Joseline

So Love & Hip Hot Atlanta, right? I hope y’all didn’t crash Fandango’s site trying to get tickets to the movie that surely proves the apocalypse is near. What in the world? Are Stevie J. and Joseline Hernandez the next Brangelina? I digress…let’s backtrack a bit, shall we? Last night’s episode begins with the Jessica Dime/Joseline showdown, except it’s not an actual showdown. Both women want to remind the other of their memories of the past. Jessica wants Shanellequa Bennecourt to recall their friendship and their nights out on the town…and the evening they stayed in together, but all Joseline can recollect is that they once shared a locker at the strip club. For some reason, Joseline has a handful of singles she starts throwing at Jessica, who retaliates by throwing the dollar bill back in Joseline’s face. Before anyone can get bent out of shape over the dollar shower that’s happening, Jessica is escorted out by production assistants. Really, ladies? I had higher hopes for you both.

Kirk Frost is working with new artist Ashley Nicole who is rightfully nervous about how his wife Rasheeda will feel about her upcoming performance given the recent back and forth between the two. Ashley is hoping to prove herself to Rasheeda so that her contract doesn’t get shredded due to her disrespectful behavior. Rasheeda prides herself on being a businesswoman, so she’s happy to oblige, and she vows to Erica Dixon that she know there is no funny business between Ashley and her husband. If this girl is going to make her money, that’s fine by Rasheeda. Of course, Ashley’s auto tune lip sync and barely there outfit leave Rasheeda with a bad taste in her mouth…that and the fact that Kirk introduced her as his “sexy new artist.” Not able to read her audience, Ashley approaches Rasheeda immediately after her song who is happy to give her constructive criticism. Ashley teases that Kirk picked out her outfit (it was classier than what she’d first chosen), but she needs Rasheeda’s input on her future career. Ashley is humble, and she wants Rasheeda and Kirk to be one happy family on her upcoming promotional tour. Erica can’t believe her ears, and Ashley has the somewhat good sense to exit before she further sticks her foot in her mouth.

So, there definitely wasn’t a lot of love being shown on last week’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. Margeaux expressed her desire to separate from husband and sex tape star extraordinaire Nikko, and Khadiyah sent Yung Joc packing after he couldn’t commit. After all, he’s got all the members of his baby mama club wanting to dry his tears in the wake of their break-up. Best friends Mimi Faust and Ariane had it out over Mimi’s participation in said tape’s leak, and Kalenna and Tony faced tension in light of his new investment…and his decision to no longer manage his wife’s career.

It seems the only couple that is doing halfway decently is Rasheeda and Kirk Frost. Funny how quickly the tides change! The episode begins with Joc and Rasheeda discussing the statuses of their respective relationships. Rasheeda chides Joc that he can’t keep hopping from one ex to the next, and Joc changes the subject to share how much Kirk claims to love his wife these days. Joc requests that Rasheeda intervene on behalf of he and KD, and she agrees. Anything to get him off her and Kirk’s sofa! Across town, Jessica Dime is meeting with Dawn. She’s tired of letting Mimi barely manage her career. The women are getting massages and complaining about Mimi’s lack of professionalism. Jessica wonders when she’ll get to work with Stevie J., but Dawn reminds her that Stevie isn’t going to be doing anything anytime soon. Jessica needs to come on board with Dawn’s management, and Dawn promises a big payout for appearances.

Who is at the door? No seriously? Who is Mimi Faust meeting with that she should have been honest with long ago? Last week we were served with a cliffhanger of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta proportions, and I need to know who is on the other side of Mimi’s front door. Unless it’s Stevie J., because that will just be a major let down…and I’m deflated like a popped balloon. Mimi wants to come clean to Stevie? Please. Speaking on her sex tape with Nikko, Mimi admits that it was Nikko’s idea to leak the video for cash. However, Mimi reveals that she knew that Nikko was going to sell the tape and she helped him come up with the story. He even decided to make her the victim. Mimi cries about her horrible decisions, and Stevie reminds her that she doesn’t need to feel sorry for herself. Instead, she needs to go forward making sure they make this right for their daughter’s future. Stevie can’t judge Mimi’s actions as he’s done much worse. Mimi feels as if a weight has been lifted off her shoulders. She only hopes everyone else will be as understanding as her ex.

Lil’ Scrappy is meeting with former step-father Ernest. He muses that if he can forgive Ernest for stealing from him, everyone else should follow suit. Ernest wants to prove himself to Momma Dee’s kids, and he shares that he is ready to renew his vows with Dee. Scrappy is shocked by how quickly their relationship is progressing…he figured his fickle mother would want a long engagement in the event she grows bored of Ernest. Whatever makes the pair happy works for Scrap, and he’s more than a little excited to pass off his overbearing mother onto someone else.

Last night’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta was everything. All of Yung Joc’s baby mamas are in some book club hybrid that is simply amazing, and the remaining story lines paled in comparison. Don’t believe me? Let’s begin at the beginning…

Tony is trying to convince Kalenna to invest in a new Atlanta nightclub, but after hearing about Stevie J.’s experience, Kalenna is very skeptical…and she shares as much with the requesting investor. Tony hates that Joseline Hernandez gotten into her head to squash this deal, but let’s be honest, someone needs to be asking the hard questions! He’s frustrated that Kalenna has so many reservations about what he considers to be an amazing deal to dump their entire life savings. Not wanting to further upset her husband, Kalenna caves and agrees to fork over all of their cash. Hey, at least they’re getting paid for this show, right?

