If there’s one thing you can count on when it comes to a Kelly Kra-kra Bensimon interview, it is that she is guaranteed to leave you with an epic quote or two!
In a new interview with OK Magazine, the muscular and curve-less Real Housewives of New York City star encourages women to show off their curves, you know, like she does.
“I don’t want people to be skinny. I want them to be happy and healthy and smoking hot. If you have curves show them off, and if you don’t have curves work out so you can get them,” said Kelly.
Kelly, who graces the latest cover of Shape magazine, also feels she is an inspiration to all women out there. “I think it’s really exciting for a lot of people to see someone 43 on the cover of Shape, because it’s something that they can do,” Kelly told OK!. “It’s not like I’m über thin. It’s not like I’m not eating. I eat well. I exercise a lot and I promote healthy living.”
When asked who shot her very airbrushed/almost unrecognizable cover, Kelly credits her ex-husband Gilles Bensimon. “Everytime that I do a photoshoot I always choose him, because he loves me so much and wants me to be a better version of me, which is very, very cool,” she shared. “Also he loves beautiful women and I want to be as beautiful as I can for everyone else.” The jokes just write themselves.
In a separate interview with Good Day New York, Kelly makes it clear she would like to return for another season of the RHONY citing she had a great season this year. And why wouldn’t she? She had the whole Brunette gang treating her with kids gloves while pretending she wasn’t cra cra!
“I actually had a really good time with it this year,” she said. “I mean, this was my opportunity to really, really show who I am and not be in a combative situation. It was two seasons of just constantly being berated all the time.”
We should be finding out any day now if Kelly will indeed be returning to RHONY for a new season. I personally can’t imagine Bravo would invite her back.

TELL US – DO YOU WANT KELLY’S “CURVY” BODY? SURPRISED SHE WANTS TO RETURN FOR ANOTHER SEASON?
The 43-year-old mother of 2 posed for Playboy back in March of last year, and according to Kelly, her reasons for posing include teaching her daughters and others about a good body image, while also getting sweet revenge on her mean costars.
“I showed like 80 percent. A little boobie, a little butt, ankles,” Kelly told Popeater. “The pictures actually make me look thinner than I was at the time. I really ate a lot. I wanted to be my normal body shape. I wanted to look like myself. Everyone else was on a diet and I was like, ‘No! I want to be myself.'”
Kelly then goes on to add that she also posed to teach her two young daughters, Sea Louis, 12, and Thaddeus Ann, 10, about a healthy body image plus to “be sexy and have fun” later on in their lives. “I think some people were wondering … I have two kids, isn’t that bad? But I think no; I want my kids to be happy and healthy and later on in their lives, be sexy and have fun. I don’t want them to think that having an eating disorder is cool, because it’s not!”
Reason #3? To exact revenge on her costars includingBethenny Frankelwhom she believes bullied her on the RHONY. “I think the ladies were shocked by it,” revealed Kelly. “I think they thought, ‘We tried to take you down and now you are doing Playboy, what?! And now I have Playboy so they are like, ‘Wait a minute. This is not working!'”
Ah, nice to have the old cra-cra Kelly back.

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON KELLY’S REASONS FOR POSING FOR PLAYBOY?
“It’s not as sexy as it appears,” says Kelly, who divorced famed photographer Gilles Bensimon in 2007. “If you want to date me it’s like dating a 16-year-old because I have to be home by the time the nanny comes home.”
When it comes to her type, Kelly reveals she is open to dating all types of men and not just high profile ones. “I’m not really into going out with high-profile people. I want a life for my kids,” she says. Good luck with that Kelly.
The Hollyscoop blog reports today that sources close to Bethenny say “she’s been asked to return for the new season and negotiations are ongoing.”
The site also confirms that all of Bethenny’s co-stars including the crazy controversial Kelly Bensimon have been asked back. Bethenny is currently filming a second season of her hit show – Bethenny Getting Married.
In other news, the always entertaining Kelly Bensimon continues to do interviews. Why exactly? We’re not sure, but the interviews continue to be entertaining.
In her latest incoherent ramblinginterview with Fancast, Kelly defends her fellow crazy NJ Housewife Danielle Staub and rambles about some other things. The best part of the interview might be Kelly claiming her imaginary friends tell her she’s the sanest one on the show.
Excerpts from Kelly’s interview below -
Do you care how other people perceive you?
No. Why should I?
So if someone calls you crazy, do you just dismiss it?
