After Teresa was sentenced and all the bigwigs sat around wondering what to do now, I was like, “Um, FIRE HER?!?” I mean, seriously! I was not shocked, however, to learn that a pink slip wasn’t on the list of options.
Joe Giudice threatened to kick cameramen in the head on his way to court this morning if they didn’t get out of his way and it looks like one of them got a little too close. Juicy shoved the camera out of his way and it appears as if it hit the cameraman in the face and knocked his glasses off.
CBS reporter Dave Carlin shared the photo on Twitter, “EXCLUSIVE Reality TV’s #JoeGiudice roughed up a News photographer before taking a plea deal in Passaic Court. CBS 5pm.” He also says that Joe dropped an F bomb while the altercation went down.
This morning in courtJoe was undecided about accepting the deal mainly because of the license suspension stipulation. He will be the one driving around their four girls next year when Teresa Giudicegoes to prison for nearly 15 months. By not accepting the deal Joe would’ve went to trial and faced the possibility of 10 years in prison for this case (adding over 6 more years onto the Federal sentence). He decided that figuring out a way to drive himself and the kids around for a year would be easier than potentially sitting in prison for several additional years!
Oh, Joe Giudice – will you never learn: you fought the law and the law won (again and again and again!). Despite the fact that he is literally standing in front a judge right now, the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star is still not prepared to make a decision in his identity fraud case. Lord these Giudices are so disorganized!
Joe is back in a Passaic County courthouse today as a last-ditch effort to arrange a plea deal in his identity fraud case. He previously rejected a few of them in favor of going to trial to prove he’s innocent (HAHAHAHAHA!) despite prosecutors revealing they have very, very convincing evidence against him. The latest plea deal offered by prosecutors gives Joe the opportunity to run his 41 month federal sentence concurrently with his state sentence, but witnesses from court reveal that Juicy is insisting he’s innocent and wants a trial.
The crux of the issue for Joe is that if he accepts the plea deal he won’t legally be able to drive while he awaits his turn to serve time as his license will be suspended for up to 18 months. However IF Juicy goes to trial, he could wind up with the maximum sentence of 10 years. Hmmm, let’s break this down in simplistic terms: 18 months of being trapped in the house with Milania (#GimmeTheKeysYouOldTroll) vs. 10 years of being trapped in prison with…
Joe Giudice‘s legal battle continues! After receiving a 41 month federal sentence, Joe is back in court tomorrow to settle his identity fraud case – and he must decide to accept a plea deal – or go to trial!
After he stole his brother’s identity to fraudulently obtain a driver’s license after he lost his to a DUI, Joe was arrested and concrete evidence obtained by prosecutors proved that he intentionally used faulty information to get a license illegally.
And the hits just keep on coming for Teresa and Joe Giudice. After being sentenced to prison on multiple fraud charges — she got 15 months, he got 41 — now the judge has gone a step further and is insisting that the couple keep all of their finances separate from now on. (updated below)
Which could spell trouble for Juicy Joe, because we can never quite pin down what he does for a living. Although the Real Housewives of New Jersey star told Andy Cohen during their sit-down that he “still has his rentals” and that he is getting back into the building business, we have also seen him open a couple of restaurants and yet he always seems to be at home. Hmmmm……..
A week after receiving a 15 month sentence for fraud, Teresa Giudice is speaking out about going to prison and admitting that she feels guilty “every day” for her actions. However Teresa says she is ready to learn from her mistakes, focus on the positives, and come back stronger.
“I wish I could do everything differently,” a tearful Teresa acknowledges. “But then again, maybe not, because this is a life lesson I need to learn and will learn, and will teach my children for the rest of my life, just as Judge Salas told me she expected me to do.”
“I have to look at what will come of this while I’m away,” the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star accepts. “The bond between my children and their father, Joe, my honey, will grow stronger and stronger. And that is something I will be grateful for.”
In just one example, she replied to a fans tweet regarding the sentencing. “@FamilyIsLoyalty: Ohhhh @daniellestaub dontcha frigin LOVE karma baby!!!!!!! Yup.”
“Yup.” Classy. Well, I guess Danielle realized that she could get a little publicity — nothing like capitalizing on someone’s tragedy — so she has changed her tune in order to get on TV. (Somewhere we were hoping never to see her again.)
