The show features JoAnn and Steve as they work their matchmaking magic on a new batch of singles who have issues finding their Mr. Right. This season promises a man hater, a man eater, a lover of deadbeats, and a very awkward virgin! Wouldn’t it be hilarious if they were all the same person?

It appears that the mother-son dream team will have some pretty difficult cases this time around, and I, for one, can’t wait to see how they handle this bunch. Meet the ladies in desperate need of tough love below!

Donna Sonkin

A holistic chef and health fanatic, it’s no wonder Donna looks much younger than her forty years. However, her biological clock is ticking, and she wants to start a family. Her problem? She finds fault with everyone she dates and often won’t give potential suitors a second chance. Another problem? This New Yorker has a lot of “quirks” and isn’t willing to change anything about herself to find love.

Stephanie Stasiak

A make-up artist and hairdresser from Texas, Stephanie is obsessed with the idea of love and marriage. Claiming to have been in love over 20 times (that’s a lot, y’all!), she seems to always fall for bad boys. She’s even had plastic surgery in hopes of becoming more attractive to some past boyfriends. Stephanie has come to the Wards hoping they can help her find “the one,” but I think they’ll first have to tackle her self-esteem issues.

Despina Delios

For this girl, it’s quantity, not quality, when it comes to dating styles. Despina doesn’t care about a lasting connection if she can satisfy her need for a quick attraction. She considers herself a man-eater, scheduling dates back-to-back. However, now that she’s approaching her 30s, she thinks she needs to find a quality guy and settle down. Will the Wards be able to get through her tough exterior to figure out why she’s so averse to opening up and finding true love?

Shalana August

A single mother of a seven-year-old son, Shalana is a New Orleans girl who resides in Metarie, Louisiana. She’s been out of the dating scene for ages due to past heartbreak and let downs. Her view of men in general is less than stellar, and she tends to have a bitter attitude towards relationships. Here’s hoping JoAnn and Steve can help her overcome her bad attitude towards the opposite sex and find a loving role model for her son.

Melissa Schultz

A twenty-five year old virgin from Boston, she is hoping the Ward duo can help her lose her V-card while becoming a dating diva. That shouldn’t be too difficult, except that Steve calls Melissa the most awkward woman he’s ever met!

Danielle Wilks

This single mom and hairdresser from Atlanta seems to have her life on track…with one minor glitch. She loves a bad boy and a deadbeat. That is always a winning combination!

Elizabeth Vashisht

From New Jersey, Elizabeth has just ended her long relationship with a sugar daddy wealthy older gentleman and is hoping JoAnn and Steve can help her find someone age appropriate who she can appreciate for more than his wallet.

Steve believes different cities means different styles of dating and he is ready to tackle southern gentleman and southern belles in the city known for its wild nightlife and its southern customs.

Despite the new city, be prepared for the same ol’ Steve – he’s not changing the brutally honest approach that made him a success, and these delicate southern flowers aren’t getting the white glove treatment! The ladies will be put through the ringer with a series of funny, yet difficult challenges, and be set up on dates hand selected by JoAnn and Steve.

WILL YOU BE WATCHING THE NEW SEASON?

Tough Love is back! Matchmaking experts and mother-son duo, Steve and JoAnn Ward, are heading to Miami to assist eight unlucky in love single ladies in finding a man!

Over the course of 10-weeks the ladies will be put through rigorous training as part of Steve’s infamous “boot camp,” which includes intense group therapy sessions to figure out why they are still single and practice dates with eligible bachelors.

The ladies will live together in a house (where the drama is sure to get as hot as the Miami sun) and attend Dating 101. Some will graduate and some will have a difficult time breaking their old habits, but Steve promises if they follow his rules they’ll be ready to fall in love!

Jane Castro: This singer and self-proclaimed “crazy psycho” is the jealous type. She admits her “fierce and fabulous” personality leaves men scared.

Leilani Dowding: The former Miss Great Britain is a model and clothing entrepreneur, with two failed engagements and a divorce behind her – she has everything except love!

