“She’s the face of our company,” says Sizzle Tans owner Rob Hornung to PEOPLE. “We’re running that commercial on 10 networks.” Hornung adds that they plan on “putting [Teresa's] face — and very tan body — on billboards around New Jersey.” The video of Teresa’s ad is below.
Teresa On The View Talk Show - It seems Teresa will be appearing ABC’s The View on Monday, all this according to Teresa of course. When a fan asked her to confirm her DWTS appearance, Teresa tweeted, “I can’t comment on it anymore but I will be on “The View” on Monday on ABC… ”
UPDATE: A quick look at The View’s official website does indeed confirm Teresa will be a guest on Monday. Will be interesting to see the ladies grill her what she has to say.
Teresa’s Auction Goes Global & New Objection – The Wall Street Journal is now reporting that due to the high amount of publicity and press Teresa and hubby Joe Giudice’s upcoming auction has generated, the auction will now be made global. Potential bidders will be able to register at Proxibid, a website that does as many as 800 auctions a month and reports bidders from 175 countries, to bid on Teresa’s home items.
Teresa and Juicy Joe have however formally objected to the auction, according to Mike Sklar, a partner with A.J. Willner (the company planning to hold the auction).
Teresa and Joe are now claiming some of the items scheduled for auction were purchased after the bankruptcy petition, and that other items belong to relatives. Yes folks, they are really claiming that. Sklar however makes it clear these types of objections are typical. The objection hearing is scheduled for August 16.
And get this, the WSJ also adds in their report that they were unable to reach the Giudices for a comment on the story “because their phone is disconnected.”
The video of Teresa’s local tanning commerical is below -

In other news, another day, another new unflattering story about Teresa Giudice. The NYPost is reporting today that the broke Real Housewives of NJ star, who’s home items will be getting auctioned off next month, demanded $3,000 to appear at a charity event for abused women.
The Post reports a manager for Teresa said she would only appear at the July 19 New Jersey fund-raiser for Strengthen Our Sisters if she was paid. The event organizer told the Post, “Mike Esterman, who books her appearances, said . . . she would not show up unless she got paid. I explained this was for a shelter for women and children. He said it doesn’t matter…Danielle Staub, her daughters, and Lori Michaels came for free.”
Esterman however attempts to defend his client Teresa telling the Post, “I made it clear I only handle her paid appearances, and the fee is $3,000 and a car service. I said charity events have to be agreed by Teresa personally, and they should reach out to her directly.”
In other Teresa news, a new scandal is brewing in the form of Pizzagate. It all stems from Teresa’s comments during the last episode of the NJ Housewives during which she mentioned that she buys frozen dough to make her pizzas.
The only problem? It just so happens that Teresa has a dough recipe in her cookbook Skinny Italian, for what she calls the “best crust in the world!” This is leading some of Teresa’s fans to question the honesty and integrity of her book.
Below is a preview clip of Teresa wanting diamonds from hubbyJoe Giudice. Keep in mind this episode was filmed just weeks after the Giudices filed bankruptcy.
TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON CHARITYGATE & PIZZAGATE, PLUS TONIGHT’S EPISODE OF THE NJ HOUSEWIVES?
We said a while back that you couldn’t make these things up, and folks you simply can’t when it comes to the Bravo housewives. Just a week after showing off her lavish unaffordable mansion in InTouch Weekly, Teresa Giudice’s luxurious home items have now been officially listed on an auction website to be auctioned off on August 22nd.
The website, A.J.Willner Auctions, specializes in auctioning off home items of the rich and morally bankrupt aka Teresa and hubby Joe Giudice. The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars, who can been seen bragging about their lavish lifestyle on the show, filed bankruptcy to the tune of $11 mil in debt back in October 2009.
And not only does the site list Teresa home address, and a time for the auction, 12:00pm for those interested in stopping by, it also posts the photos of items set for auction from Teresa’s home. Oddly enough, a lot of the items pictured, including Teresa’s stainless steel gas range, flat screen TV, and crest leather & fabric sofas, were all featured in her InTouch magazine home spread.
Other items of Teresa’s that are being auctioned off?
