With the premiere of the Real Housewives of Atlanta: Kandi's Wedding, earlier this week, we got a front row seat for the planning of Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker'sComing to America-themed wedding. And if you saw any of the last season with our girls from Atlanta, you knew that this spin-off was going to be drama-filled. At the end of the season Kandi's family had yet to approve of Todd — and that is putting it kindly — and Kandi had not started planning her wedding, despite wanting to have it in a couple of months.
Bravotv.com sat down Todd Tucker to get his take on meeting Kandi, his relationship with Mama Joyce and her sisters and Carmon, Kandi's best friend and personal assistant who quit over the wedding in the premiere episode.
Last week was the premiere of Kandi's Wedding, while we were all hopeful Mama Joyce had undergone a lobotomy, personality transplant and a change of heart, she did not have time to visit the wizard on her days off and was, alas, completely unchanged!
This week she continued her crusade against Todd Tucker, accusing his mother of being a "hoe" and his deceased father a "pimp". WhileKandi Burrusswas also dealing with that incident, her bridesmaid, best friend, and past Mama Joyce victim Carmon quit in the midst of planning the Coming To America themed wedding. Needless to say, it was a bad week!
In her Bravo blog, Kandi discusses Mama Joyce's mouth and behavior and where things stand with Carmon now.
Last night was the premiere of Kandi's Wedding. Unfortunately what is supposed to be a joyful occasion for the couple has been usurped by drama and negativity! Of course Mama Joyce is doing everything in her power to destroy Kandi Burruss' happiness; from telling Kandi she's fat, to accusing Todd Tucker's parents of being a retired pimp and ho. Seriously Mama Joyce said Todd's mother Sharon was a former "working girl" who had trained Todd to hustle for Kandi's money. And Todd's now deceased father was once her pimp! If I were Sharon I would be getting an attorney on the phone immediately! #LawsuitByBravo
Other than Mama Joyce, Kandi's BFF and bridesmaid Carmon has been shoved into the role of impromptu wedding planner. Kandi tells her team (which includes manager Don Juan) that she wants to plan her entire Coming To America themed wedding in 5 weeks – and to save money (since Kandi is a girl who loves a deal!) she's decided to skip the high-priced wedding planners and rely on her assistant/bridesmaid Carmon and another employee, her event coordinator Johnny who has done a few simple weddings in the past. Oh lord – this spells trouble in both Zamundan and English!
Here's hoping Andy Cohen has some very deep pockets, because the Real Housewives of Atlanta are hoping to milk their huge popularity for all it's worth! After an explosive reunion, there has been much speculation as to whether Queen B (as in "bloop!") NeNe Leakes will grace the network with her presence. Rumors have also been swirling as to the fates of Porsha Williams and Kenya Moore after their crazy brawl.
Our favorite reality TV stars cannot get enough of the spotlight during their regularly scheduled time slots, so they take to social media to share even more of their daily lives with us. And we love them for it! Here's a roundup of some of our favorite Instagram and Twitter pictures from this week! Enjoy!

Todd Tucker has always had his reservations about reality TV but he's never had reservations about his now-wife Kandi Burruss!
Todd kept his composure in difficult situations behind the scenes on Real Housewives of Atlanta and in a twist of fate, in front of the camera this season! And none has been more trying than dealing with the formidable Mama Joyce! Despite all the drama leading up to his wedding, Todd could not be more in love with Kandi although he admits filming the whole thing for reality TV was trying.
The phrase "save the drama for your mama" is about to take on an entirely new meeting, and it looks like Atlanta is about to gain yet another hip-hop centric reality show. Congratulations, Peach State! Who among us hasn't gasped at Kandi Burruss' mother's sharp tongue or laughed at how angry Rasheeda's mom makes Kirk Frost when she kisses his baby on the mouth or, say, runs over his motorcycle after he cheated on her daughter in a threesome?
While it's been in the rumor mill for some time, it appears that several mothers of hip hop royalty will be getting their own show. In the words of Jim Jones' amazingly crazy mother Nancy, it's sure to be "physiochotic." Too bad there aren't any rumors that she'll be joining the cast!
