The much anticipated return of fan favorite Malibu Madison Hildebrand, unfortunately, did not happen on last night’s episode of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles. WTH??!! Bravo had duped viewers into thinking that he would be making an appearance this week. How could they do that to us?? The editing seemed a bit wonky last night. Hopefully, the producers have not cut him out of the show entirely and are just delaying our gratification. If they can bring back Bethenny Frankel on RHONY, they can work their magic to bring back our hottie by the sea. We want Madison! We want Madison! He was the yin to the Joshes yang. Now it’s just all yang. And modern box houses that everyone seems to be talking about this week. They know we want to see different real estate porn, right?! (Whispers) Malibu.
Speaking of modern box houses… Josh Altman has a new listing in West Hollywood with ‘Ilan the Developer’. This is the guy that he and Josh Flagg got in a fight over last season, which led to the slap heard around the world. Well, maybe just in Los Angeles. It was just a light dusting across the cheek, not an assault as ‘Josh the Jock’ likes to claim. Anyway, Ilan’s house is ready to flip. And Heather might have a buyer for him. This should be interesting! The house is actually not your typical cookie cutter new construction going up in the WeHo neighborhood. This 4171 sq. ft. Spanish contemporary has a terra cotta tiled roof, lofted ceilings, and a salt water pool. Ilan agrees to list it for $2.795m. A great deal if you want something slightly different than all the others and can afford it.
This season of Million Dollar Listing LA seems to be missing something. Um, besides Malibu hottie Madison Hildebrand, I mean. Josh Flagg will forever be my favorite. And I honestly do not mind the newbies, James Harris and David Parnes, because I absolutely love that they annoy Josh Altmanso much. Still, I can’t pinpoint why, but this season’s vibe feels off to me.
Is it just me? One person for sure disagrees with me – Josh. And not the one I want to be my best friend forever.
About this week’s show, Josh Altman blogged, “I must say that was by far one of the most entertaining episodes yet. Between the agent drama, the client drama, and the wedding drama, it had me sitting on the edge of my desk chair. This has to be the most exciting season yet… minus Flagg, as there is nothing exciting about anything he does.”
On last night’s episode of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, viewers had the pleasure of hearing James Harris try to ‘rap’ not once, but twice! The man has serious street cred. Not really. But what he does have is an amazing property above the Sunset Strip in Hollywood that he and his partner, David Parnes, are hoping will appeal to young entertainers in the industry. So the boys grab their iPad and run over to a recording studio where they are introduced to none other than the ‘Rack City’ rapper, Tyga. He lives an hour outside of L.A. and needs a crib closer to the studio where he can crash and party. The Brits show Tyga photos of the house and schedule a showing for the next day.
Josh Flagg is off to meet with his client, Jas, an architect/developer, who he met through his grandmother, Edith. Jas had done business with him via her building. He has a 1929 Spanish style home in the City of Beverly Hills that he wants to unload. It is in the lower priced area of Beverly Hills, which is perfect for someone who wants to buy into the lifestyle. But there is a catch. It is a tear-down that cannot be torn down due to the city’s preservation ordinance, meant for architectural treasures. Although this 2426 sq. ft. home has a few interesting details, this home is nowhere near such a treasure and is worth less than land. The interior can be gutted, but the existing exterior must remain intact. The frustration in that must have gotten to Jas the architect. He will no longer be renovating and moving in with his family. Josh advises him to list the property for $2m. A fair asking price.

On this week’s episode of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, the Altman brothers have picked up where they left off last week – in disagreement over the unfinished Hollywood Hills house. Matt is upset that Josh is still showing the property when he already has a buyer ready to make an offer. Josh reluctantly agrees to give his brother’s creepy client, Sam, twenty-four uninterrupted hours to close the deal.
Josh Flagg and Colton meet with business partner, Sabrina, to discuss their personal investment property, Marcheeta. This property is named after its location on one of the ‘bird’ streets in Beverly Hills. A highly desirable area where all the streets are named after different birds. Josh tells them that he has a premonition to sell. Since there is a lot of new construction going on in the area, they should get out while they are ahead. Sabrina and Colton are a little emotional having put in two years of sweat equity, but agree to sell once they hear that they will double their initial investment. Cha-ching!
To put it lightly, Josh Flagg has never been a fan of Josh Altman. Last season on Million Dollar Listing the competing real estate agents even came to blows. C’mon, admit it. You were SO happy when Josh slapped Altman across his face. His arrogance earned it!
But now Josh Flagg is calling out Altman again. This time it has nothing to do with competing for the same piece of property. Instead he is questioning Altman’s values. Personally, I wasn’t sure he had any to begin with…
On this week’s episode of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, James Harris and David Parnes have been showing their $48m listing, Faring, around the clock. There is not one offer on the table, so they are now considering a price reduction. Hmmm…you don’t say?! They are now off to see a new property estimated at only a measly $10m. The owner and developer, Tomer, show the Brits a newly constructed 9300 sq. ft. modern home with stellar views and a Las Vegas style pool. Is it just me or are all these modern properties starting to look the same? I must admit that I can envision throwing some awesome pool parties there. Though, I’d have to binge party like Lindsay Lohan as this guy only wants to lease it for…drum roll, please….one month!!! WTH?? Tomer said they could discuss selling later after he sees how it goes with the lease. I’m confused. He doesn’t want to sell? He might want to sell? It’s anybody’s guess, but they do agree to $47k for the one month lease. They arrived at this figure as the list price had to have a “7” in it. His lucky number. Not to mention some major OCD going on there. More on that later.
Josh Altman and his sidekick, Mikey, are scoping out a mid-construction property in the Hollywood Hills. Josh wants to find out who he can contact in order to get the listing. He has Mikey dress up like a construction worker to take a closer look. Poor Mikey. Always doing the dirty work for him. Even Josh admitted that his ‘mini-me’ intern who would supposedly do anything for him, wouldn’t do it. Mikey is able to get the contact information. Such a good sport. And, yes, we will pretend that there is nothing abnormal about carrying a construction worker costume around in your Porsche.
