Oh, Joe Giudice – will you never learn: you fought the law and the law won (again and again and again!). Despite the fact that he is literally standing in front a judge right now, the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star is still not prepared to make a decision in his identity fraud case. Lord these Giudices are so disorganized!
Joe is back in a Passaic County courthouse today as a last-ditch effort to arrange a plea deal in his identity fraud case. He previously rejected a few of them in favor of going to trial to prove he’s innocent (HAHAHAHAHA!) despite prosecutors revealing they have very, very convincing evidence against him. The latest plea deal offered by prosecutors gives Joe the opportunity to run his 41 month federal sentence concurrently with his state sentence, but witnesses from court reveal that Juicy is insisting he’s innocent and wants a trial.
The crux of the issue for Joe is that if he accepts the plea deal he won’t legally be able to drive while he awaits his turn to serve time as his license will be suspended for up to 18 months. However IF Juicy goes to trial, he could wind up with the maximum sentence of 10 years. Hmmm, let’s break this down in simplistic terms: 18 months of being trapped in the house with Milania (#GimmeTheKeysYouOldTroll) vs. 10 years of being trapped in prison with…
Joe Giudice‘s legal battle continues! After receiving a 41 month federal sentence, Joe is back in court tomorrow to settle his identity fraud case – and he must decide to accept a plea deal – or go to trial!
After he stole his brother’s identity to fraudulently obtain a driver’s license after he lost his to a DUI, Joe was arrested and concrete evidence obtained by prosecutors proved that he intentionally used faulty information to get a license illegally.
And the hits just keep on coming for Teresa and Joe Giudice. After being sentenced to prison on multiple fraud charges — she got 15 months, he got 41 — now the judge has gone a step further and is insisting that the couple keep all of their finances separate from now on. (updated below)
Which could spell trouble for Juicy Joe, because we can never quite pin down what he does for a living. Although the Real Housewives of New Jersey star told Andy Cohen during their sit-down that he “still has his rentals” and that he is getting back into the building business, we have also seen him open a couple of restaurants and yet he always seems to be at home. Hmmmm……..
A week after receiving a 15 month sentence for fraud, Teresa Giudice is speaking out about going to prison and admitting that she feels guilty “every day” for her actions. However Teresa says she is ready to learn from her mistakes, focus on the positives, and come back stronger.
“I wish I could do everything differently,” a tearful Teresa acknowledges. “But then again, maybe not, because this is a life lesson I need to learn and will learn, and will teach my children for the rest of my life, just as Judge Salas told me she expected me to do.”
“I have to look at what will come of this while I’m away,” the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star accepts. “The bond between my children and their father, Joe, my honey, will grow stronger and stronger. And that is something I will be grateful for.”
In just one example, she replied to a fans tweet regarding the sentencing. “@FamilyIsLoyalty: Ohhhh @daniellestaub dontcha frigin LOVE karma baby!!!!!!! Yup.”
“Yup.” Classy. Well, I guess Danielle realized that she could get a little publicity — nothing like capitalizing on someone’s tragedy — so she has changed her tune in order to get on TV. (Somewhere we were hoping never to see her again.)
Andy starts right off with Teresa’s claims in court that the show is fake. “In court papers you claim that The Real Housewives of New Jersey is scripted. ‘It is little more than a work of fiction engineered by Bravo TV through scripted lines and clever editing.’ What did you mean by that?” Teresa responds, “Meaning that there are editors on the show and our producers”, Andy cuts her off “were you told to flip the table?” Teresa says “no flipping the table I did.” Andy asks if she was told to fight with Melissa or Joe Gorga. “My family coming on the show, you know Andy, I didn’t know they were coming on the show.” Andy says “you didn’t want them on the show,” Teresa jumps in “not that I didn’t want them on the show, they never told me they were coming on the show.” Andy tries to end it with “we’ve had this discussion many times, ya ya ya.” Teresa says “When my family came on, I didn’t like the way I was portrayed. I was the villain, I was this mean person. People would come up to me and they’re like ‘oh my God you’re so nice’ and I’m like ‘what do you mean?’ and they’re like ‘you come off so mean on the show.”
“Florida… let me start by reminding you I was there to celebrate being five years cancer free! Did I ever mention that I was diagnosed with breast cancer? Just in case you missed it. We had just had one hell of a scare and I wanted to go to Florida to celebrate,” Amber shares. “Jim wanted to celebrate also, but was not at all happy about my choice of venue, but as a good hubby, he came along.”
