Kate Gosselin Interview

Two weeks after TLC cancelled her reality show Kate Plus 8, Kate Gosselin is finally admitting what has been widely reported, which is that she is indeed petrified about her future and being able to take care of her family.

Despite having a nursing degree, the mother of eight graces the latest cover of PEOPLE magazine with the heading “Will Her Kids Be Ok?” Under that heading is a quote from Kate saying she is “really scared” about her future. Poor Kate, the horror of having to get a real J.O.B. to care for her kids!

In the interview with the mag, Kate reveals she wasn’t “ready” when TLC pulled the plug on her show. She also reveals she cries in bed when no one’s looking. Yes she went there.

“When [Collin] learned of the show’s cancellation he said ‘I feel like crying but I can’t,’” Kate says. “I said, ‘Because you don’t want anyone to see your tears?’ and he said yes. So I said ‘Cry when you’re in bed and nobody’s looking. That’s what I do.”

Kate goes on to admit the transition from a reality TV mom to a regular mom, you know, like other millions of mothers out there, isn’t going to be an easy one.

“I’m freaking out. Big time,” she tells PEOPLE, adding that her plus 8 “weren’t ready,” to leave the show, which has been airing since 2005. She continues, “Nobody was. I’ve never quit a job in my life without having something else lined up. I don’t know what’s next.”

But fret not as Kate, 36, vows to work hard in other to maintain the lifestyle she’s provided for her kids. “I told them I will work my fingers to the bone to make sure that they can stay here and go to their school,” she says. “There are no guarantees in life for anyone, but they know that I’m giving it my best shot.”

“I don’t want to take anything away that [the kids] have been given,” Kate says. “[I've saved] for a little while. People think we made gazillions of dollars, and we didn’t. After the show was canceled, I said, ‘I’ll go back to my old nursing job.’ If nothing comes up, I’ll do it. But the scary reality is, 12-hour nursing shifts every day wouldn’t let me continue to provide well for me eight kids.”

It was reported days ago that Kate, who tweeted a petition to save her TLC show to her fans, has been offered a temporary co-hosting job at CBS’ talk show The Talk.

The Kate Plus 8 finale episode will air Sept. 12 on TLC.

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON KATE’S NEW INTERVIEW? DO YOU FEEL BAD FOR HER?

With the ratings for her TLC show Kate Plus 8 continuing to decline, it appears Kate Gosselin would like to change the public perception of herself, you know, the one that has her as a “money-hungry b*tch.”

In an interview with the HuffingtonPost, Kate surprisingly reveals she is aware of what the public perceives her as being. “The biggest misconception is that I’m a money-hungry b*tch,” says Kate, “My friends come and tell me. They can’t take it.” She has friends???

Kate goes on to add that her friends and family get more upset about the negative rumors than she does. Really, she has friends?. “I have to tell them just ignore it, don’t read it,” says Kate. “You know it’s not true. I am very driven, very type-A, very hard-working, very perfectionist.”

Kate adds, “Every single person with that personality is accused of being self-absorbed, snobby and horrible. A bad impression is given because you are so driven. My mind is on the finish line. It’s an attractive quality as far as men are concerned.” Sure it is Katie.

Kate then goes on to issue a challenge to her naysayers, which is pretty much the entire universe, when she states you should meet her before judging her.

“I really have to tell you I enjoy the challenge of meeting people personally and changing their opinion of me,” reveals Kate. “Because it happens 100 percent of the time.” Uh uh.

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON KATE’S COMMENTS? YOU BUYING WHAT SHE’S SELLING?

Kate Gosselin is making the press rounds today, giving new interviews to the Today Show and PEOPLE magazine. And no, she has nothing to promote.  She is simply wanting to set the record straight on some issues.

Issue #1 being that two of her kids were expelled from their private school in PA due to bad behavior.  Despite the report made by several media outlets, include the reputable PEOPLE magazine, Kate still denies her kids were expelled though she admits they “were having anger issues, acting out, having behavior things.”

“The school would never use that word,” Kate, 35, tells PEOPLE. “[Collin and Alexis] were not expelled. [The school] did not feel like they could meet their needs anymore, so it was decided they should leave, for now.” (Um isn’t that expulsion?)

Kate also tells PEOPLE the kids were acting out because they missed their dad Jon Gosselin. “They’ve been the ones to verbalize the most that they miss Daddy,” she says. “I could see that they’re the ones struggling the most.”

And it wouldn’t be a Kate Gosselin Today Show interview if she didn’t manage to take a shot at her ex-husband. When asked by host Meredith Vieira about a Tweet Jon sent last month, apologizing for his actions in 2009, Kate said she found his words to be insincere.

“I have never personally been apologized to,” she said showing frustration and adding that she doesn’t consider “an interview on TV or a tabloid” the appropriate venue to issue an apology.

While Kate claims to have forgiven Jon “for the sake of my kids,” she still wants us to know she is a victim.  “I am angry — I’m hurt and I’m angry,” she said of Jon’s past actions, adding she does not like to dwell on the past because she doesn’t “have time to waste being upset.”

When it comes to the status of her kids today, Kate tells PEOPLE Collin and Alexis are seeing a therapist and “doing much, much better.”  She adds, “I’ve kept the stability, the income – everything that they know and love – I’ve been the parent to come through on that.”

TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON KATE’S INTERVIEWS?

*HAPPY THANKSGIVING!*

In an all new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Kate Gosselin finally opens up about the news of her two kids being expelled from private school.

In Touch magazine was the first media outlet to break the news two weeks ago, reporting that two of the Gosselin kids – Alexis and Collin Gosselin – both age 6, were kicked out of school for “rage issues” and bullying other kids.

Now the Kate Plus 8 mom is denying her kids were expelled, instead claiming she elected to pull them out of school for home tutoring. “Two of my children are being tutored at home, with a teacher who is working closely with our kindergarten teachers in school, doing the identical curriculum,” Kate stated in the interview.

So why randomly pull two out of your eight children from school? “The pressure was getting to them,” she said. “You have the divorce anger mixed in with that. … The goal is to get them back into school as soon as possible.”

Right. PEOPLE magazine, which also reported the expulsion story, is however not retracting their story. In fact, they published another article yesterday following Kate’s interview, which reiterated the fact that the kids were indeed expelled from their private school.
