I have been eagerly waiting the Real Housewives of Atlanta season finale for what feels like forever. I want to see the “finished” version of Chateau Sheree and I am excited to see Kenya Moore and Kim Zolciak going at it. Sure, I love the drama, but I can’t help being confused about why there’s animosity between the two of them.
Kenya joined the show during the same season when Kim refrained from most group activities because of her pregnancy before quitting in the middle of it. They had basically no interaction from what I’ve seen. So what is the source of tension there?
I wouldn’t say I was “excited” for the return of Real Housewives of Potomac, but I’m being optimistic and hoping the show finds its groove during its second season. The trailer looked explosive so I have hope. The first episode was alright, but I am so here for the beef between Gizelle Bryant and Charrisse Jackson-Jordan.
Last season was ful of unnecessary etiquette rules and tepid attempts at sass, but this feud is giving me hope for an interesting Season 2. I hate saying that since I assume Gizelle and Robyn were both hurt by the jabs back and forth, but on the bright side, they both have their opportunity to make their mark in the Real Housewives franchise. Most fans haven’t really accepted the Potomac or the Dallas installments as a part of the franchise because they haven’t done anything remotely iconic, but maybe this beef can legitimize Real Housewives of Potomac.
Let’s be honest – the only thing any of us remember from last night’s Real Housewives Of Atlanta is that Apollo Nida‘s prison fiancé Sherien Almufti appeared at the opening of the OLG Restaurant – and she’s everything a villainess side-chick should be. The worst (or maybe best) is that Phaedra Parks conveniently wasn’t even there to see her!
But first all the drama that came before.Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker – two control-freaks don’t make a restaurant! The OLG Restaurant is weeks away from officially opening and $100,000 over-budget, but Todd will not accept any help. He is the little man that could … and with his big forehead he thinks he can sneak traffic cone orange chairs right under Kandi’s nose. She is not impressed by his Todd: Party Of One attitude.
Case in point, Todd refuses to allow Don Juan or Carmon to help make decisions, even though there are no uniforms and the logo hasn’t been finalized with less than 24 hours before their soft opening for friends, family and television cameras. And don’t even get Kandi started on how the floor is so dusty it looks like it belongs inside Chateau Sheree!
The demise of Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks’s friendship is way more drastic than any of the romantic breakups I’ve seen in the Real Housewives franchise. These two went from being genuine besties to all out enemies with no boundaries when it comes to revealing private information or exacting revenge. So at this point, I’m not shocked that Phaedra met with Kandi’s former employee about a lawsuit against her.
Sure, Phaedra did turn over the case to another attorney, but she did film with the dude multiple times. It just seemed like filming those scenes was the reality TV version of posting a subtweet – the whole thing seemed so calculated and beyond passive aggressive. So obviously Kandi had a lot to say after watching the episode back.
Personally, I thought Kairo had a good edit. He delivered on the runway and he seemed to be very cooperative, but Sheree still feels like she needs to set the record straight when it comes to her son’s tardiness.
It seems like there is a Kandi Burruss-centered story line in every episode of this Real Housewives of Atlanta season. She has been on the show since season two, but this is the first one where Kandi is really taking a lot of heat. It started with the demise of her friendship with Phaedra Parks and it has continued with Porsha Williams accusing her of attempted drugging and having a sex dungeon. Now Phaedra is involved in a lawsuit against Kandi and she did not see it coming… until she watched the latest episodes.
After conquering LA with her Cargo collection, Cynthia is ready to take on Atlanta – America’s fashion mecca. Let’s be honest though, the real person Cynthia needs to impress is Sheree Whitfield. THE elegant and sophisticated fashion pioneer behind the infamous and influential She By Sheree. Big leagues!
Kairo has modeling dreams so as a favor to build his portfolio Cynthia asked him to walk in her show. Kairo dead-eye shuffles like he’s auditioning for The Walking Dead and is carrying his former human life in that mock-croc backpack. Sheree is the only one impressed, and she’s the only one unimpressed that Kairo’s only compensation is a measly bag. Even though most of the models aren’t even getting that.
