One thing we can always count on reality TV stars for is drama! As 2015 comes to a close we’re revisiting the year’s most shocking and scandalous headlines. And of course we’re eager to see what 2016 has in store.
Probably the biggest headline concerned the Duggar family, formerly one of TLC’s most popular attractions until eldest son Josh Duggar undid the family dynasty! The Conservative Family Values advocate found himself embroiled in two extremely salacious sex scandals. TLC ultimately canceled 19 Kids & Counting.
This was just the latest bad press for the network: in 2014 their once-popular Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was canceled when matriarch Mama June was caught dating the man who served time in prison for molesting her eldest daughter Anna. TLC also continues to face controversy over Kate Plus 8, which returned to television following a long hiatus.

Wow. The hits just keep coming for Josh Duggar these days, don’t they? As if Josh molesting a few of his underage sisters years ago was not bad enough, it recently came out that the former 19 Kids And Counting star also had an account with Ashley Madison, aka the website for cheaters. And as it turns out, Duggar was not only looking around on the website – he did indeed cheat on his wife, Anna.
Now, Duggar’s alleged mistress is speaking out about her affair with the star, and it’s pretty bad. In fact, Danica Dillon, the stripper and porn star who slept with Josh, claims that their affair was so violent, it was almost bordering rape. What’s more is that Dillon claims she had no idea who she was getting involved with. We’re guessing that if she did, she probably would have turned him down.

The network was reportedly hoping that viewer fascination with the Duggar brood and the popularity of eldest girls Jana, Jill and Jessa was enough to salvage the already controversial show, but the fallout from the discovery that Josh molested his sisters and other girls as a teen refused to die-down. In fact it seemed to be exacerbated by Josh’s wife Anna’s fourth pregnancy and the Duggar family’s refusal to really confront the situation honestly or to treat their daughters as victims.
Today the network finally announced that the Duggars would no longer be returning to TV. This morning a network representative informed the Associated Press that the Duggars “will no longer appear on the air.”
TLC announced this afternoon that it’s pulling all episodes of 19 Kids and Counting in the wake of the Josh Duggar molestation scandal. Mama June is probably a little sad she has to put that lawsuit on hold…possibly.
TLC isn’t exactly saying that they’re canceling the show, just that they’re pulling the episodes off the air. “Effective immediately, TLC has pulled all episodes of 19 Kids And Counting currently from the air. We are deeply saddened and troubled by this heartbreaking situation, and our thoughts and prayers are with the family and victims at this difficult time.” They didn’t give any further info about the status of the show.
Former Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star June Shannon (aka Mama June) is hopping mad at TLC this morning and she’s about to lawyer up. June is furious that the network hasn’t pulled the plug on 19 Kids and Counting now that Josh Duggar has admitted to molesting several young girls when he was a teenager, a few even allegedly his own sisters.