Schaefer & Sons Grand Piano
Wolf 48″ Stainless Steel Gas Range
1080 Pure 42″ LCD Television
Chippendale Style Arm Chair & Pair of Oversized Candle Sticks
Round Pine Kitchen Table & 8 Upholstered Tudor Style Chairs
Panasonic Viera Oversized LCD Television
Dark Finish King Size Bedroom Set
Love Seat, Upholstered Arm Chairs & Area Rug
Connelly Antique Style Pool Table
Faux Marble Chess Set
Yes, even the bed Teresa sleeps on will be auctioned off. Not sure if it gets any more humiliating than that. Unfortunately for the Giudices, their problems have only just began.
As we reported last week, Teresa and Joe are now being accused of perjury by their bankruptcy trustee John Sywilok, whose responsibility is to round up the Giudices’ assets and distribute the proceeds to creditors.
John alleges in court documents dated June 30 that the couple failed to list profits from several business, including Teresa’s clothing line TG Fabulicious LLC, a pizza parlor (which was shown in the most recent episode of Real Housewives) and her cookbook, Skinny Italian, which he claims was written prior to the bankruptcy filing.
The Wall Street Journal also reveals the Giudices are accused of undervaluing some of their luxury items in their bankruptcy filing, including a pool table ($1,000), wedding bands ($400) and living room furniture ($2,000). Like anyone would believe their wedding bands cost $400.
Jim Kridel, an attorney for the Giudices, however tells PEOPLE his clients are innocent of any wrong doing and he plans to object to the filing in court, saying they did not hide sources of income.
“The contract for Teresa’s book was signed after the bankruptcy petition was filed, and all money was received post petition,” he says, adding that the Giudices are legally allowed to freely spend money earned after filing bankruptcy. “If she knew the recipes, it doesn’t take four years to write a cook book,” he says. “It’s not a Mary Higgins Clark novel.”
As for the pizzeria, Kridel claims it is owned by Joe’s father, and therefore should have never been considered an asset at the time of the filing. What’s interesting is that Teresa said during last episode of the NJ Housewives that Joe owned the pizza parlour.
And when it comes to the book fiasco, Teresa is likely lying about that as well, because Teresa wrote in one of her Bravo blogs back in June that her book, Skinny Italian, went to press before Bethenny Frankel’s book, The Skinnygirl Dish, came out. This was Teresa’s attempts at fending off rumors that she copied Bethenny’s book.
So let’s dig a little more into this. Bethenny’s book came out December, 29, 2009 according to Amazon. Teresa filed for Bankruptcy on October 29, 2009. So according to Teresa, she signed the contract for her book, finished writing the book, and was able to get it to press, all within a 2 month span?! Well, we call BS and say it’s highly impossible unlikely. Plus one also has to wonder if Teresa is being made fully aware of her financial troubles. Showing off her home in a national magazine two weeks after their trustee filed documents to auction off her home items just seems surreal and downright moronic, but then again…
TELL US: DO YOU FEEL BAD FOR TERESA & JOE? WILL YOU BE ATTENDING THE AUCTION?
UPDATE - It seems the items listed on the auction website are only the featured items of the auction. A whole lot more of Teresa’s home items will also be auctioned off including all of the beds of her kids, all of the TVs in the kids’ bedrooms, toys, games, books, and even some of her baby’s items including the crib and rocker. Even her refrigerators and jewelry will be auctioned off.
Other items include the kids’ bikes, Gia’s ATV that was given to her on the show for her birthday, and also a boat owned by the Giudices. Poor kids. You can see the full list of auction items by clicking here. Thanks to our reader Anita Vacation for the link.
UPDATE #2 – More photos of Teresa’s home items to be auctioned off have been added.
Despite the fact that she and her husband Joe Giudiceare being accused of perjury, in the form of concealing assets during their bankruptcy filing, in addition to an auction date set for August 22nd to auction off the contents of their home items to pay off their creditors, Teresa Giudice is showing off her home in the latest issue of In Touch magazine.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, who seems to be in major denial when it comes to her financial and legal woes, tells the mag of her 12,000-square-foot NJ mansion: “My house is very warm — even though it’s big, it’s very inviting and that’s what I love.”
And despite the fact that her husband’s finances are being investigated by the IRS plus the very public knowledge of her $11 million debt, Teresa makes certain to brag about just how luxurious her mansion is. “We had our house built with nothing but marble, granite and onyx,” she says, “I don’t think you can ever have too much of that. I could’ve had even more,” says Teresa the idiot.