Yes. It doesn’t faze me in the least. After [the Virgin Islands episode], people were like, ‘Wow. That was really hard to watch.’ And I said, ‘Why? That’s television. What’s so hard about watching that? Because I was crying and saying leave me alone and stop berating me and attacking me?’ In normal situations, you would excuse yourself from the drama. But in normal circumstances, I wouldn’t have even been there in the first place. I would never choose to put myself in that kind of environment. I would never go on vacation with people that I wasn’t friends with or didn’t trust.
What did your close friends say when they saw that episode?
They said ‘good for you.’ And they’re glad I stuck up for myself and let the other girls know it’s inappropriate behavior. My friends were laughing all over the place. They know its white noise. It’s non-coherent subject matter. It doesn’t make sense at all. Everyone’s like, ‘Kelly, you’re the only sane person on the show.’ My friends think I’m doing a great job.
What do you think of Danielle?
If Danielle gets her own spinoff, I think that’d be amazing for her. She makes for great TV. She’s out of the box and has no inhibitions. It’s not my place to say whether someone has issues or not. I will say she has a lot of fun with what she’s doing. I don’t know what her real life is like, but I honestly don’t think that she’s well matched against the rest of that cast for that show. Still, she definitely is fun to watch. I love seeing her. She has no limitations and that’s great.
Also wanted to add that there will be no photo post today. Thinking the photo posts should be kept to once a week on Saturdays, but would like to get your input. Please take the poll below when you can. Thanks!
She’s baaaack! When most people suffer a mental breakdown on national television, they go away for a while, getting help, meds and all that good stuff, but not our Kelly Bensimon!
The Real Housewives of NYCstar, pictured above attending an event this weekend, is simply relentless and simply doesn’t know how to stop herself! She continues to prove her insanity by giving multiple crazyinterviews, making crazy twitter ramblings, taking crazyphotos, and dishing out crazydiet tips!
In her latest interview with Out.com, Kelly discusses her time on the housewives, her new passion for safe sex education(guess she’s over the whole anti-bullying campaign), and other crazy topics. While the interview is really long, the good folks at Jezebel were able to sum up the best 10 Inane Kelly quotes from the interview. A few of those are below -
1.) “I was at Mohegan Sun for the opening of their Mohegan Sun Days event, it’s their [monthly] GL — GLBT night. I always think that sounds like BLT.”
2.) “So then speaking with GMHC about safe sex and also just about bullying, I learned so much about how alternative lifestyles get bullied so much and I was really disturbed by that to be honest with you because I have been a model for a long time and I have had so much respect for people that have alternative lifestyles.”
3.) “Why do we have to be all flowers and lollipops. Why can’t it be like fighting but we are actually learning. That’s called back-door education.”
4.) “The one reason I would like to do my own show is because I am exposed to so many unbelievable people and so I would use my show as a vehicle to explore all these different people that I know, whether it would be Richard Meier to the man that helps me with my computers.”
5.) “[T]hey asked me to be on the show because they wanted me to legitimize the brand and they wanted a real socialite. They wanted a real New Yorker, if you will, on the show. And it was a great opportunity for me because it’s obviously got everything that I love, whether it’s my safe sex initiative or anti-bullying or working on my jewelry line or just having my books…”
6.) “[E]verybody knows my name so that’s a huge honor and I am really grateful to Bravo for exposing me and exploiting my name like that.”
A blogger’s dream indeed. While Kelly’s actions on the show left a lot of doubt about her mental health, her actions off the show have left little doubt for most fans of the show.
When asked what she plans to do next by Out, Kelly gave the following answer: “I am in the process of working on a really, really new project that is confidential and I can’t tell you about, but its going to be very, very exciting. It’s coming out in a couple of weeks and it’s a really big deal for me.”
And then seconds minutes later, Kelly revealed the top secret confidential project to Out (you know cause if she wants to change her mind about something, it’s totally cool): “I only want one thing. I want live stream. So every time I walk into the office, I want to be live. They’re like, “What are you talking about?” I said every time I walk into to the office I wanted to be live — on me in every single meeting. How do I work, how do I do things, how do I get things done?”
Just what the world needs, a live stream on a mentally unstable being. From reading Kelly’s interview, it’s pretty obvious she believes she is sane, and does not see or understand how the rest of the world views her. It seems Kelly has a major addiction to fame as well, and continues to put herself in the public eye in a continuously failing attempt to prove she is not crazy. She came back for a second season of the Real Housewives of NYC to repair her reputation, she posts several inane messages on twitter each day to prove her sanity, and she is now willing to put her life on live stream to prove she is not crazy, while feeding her fame addiction at the same time of course.
