NJ Housewife Teresa Giudice & Husband File For Bankruptcy, Owe $11 Million!

Ah yai yai, another Bravo housewife bites the dust! In somewhat shocking and not so shocking news, the NY Post is reporting today that Teresa Giudice, star of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, has filed for bankruptcy alongside her husband.

Even more shocking? Teresa and hubby Joe Giudice owe nearly $11 million dollars, and have their income listed at only $79,000 a year. And it doesn’t end there. Teresa’s home is also in foreclosure, and yes this is the same $1.8 million, 10,500-square-foot home Teresa was shown moving into during the first season. The bank has started the foreclosure proceedings.

The NYPost refers to the Giudices as “real-life deadbeats” who “are up to their tanned necks in liens, foreclosures and unpaid bills.” In bankruptcy papers filed in Newark federal court, the Giudices say they owe their creditors an astonishing $10,853,648.04.

Teresa and Joe have also defaulted on their $1,280-a-month payment for the family’s luxury black Cadillac Escalade.

It gets even worse folks. The banks have also foreclosed on other homes owned by the couple, including a $279,000 four-bedroom Jersey Shore house. The Giudices are said to have had three mortgages on the house and owed $325,000. Also foreclosed on is a $200,000 home in Lincoln Park, NJ, that had four mortgages — and an outstanding debt of $600,000.

And despite being shown on their Bravo reality show as spending thousands and thousands of dollars on their kids’ clothing, Teresa and Joe claim to spend just $400 a month on clothes in court papers.

As for their income, Joe has his monthly income listed at $3,250; while Teresa lists hers as $3,333. The couple also lists another $10,000 in “monthly assistance from family members.”

And oh yeah, Teresa also owes nearly $20,000 to Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom. Their credit card debt alone is listed at $104,000.

UPDATE: Teresa, who appears to not be in denial at all about her $11 M debt, posted the following message on her twitter Saturday -

“A huge THANK YOU to all my fans for all your love and support. Joe & I are just fine and will continue to be. ♥♥♥from our house to yours! xx.”

Wonder which one of their foreclosed houses that is… But it is nice to know Teresa and hubby Joe will continue to be fine, while the rest of society is forced to incur their irresponsible debt.

Chris Stilianessis: Danielle Staub Used My Baby’s Illness For Revenge, Plus Recap

Last night’s episode of the Real Housewives of New Jersey was without a doubt the best this season, all thanks to Danielle Staub.

Danielle, who exhibited the paranoia and delusions of Kelly Bensimon mixed in with the narcissism of Jill Zarin, brought us great TV when she decided to use the fundraising event of a cancer struck baby to further her own agenda against the Manzo family.

Danielle made sure to to show up to the event with a crew/posse, ex cons included, and even permitted them to raise hell, but ofcourse leaving Chris Manzo out of it, because he is underage afterall. It was obvious from the start that Danielle was looking to stir up trouble, and nothing the Brownstone could have done would have prevented that. Dani also made sure to include her friend Kim G. in her madness, and Kim G. for whatever reason decided to go along with it all.

Well the father of the baby, who the fundraiser was held for, is now speaking out. In a new interview with Zap2it, Chris Stilianessis shares his thoughts on the events that occurred that faithful night.

“For starters, I would tell Danielle thank you for bringing my daughter’s illness to the table and to the ‘Housewives of New Jersey,’” said Stilianessis. “However, I would also tell her that I’m very surprised that you would utilize my daughter’s sickness for your own selfish reasons, to get back at the rest of the housewives.”

Stilianessis also reveals he was not aware of Danielle’s beef with the Manzos. “I had no knowledge of Danielle’s relationship [to the Manzos] prior to the fact,” he says. “Because if I did, I would have asked her politely not to come.” He continues, “She showed up to the event with I want to say in the realm of 25 people,” he says. “She had some guys who were Hells Angels. She came with people who, I come to know now, were people who were in jail. I was under the assumption they were her friends.”

It seems a friend of Danielle’s bought her one table at the benefit for $350.00, which held only 10 people. However Danielle decided to show up with over 20 people “for protection.”

“When you’re going to a charity event for a child, what do you need that for?” asks Stilianessis who also shares that Danielle only raised $300.00, which came from the owners of a local supermarket. And since her table was paid for by someone else, Danielle has yet to donate any money herself.