Michelle Betts: A quirky personal trainer from California with a perfectionist streak; she just can’t stay away from the bad boys!

Basketball Wives – The biggest surprise of all is the very quick return of the Basketball Wives. While the second season only ended less than 2 months ago, season 3 will debut on May 30 at 9/8c. With the exception of Suzie Ketcham, who quit the show, all of the cast members including Royce Reed, Shaunie O’Neal, Evelyn Lozada, Tami Roman, and Jennier Williams will be returning. VH1 also announced that Meeka Claxton, wife of former NBA player Speedy Claxton, has joined the cast. According to reports Meeka and Tami have already gotten into a physical altercation during filming. A photo of Meeka is below!

Famous Food – The network confirmed what we reported weeks ago, which is that reality famewhores Danielle Staub, Heidi Montag, and Jake Pavelka will indeed star together on a new reality show. The concept of the reality show is that the famewhores are given an opportunity to create a flourishing and fully-operating restaurant. Over the course of eight weeks, the colorful crew of “celebrities” will roll up their sleeves and work together to launch their own restaurant, aptly named, “Famous Food.” Joining the above three famewhores will be DJ Paul and Juicy “J” (from rap group Three 6 Mafia), Ashley Dupre (famed ex-prostitute) and Vincent Pastore (“The Sopranos”). The show debuts Sunday, July 10 at 10/9c.

Tough Love – Also returning this summer is Tough Love: Miami. Steve Ward and his mother Joann Ward are back to help single women make a splash in the Miami dating pool. Steve will work with a group of eight single, attractive women, all composed of classic female archetypes including the “too much too soon” romantic, the “gold digger” and the late 30′s “work obsessed.” They will be living together in a house for 10 weeks and given a chance to learn Dating 101.”VH1 Tough Love: Miami” premieres Sunday, July 10 at 9/8c.

Celebrity Rehab – Season 5 of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew Pinsky and Michaele Salahi debuts Wednesday, June 29 at 10/9c. From heartbreak to hope, this season follows Dr. Drew and his patients on their difficult and deeply emotional journey to sobriety, as well as an often raw and unflinching look at the many faces of addiction. As we reported back during filming, Michaele got kicked off the show early on for not having an addiction. Joining Michaele this season are Michael Lohan, Bai Ling, Jeremy Jackson, and Dwight “Doc” Gooden.

Also returning, The T.O. Show season 3 will premiere Monday, August 22 at 10:30/9:30c and La La’s Full Court Life will debut the same night at 10/9c.

Tough Love is returning to VH1 next month for its third season, but this time around there is a twist!

The latest edition will feature the matchmaking mother and son duo, JoAnn and Steve Ward, as they try to help six couples who are all on the brink of deciding whether to get engaged or break up.

The couples will endure lessons designed to test their relationships on every level. From sex and temptation to money and communication, each episode’s lesson will coincide with issues that make-or-break every relationship. At the end, each couple will determine if they’re finally ready to take a big leap and get married or call it quits and move on.

VH1 Tough Love Couples is set to premiere on VH1 Monday, April 12 at 9:00 PM.

Tough Love 2 is set to premier on VH1, Nov. 15 at 9/8c. Master matchmakers Steve Ward and his mother, JoAnn Ward are set to whip into shape a new batch of lovelorn women when for the show’s 2nd season.

Last season, break out hit VH1 Tough Love averaged 1.9 million total viewers per episode. Throughout the course of the season, professional matchmakers Steve Ward and his mother JoAnn Ward transformed the lives of eight women. Viewers tuned in regularly to witness the struggles each woman went through to find a healthy, loving relationship. This fall, VH1 along with High Noon Entertainment and Flower Films, are bringing back VH1 Tough Love for a second season. The latest installment will focus on a new group of unlucky-in-love women who are willing to do whatever it takes to find Mr. Right. Along the way, Steve will share his unique male perspective in attempt to reform each of their “destructive” dating habits.