With so many “cliffhangers” from last week’s episode, I couldn’t wait to find out what happened when Mimi Faust finally had an exchange with Nikko’s wife Margeaux regarding that now ridiculously played out sex tape. How did Stevie J fare in federal court while facing massive child support claims with Joseline Hernandez by his side? Are Kirk Frost and Rasheeda ever going to get an original story line? Is Mona Scott Young getting the last laugh? I’d have to give a resounding “yes!” to that last one, and yet I am just as enthralled every week. Who’s with me?

Last night’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta begins with the Mimi/Margeaux introduction, and Mimi is quick to tell Margeaux that Nikko didn’t have an issue hiding his marriage for two years when he was sleeping with her. Is that supposed to be a good thing? Margeaux and Mimi are back and forth with their words and their hands, each yelling at the other to get fingers out of faces. Ariane tries to pull Mimi off of Margeaux, and she says what everyone else is thinking. Both of these “ladies” need to be focusing their aggression on Nikko, not on each other. The women are accusing each other of being cowards, and Margeaux wonders why Mimi wants to keep it a secret that she was the mastermind behind the sex tape leak. Mimi storms out, and Margeaux tries to explain Mimi’s part in the VIVID revelation. While Ariane has had her doubts about Mimi’s story, she has to believe what her friend tells her…unless proven otherwise.

I know y’all have missed the crew from Love & Hip Hop Atlanta after it got booted last week for the wedding of Yandeecees. Sure, we got to see Stevie J, Rasheeda and Kirk Frost, Joseline Hernandez, and Lil’ Scrappy as they were in attendance at the live event, but it’s not the simz-nigh-ame without a messy Monday night episode. Plus, I’ve been waiting with baited breath for Momma Dee’s dinner party of forgiveness.

Speaking of, Scrappy is hosting his mom, her ex-husband Ernest who she sent to the clink a few years back who has returned from jail even more in love, his mother Bessie who isn’t Dee’s biggest fan due to the incarceration, and the prince’s sister Jasmine who can’t fathom why her mom wants to reconcile with Ernest. Oh, and Bambi and Jasmine’s boyfriend Rico are in attendance as well, but they aren’t likely going to bring much drama to this table. Dee blesses the meal, and Scrappy prays for a conflict-free evening. Dee addresses the elephants in the room, and Bessie cries that it was difficult to learn how to forgive Dee for sending her son to jail. Bessie contends there are better ways to punish your drug-dealing, verbally abusive, car-stealing husband than to call the cops on him. Just make him fend for himself on laundry for a week! Jasmine interrupts that Ernest is an opportunist for wanting to get back together with Dee after she put him away for seven years. Dee threatens to whoop Jasmine’s butt up and down Atlanta, but Scrappy does his best to mediate. Can’t everyone behave like adults? Ernest believes they have a long way to go before they’ll be a big, happy family. Ernest…mastering the understatement since 1984.

I am not quite sure how to take this season’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. While the men are as messy as ever (I’m still looking at you, Kirk!), the women’s behavior is all over the charts. Is Mimi a hustler or most questionable of the group? Do the “artists” some of the folks are trying to “manage” understand the concept of professionalism? What is the world coming to when Stevie J. is the most normal person on the show? I don’t have many more evens to can’t.

Last night’s episode begins with the much touted meeting between Nikko’s wife Margeaux and Joseline Hernandez. Joseline is hoping that her enemy’s enemy could potentially be her best friend. Margeaux admits that it’s hard to be in Atlanta where she has no ties, and Nikko’s sex tape with Mimi Faust has thrown her for a loop. While she and Nikko weren’t together when he made the tape with Mimi Faust, Margeaux didn’t like being married to a man who the world thinks leaked the shower rod video. Margeaux lets it slip that it was Mimi’s plan to devise the story surrounding how Vivid ended up with the footage because she was hurting for cash. From inception to post-production, Mimi was in charge even though she played the victim. Joseline isn’t surprised in the least to learn this news, and she can’t wait to use it against Stevie J.’s ex.

Last night’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta wasn’t really what I was expecting. Sympathizing with Stevie and mild S&M? Game changer for sure! Stevie J. has survived his first ten days in rehab, and he’s feeling much better about his recovery. However, he’s not permitted to have visitors so Joseline Hernandez has arrived to rehash her sit down with Mimi Faust. There goes Stevie’s calm vibe. He wants her to work on her anger management, and he urges her to give up smoking now that he’s giving up drinking. Stevie shares that he can’t be around liquor for at least a year once he’s out of the program, and he’d prefer not to be subjected to any tempting substances. Hold up! It’s not Joseline’s problem that Stevie has a drinking problem…she’s not giving up smoking just to appease him. Stevie requests that she talk to his doctor about his post-rehab needs, but she isn’t interested in talking to some bunk-ass therapist.

I didn’t realized that Kalenna and Tony Vick would be joining us again this season, but they’re back and she’s about to give birth. They complain that the pregnancy came about at the most inopportune time. They are suffering from financial problems and had to close their studio mid-production of her latest album. Tony relays that he has the chance to invest in some clubs with a a real estate developer. Kalenna thinks his scheme is too risky, plus the last time he worked with this friend, there were rumors all over town that Tony was cheating on her. Speaking of bad business deals, Karlie Redd is meeting up with Rasheeda to discuss the messiness at her boutique opening. Karlie wants to know why Rasheeda brought Erica Dixon to the opening of her event after Karlie ditched her plan with Erica to open a store. Rasheeda accuses Jessica Dime Piece for stirring the pot unnecessarily, and the one get into a screaming match in the restaurant in an attempt to one-up one another. AARP Karlie speeds off, and not a single patron in that crowded restaurant acted like anything was weird about two grown woman shrieking insults at one another during the lunch rush. Weird for “reality,” I know…