Stilianessis, pictured with his daughter above, still hopes that Danielle will see that what she did was wrong and apologize. “If she really has changed as she says she has,” he says. “There will be a public statement. That day in the restaurant, she had tears in her eyes. If those were true tears, her heart would open with an apology.”

Tonight brings us episode 5 of the Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Last week, Danielle Staub introduced us to her two ex-con friends who will protect her from the big bad Manzos. Below is Jacqueline’s hilarous take on that whole situation, taken from her bravo blog -

“Introducing tweetle dumb and tweetle dumber! Are these guys actually coming on national TV and playing that Wangster card? Seriously? No one is listening Danielle, and nobody cares! If Danny really was the wiseguy he and Danielle are trying so hard to portray him to be, I am SURE his superiors are not too happy with him right now. I don’t think a real wiseguy would go on national TV and announce that to the world. It wouldn’t be very smart. Although, it might be good for his acting career. Hmmm. Danielle did nothing but make herself look like a paranoid lunatic who brings ex felons around her and into the lives of her children. Danielle claims 25 years ago she fell into the wrong crowd. Does she feel that today she is surrounding herself with a better crowd? Check again, devout Catholic. Birds of a feather, huh? Are felons even allowed to associate with other felons while on probation? I thought that was not allowed. Is it appropriate for Danielle to choose to bring those felons, for the reasons she chose to bring them, to a sensitive benefit for a family who is fighting for their daughter’s life? I don’t think so. Let’s just see what kind of drama Danielle decides bring to this benefit to make it all about her. Watch what happens.”

Who knew Jacqueline had a great sense of humor. Moving on to tonight’s episode. After bringing home baby number 4 from the hospital, Teresa decides it’s finally time for Joe to get “snipped.” Meanwhile, Caroline invites the ladies over for a “girls night in” with cocktails and snacks where the conversation turns to Danielle’s invitation to Dina’s charity at the Brownstone –will tensions rise over the her potential appearance?

And the road of good intentions gets bumpy for Danielle when she and her protective entourage prepare to attend the Brownstone. How will it all come to a head? And will things turn violent? Find out tonight @ 10/9c on BRAVO.

Preview The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Delivers Her Baby

On tonight’s episode of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, the big day has finally arrived for Teresa Giudice and husband Joe as they welcome their fourth bambino into the world.

Meanwhile, Chris Manzo scores big when he gets an inside look into his dream business, and wife Jacqueline gets an inside look into her husband’s secret safe. And as the Brownstone prepares for a big night, Danielle gets an invitation she can’t refuse, but makes sure to get “back-up” from an old friend before she RSVPs. The Real Housewives of New Jersey Episode 3 Recap: Fashion Week

Must say after three weeks of watching the new season of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, I am simply not impressed. Compared to the Real Housewives of NYC, the show seems to be falling flat and the Danielle drama is getting very old. Will touch more on this later.

But on to the recap of last night’s episode. First we get a quick rehash of Jacqueline’s argument with her teenage daughter Ashley Holmes, who is now living on her own. Jacqueline is in a tough spot with parenting Ashley because Ashley is now an “adult” and no longer living under her roof. I can’t help but feel that had Jacqueline done a better job with parenting Ashley earlier on, things would be better between them now. Jacqueline herself has admitted to making parenting errors with Ashley. This also brings up a point that I feel strongly about which is that just because a kid turns 18, doesn’t really make them an adult and ready to be on their own. A girl like Ashley should still be living at home in my opinion. I’m guessing Jacqueline might be helping her financially in some shape or form. Perhaps cutting her off financially until she stops being rude would help her straighten up.

Moving on to Danielle who receives flowers from Jacqueline congratulating her daughter Christine on her modeling debut. You can see some modeling shots of Christine below. Jacqueline has stated in an earlier episode that her husband does not want her befriending Danielle, but for some reason Danielle is persistent on becoming BFFs with Jacqueline again and even decides to leave her a scolding message, accusing her of not being her own woman.

