Jon Gosselin’s fifteen minutes of fame doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon. In his recent interview on ABC’s special Primetime: Family secrets, the father of eight, says estranged wife Kate, would only agree to therapy with Dr. Phil.
“I was very hesitant,” Jon says. “I was like, ‘What the heck is this?’”
According to Jon, the session with Dr. Phil was more about fixing the image of their hit TLC show rather than their broken marriage.
“We talked about the brand and corporate things and making the brand work,” he says. “I felt it was weird. I was like, ‘Why am I here? I could be snowboarding.’ It wasn’t helping.”
Dr. Phil released a statement to ABC News saying, “I respect the Gosselins’ privacy, I have no comment on their marriage.”
“I have a $22,000 therapy bill,” he says. “I mean, I tried to have marriage counseling. I did it myself. She refused to go.”
