and smart. People should stop with all the IHate Jill Zarin stuff. She looks great and she’s using what she has to be the best reality star she can be! Jill Rules!”
“bonnie on 2011/05/06 at 4:30 pm I agree with you, Im on Jill’s side for sure. She is the sweetest onr on the show, and by far my favorite of the housewives! I dont understand why anyone would say I hate Jill Zarin”
“Erica on 2011/05/13 at 2:22 pm I have to agree with Jill, people do have a short attention span and I hope so, she deserves a new spin this season. But it’s the show, the editing and they have created all this I hate Jill Zarin buzz. The real person Jill Zarin is active in the community and gives her time to charity work. But that’s reality tv for you.”
And now back to the Gawker story which also pointed out that some hired PR flunkies superfans of Jill or even Jill herself have been bombarding the NYmag.com Vulture comments section with suspiciously pro-Jill propaganda. We do have to warn you ahead of time as some of these comments might induce nausea. Examples of the comments left by the “superfans” are – “Too many people love Jill Zarin. She is the best of all housewives. We LOVE her!!… Jill has a star quality that makes the show great… Jill Zarin is the heart and soul of Real Housewives of NYC.”
Similar to Bravo Gossip, we believe Jill likely hired a PR firm or a bunch of PR interns to help repair her tainted image. Thus explaining all the extreme Team Jill comments. Why you ask? Well folks, the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) manipulation attempts leads us to believe this isn’t the work of your average superfans but definitely a group of people knowledgeable in the SEO field aka a PR company! But then again it could just be Jill herself doing her own dirty work as she’s definitely not above that.
This would also explain the whole polling fiasco that took place last month on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live. Jill was on the show with Ramona Singer immediately following the season 4 premiere of the RHONY, and Andy Cohen ran a whose side are you on poll question. Jill lost in a landslide after receiving only 22% of the votes. Three days later, Andy stated on the air that the original poll was erroneous and that Jill got 41% of the votes. Many found the recant to be odd, that is until the NY Post reported Jill was the one who demanded a recount right after the show ended, and even threatened to get her lawyers involved.
However, it was Jill’s comment to the Post that raised a red flag with us. She stated, “My initial reaction was surprise… That night, we said, ‘We don’t think these numbers are right.’ ” We questioned back then how Jill, who was very disliked last season by fans, could be so certain the polling numbers were wrong if she hadn’t done something to try to manipulate it? Well, based on the above, it seems we finally have our answer! Plus a similar poll by the HollywoodLife blog only gave Jill 19% of the votes while a poll we ran only gave her 10%. Safe to say those PR flunkies can’t get to all the polls.