Teresa could also be heard bragging that her mansion is worth $5 mil in last week’s episode of the Real Housewives of NJ, despite the fact that it’s value was listed at $1.7 mil in their bankruptcy filing. More photos of Teresa’s home below.
In other NJ news, more legal woes for Danielle Staub. Just days after her ex-boytoy/former sex tape partner Steve Zalewski filed suit against her for defamation, Zap2It is now reporting that her ex-husband is also planning to file a new lawsuit against her within the next two weeks .
That ex-husband is Kevin Maher, the man who wrote ‘Cop Without A Badge,’ the book which details Danielle’s sordid past as a prostitution coke whore.
Kevin tells Zap2it his attorneys will file a lawsuit against Danielle, her book’s alleged ghost writer and its publisher, Simon & Schuster for “lies” found in her book, “The Naked Truth.”
And what exactly are those lies? “The lie that she told about me was that I beat her in a cocaine stupor for days,” Kevin says. “And then when the police showed up, I confessed and then I went to prison.” He adds, “I was never in prison in my adult life. Period.”
Kevin also reveals he is actually working with Steve and that the two had hoped their suits would hit together. “Steve and I were working together,” he reveals. “We wanted to sue her on both coasts at the same time, but my lawyer was too busy and Steve beat us to it.”
They say when it rains it pours, and when it comes to the financial troubles of Teresa Giudice, it seems to be storming.
First news came out that the Real Housewives of New Jersey star and her husband Joe Giudice filed for bankruptcy last October to the tune of $11 million in debt. Then the NYPost also reported the Giudices’ finances was being investigated by the IRS. News of a $1 million fraud/forgery lawsuit against Joe by his ex-business partner also made headlines.
Fast forward to today and there is now a new story from Zap2It, via the Wall Street Journal, stating the Giudices are being investigated for concealing some of their assets during their bankruptcy filing.
The accusation comes directly from their Chapter 7 trustee John Sywilok, who is responsible for rounding up the couple’s assets in order to distribute payments to their creditors. Sywilok is investigating them for concealing income and assets.
They alleged assets & income concealed include:
Interests in a pizza parlor and Laundromat,
Teresa’s TG Fabulicious clothing and accessories company, and
Teresa’s “Skinny Italian” cookbook, which is a New York Times bestseller
Sywilok also accuses the couple of making false statements under oath about their assets, income and expenses. Perhaps some of our readers knowledgeable in law can comment on the seriousness of this accusation. Is it right up there with tax evasion?
But the financial troubles still doesn’t end there for Teresa and Joe. While Teresa continues to try to convince us her home is safe, despite the fact that it was publicly listed for sale last month, albeit briefly, it seems the contents of her home might be in serious jeopardy.
The trustee is also trying to hold a public auction for the contents of the Giudices $1.7 $5 million NJ mansion, which happens to be the home they live in.
The auction has already been set for August 22, and up for grabs will be the couple’s home furnishings, accessories, tools and a boat.
Ironically enough, Teresa, who might or might not be completely out of touch with reality, is in this week’s issue of InTouch magazine showing off her home. Teresa tells the mag, “We had our house built with nothing but marble, granite and onyx.” She adds,“I don’t think you can ever have too much of that. I could’ve had even more.” And folks, we simply can’t make this up.
TELL US: WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS STORY? DO YOU FEEL BAD FOR THE GIUDICES OR DO THEY HAVE NO ONE TO BLAME BUT THEMSELVES?
In addition to their $11 million debt and October 2009 bankruptcy filing, the Post is now reporting Joe Giudice is being accused by a former business partner of forging his signature on a mortgage document in order to take out another loan and pocket $1 million.
Court papers reveal the alleged forgery took place in 2007, and it’s unknown what Joe did with the cash. The said business partner Joe Mastropole won an Oct. 23, 2009 judgment in his case, which is now in dispute because the Giudices filed for bankruptcy just days later.
An attorney for the Giudices admitted that Joe signed the document, but said he did so with Mastropole’s permission. Mastropole however calls this “a lie.”