One thing I really want to touch on is Danielle’s parenting skills and why she insists on involving her innocent children in her drama and in adult issues. This started in the premiere episode when she took her kids along a car ride to stalk Caroline’s event. Her kids looked and acted embarrassed. And then last night, her youngest daughter, who once again looked mortified, asked to be excused as Danielle decided to call Jacqueline. And once again, Danielle decided to unload her adult drama onto her young daughter. Does this woman not have any friends? Involving her children in her drama is simply wrong and unnecessary. Poor kids. I’m really curious to know more about the man who decided to marry Danielle and make her the mother of his children. Danielle’s ex-husband’s name is Thomas Staub or Gerald Staub. And how amazing was it last week when Christine Staub was photographed by Gilles Bensimon, the ex-husband of Kelly Bensimon of the NYC Housewives? I found that interesting for some reason considering Gilles has never made an appearance on the NYC Housewives. By the way the photos of Christine from the Daily Front Row magazine can be seen below.

Something else that robbed me the wrong way was a joke or non-joke Danielle made during an earlier episode about Christine being able to help her financially with her modeling career. Just wrong, wrong, and more wrong. Putting that kind of pressure on a 15 year-old girl is wrong and disgusting. There’s a good chance that Christine, despite being very gorgeous,, might not make it in the modeling world, so why even say that kind of thing? It’s become rather obvious that Danielle sees her daughters as meal tickets as she is also pushing her 12 year-old to get into the music industry, even calling her the next Miley Cyrus. Plus is it just me or does Danielle seem to be living vicariously through Christine’s new found career?

Tonight marks the all new 3rd episode of the second season of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. In case you’re wondering, the above picture is from last year.

The drama rages on when Danielle accuses Jacqueline of not being her own woman and standing up to her family. Meanwhile, a very pregnant Teresa and a determined Danielle are ecstatic to see their daughters modeling in New York Fashion Week. But Danielle’s daughter Christine is not 100 percent prepared to walk down the runway.

You will have to tune in to see if a mishap unfolds and costs both Christine and Danielle a future in fashion. We will also be seeing Teresa’s husband, Joe, being mean to their then 8-year-old daughter Gia.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey held their season 2 premiere party Tuesday night at the Manzos’ Brownstone in Paterson, NJ.

It was a family affair as cast members Teresa Giudice, Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita brought their families along. Also in attendance was Susan Saunders Jill Zarin, and Alex and Simon from the NYC Housewives franchise. Missing in action were Dina Manzo and Danielle Staub. More photos from the party below.

Also making headlines and gracing this week’s cover of Life&Style magazine is Dina Manzo who apparently underwent a bubbies breast reduction.

Dina reveals she had her surgery on April 6 to correct a decade-old breast augmentation that she says gave her back pain and made her self-conscious. “I woke up from surgery and just knew I was super huge and needed to get the implants taken out,” she tells Life & Style of her 2000 surgery. “I went back within the first two weeks and got them reduced.”

Despite her first reduction, Dina reveals she was still unhappy with her breast size. “I was uncomfortable and felt like I was carrying a child around with me all the time,” she says. “Plus, you don’t realize it until you have big boobs, but they’re a pain when it comes to dressing.”

Dina says her new surgery has taken her from her previous 32DD size breasts to a more modest 32C cup. “Everyone says I look the way I should now,” boasts the NJ housewife. “I’m proportional!’

NJ Housewife Teresa Giudice Defends Daughter’s Racist Comments

There’s a new scandal brewing amongst the Real Housewives of New Jersey and it involves the 9 year-old daughter of Teresa Giudice.

Though the 2nd season of the New Jersey Housewives doesn’t premiere until May 3rd, Bravo has supplied certain media outlets with the season premiere episode and Teresa’s 9 year-old daughter, Gia Giudice, is seen making racist anti-Semitic comments.

According to HollywoodLife, Gia, 9, is seen saying she’d never marry a Jewish guy and goes on to make a gesture mocking Hasidic Jews’ long, curly hair when referring to Jewish people. When Teresa was asked about her daughter’s comments during an April 20th interview, she snapped, “I can’t control what my daughter says. Kids say dumb things … what, am I going to be crucified for it?”

No, Teresa cannot control what her daughter says, but the bigger question is where did her daughter learn this language and behavior from? I think from her home and parents would be a good guess. This will likely spark a major controversy once the new season premieres.

Teresa then goes on to defend her husband, Joe Giudice, who was arrested for a DUI back in January. “He was two seconds from home and he closed his eyes for two seconds and yawned when he was turning the bend,” said Teresa. “It’s pretty sad you can’t have one drink … everybody does it. I know he was not drunk at all.”
