Our favorite reality TV stars cannot get enough of the spotlight during their regularly scheduled time slots, so they take to social media to share even more of their daily lives with us. And we love them for it! Here's a roundup of some of our favorite family photos from the past few weeks.
Let's start with Catelynn and Tyler's beef with Farrah. To be honest, their unleashing on Farrah was deserved after Farrah blasted the couple for getting pregnant again. As you recall, the first season (EVER! Wow, that was back in the day!), Catelynn and Tyler's story followed them as they made the difficult decision to place their daughter up for adoption.
It's a little odd that MTV is calling this season 5 since the "first half" of this season has been over for a while and even had the reunion/catch up specials, too. For me, that means the season is over and we're on to season 6. I digress.
MTV released a new teaser trailer for the season 5 (and a half) premiere and it's just as we've come to expect – loaded with drama. Jenelle is battling with mama Barbara, who looks like she's had up to her eyeballs with Jenelle's non-parenting of Jace. Kailyn's son Isaac will be the voice of reason this time around, telling his mom to stop yelling. Things are looking rough for Jeremy and Leah and Leah cries about mounting medical bills (despite Jeremy making $5,000 a week not including their Teen Mom money…) and Chelsea battles with loser-for-life Adam Lind, who is dealing with another DUI and facing two years in jail/prison.
Well, this is a little feel good post, and goodness knows we don't get many of those when it comes to the girls of MTV's Teen Mom franchise. Kaily Lowry Marroquin has certainly been having a great few weeks, as you know. Not only was her memoir released last month, it has already made it to the New York Times Best Seller List.
Pride Over Pity chronicles Kailyn's past struggles, including sexual assaults, drug use, and a stint in a homeless shelter. Now married with two children and in college, Kailyn hopes the book will be an opportunity for her fans to see why she is how she is and learn from her experiences.
I'd bet that one of the best things about being a reality star who decides to write a book is that you already have a built in audience. Seriously, has a reality star ever "written" a book that hasn't ended up on the New York Times Bestseller List? Remember when that recognition was reserved for esteemed authors and not real housewives?
The latest reality star to achieve this honor is Teen Mom 2'sKailyn Lowry with her recently released memoirPride Over Pity. Y'all know Farrah Abraham is seething (and organizing a totally impromptu outing that will somehow, someway be documented by paparazzi she didn't realize were in the area…) over this piece of news!
There is no denying that the girls of the Teen Mom franchise haven't always had it easy, and in some cases their overnight success made their lives into an even bigger train wreck. Of course, there are a few of the young mothers that are trying to get their lives back on track.
While one of her counterparts has used her fame to catapult herself into the porn industry, Kailyn Lowry is hoping to that teens can learn from her past experiences that she's sharing in her new book Pride Over Pity.
It's Dr. Drewtime… I hope you stretched your eyeballs because they're about to be doing a lot of rolling. And if you're wearing false eyelashes because you want to look just like your favorite Teen Mom 2 star, I suggest you take them off for fear of injury during this reunion.
The set this year is really something – don't you love the giant TM2 letters with glittering lights. Things begin with all four girls on stage. Jenelle Evans has been taking hair tips from Chelsea Houska (but Megan is her terrible hairsome clone!) – same color red, same teased style, other than that she looks very pretty and natural. Dr. Drew asks Jenelle how Jace is. She answers, "Ummmm… who? Oh yeah… ummm… oh he hasn't been paying rent so yeah!"
Chelsea's eyelashes are a travesty. Mind you, this is her profession… Lord help South Dakota.