The problems don’t end there for the Giudices as people are also questioning whether the big time spenders – who owned three homes and drove a Cadillac Escalade and a Maserati — are really broke. “I think that Joe had numerous assets,” said Bob Kaslander, co-owner of Excelsior Lumber in Butler, NJ, who was stiffed $91,266. “I don’t think they’re bankrupt.”
The IRS is also currently investigating Joe Giudice’s business interests, which included a stone and stucco company.
Get ready to see even more of the Kardashians whether you like it or not as the NYPost is reporting Khloe Kardashian and hubby Lamar Odom have gotten their own reality show.
According to the Post, the show will follow the newlyweds as Khloe, 26, tries to get pregnant, in addition to other storylines such as trying to furnish her new home with Lamar.
E! has yet to confirm the news, but Khloe however tweeted the following this week: “Amazing lunch meeting with Lamar! So many amazing new things are about to happen!”
The 38-year-old mother of four declares she likes her “body better now!” since having her children. Teresa also credits her breast implants for helping her feel confident in a bikini. “I just got them done last summer, so this is my first time wearing a bikini and I have to say, this is the happiest I have ever been with my body. I feel like I have the whole package!”
Teresa, who’s been married to hubby Joe Giudice for 10 years explains how a “healthy Italian diet,” gym workouts and running after her kids has helped her get into tip-top shape for the summer.
You look amazing! How much do you weigh now?
Well, I hardly ever weigh myself, but I do fit back into most of the clothes I wore before I had Audriana. I think I’m a 27 jean size and size 4 in dresses.
Did you diet to lose the baby weight so fast?
No! I’m never on a diet. I always eat what I want. When I was pregnant, I had to eat anything that was in front of my face. It’s an Italian thing — they say if you see something and don’t eat it, your baby will get a birthmark!
What part of your body do you like the most?
I love my new boobies, but if I had to pick between an ass or boobs, I’d have to say my ass is more important to me. I’m proud of my bubble butt!
More bikini shots of Teresa below.
In other housewives news, a new episode of Bethenny’s Getting Married? (really hate dislike that darn question mark) is airing tonight. In a different kind of March madness, Bethenny Frankel tries to get some planning done but it’s hard when she competes with March Madness for Jason’s attention. A preview clip is below.
If there’s one thing we have all grown accustomed to when it comes to Bravo housewives, it is their penchant fondness for the good life and excessive, borderline obnoxious, bragging of their “lavish lifestyles.”
For example, did you know three civil suits were filed against Danielle Staub and her ex-husband Thomas Staub, including federal and state tax liens? Yeah, neither did we. This might explain why a 47-year-old mother of two would make a sex tape and sell it to the highest bidder. All allegedly of course.
Below is more information about each housewife’s financial history -
Caroline Manzo – Caroline’s husband Albert Manzo has been involved in over 30 judgments and liens (one brought on by a family member) since the early ’90s up until two years ago . Throughout the ’90s and into 2000, there were several judgments against Caroline for nonpayment of hospital and doctors’ bills, as well another judgment involving “Church Chronicle Publishing.”
A state tax lien for $10,546.17 was filed against Albert Manzo in 2000.
A judgment in favor of the Federal Mortgage Association for $148,000 also against Al.
A few judgments in favor of the First Bank of USA and North Jersey Federal Credit for a combined total of over $10,000.
Dina Manzo – Jezebel reports out of all the housewives, Dina is the only one who has a clean slate when it comes to her financial history. Her husband, Tommy Manzo, is however a different story. Dina married Tommy (the brother of Caroline’s husband) in 2006 in a lavish wedding that reportedly cost $1.5 million. The wedding was featured on VH1′s My Big Fat Fabulous Wedding. You can watch that here.
Tommy was sued by American Express for $12,599 in 2007
He was also sued by the Bank of America for an undisclosed amount.
Jacqueline Laurita- Similar to Dina, Jacqueline also seems to have a clean financial slate. However as we reported this week, the company of Jacqueline’s husband, Chris Laurita, filed for bankrupty last year. The company, Signature Apparel Group LLC, was behind the Rocawear and Eve’s Fetish clothing brands. The financial issues found on the Lauritas were for the years 1988 and 1990.
United Jersey bank successfully won a judgment against Chris for over $18,000 in 1988.
American Express also successfully won a judgment against Chris for almost $3000 in 1990.