Unfortunately for Kelly, her latest attempt to do a Truman like show by streaming her daily life to the world only shows why she continues to be a danger to herself and hopefully not her kids as well. The results of her latest attempt to prove her sanity will be the same as her previous attempts. Perhaps its time for Kelly to finally realize she indeed has a problem, and focus on getting help instead of spending so much time trying to prove her non existence sanity to the world. And where are her loved ones? Why are they not intervening and helping this woman, similar to what Britney Spears’ family did?
TELL US – WOULD YOU WATCH A LIVE STREAM SHOW FEATURING KELLY BENSIMON?
A blogger’s dream, Kelly Bensimon, is back in the headlines once again. This time around the Real Housewives of New York City star attempts to defend herself against those pesky crazy ‘rumors’ in the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine.
And nothing says I’m not crazy like the above photo. We’re guessing the theme of the photo was meant to be fighting back, but all we see is a crazy lady with boxing gloves.
“I am not crazy. I am unpredictable,” declares Kelly, adding, “I’m not in therapy.” Interesting words coming from the 42-year-old mother of two who accused her co-stars of being “dangerous” and “unpredictable” during the reunion show. And in next month’s Glamour magazine, Kelly will declare, ‘I’m not crazy guys! Just a little dangerous.”
Things get even better as Bravo VP Andy Cohen also spoke to the magazine. “I think it was deeply disturbing. It seemed like she had a break of some kind, but I can’t say exactly what it was,” said Andy of the infamous St. John breakdown. Could Andy’s comments be a hint regarding Kelly’s unlikely return for another season? Perhaps.
And when it comes to her co-stars, Kelly has convinced herself is convinced they are jealous of her: “Whether it’s my nail color, my hair color, or the shoes I’m wearing, everything about me bothers them…They want to go to the parties I go to, they want to hang out with me, they want to do the things that I’m doing.” Her co-stars are about as jealous of her the same way Taylor Swift is jealous of Lindsay Lohan.
So how does Kelly explain her behavior to her two young girls? “I tell my girls, ‘Your mom gets paid to engage in inappropriate behavior.’ It’s an amazing opportunity for them to see that being mean is not okay. I tell them, ‘If you’re in a situation like this, walk out. Don’t come back with jelly beans.'” So in Kelly lala land, it’s okay for adults to engage in inappropriate behavior as long as they are getting paid?
And folks, you simply cannot make this up. The best writers in Hollywood couldn’t make this up. The August issue of Harper’s Bazaar hits newsstands July 20.
Days after Kelly Bensimon’snow infamous meltdown on the Real Housewives of New York City, the 42-year-old former model continues to be a hot topic.
Kelly was even in the top 10 searches on the web for a few days, leading the nutty reality to tweet, “OMG!!!!!!! I am on Yahoo top 5 list for search. KKB #5 on yahoo topic of the day! Wow.” It seems someone forgot to inform Kelly about 99.99% of those searches were proceeded by the words “crazy,” “mentally ill,” and “breakdown.”
Moving right along to Kelly’s new interview with NYMag, during which Kelly declares she suffered a “breakthrough” and not a “breakdown.” Wonder what TV show she watched Thursday night.
“Some people are like, ‘You had a breakdown,’ and I’m like, no, I had a breakthrough,” said Kelly of her hysterics on the yacht in St. John’s. Kelly goes on to claim that her rival housewives are “not happy I’m on the show, they’re just not…I’m very sensitive, and if someone says something very rude to me over and over again, I’m human. Shoot me.”
“I’m completely honest, I have a ton of integrity,” Kelly continued. “The minute I walk into the room, I create…this stagnant frenetic energy.” Umm okay, and despite the whole world thinking she is nuts, Kelly manages to find the positive in that. “Let’s be honest,” she added of her outbursts, “It makes for awesome TV…if they’re not hating on you, you’re not doing something right.”
While Kelly continues to make great TV as the expense of her reputation, one person who is quickly distancing herself from her is none other than CuntessLuAnn De Leseeps. Here’s what LuAnn had to say about Kelly in her new bravo blog -
“I encouraged Kelly to pass on this trip because I knew that she couldn’t defend herself. I’m still baffled by how antagonistic she was at the dinner party. I think that Kelly may have had other issues going on at home that pushed her over the emotional edge. Kelly’s lack of empathy makes it hard for her to be a good girlfriend. After watching this episode, I can honestly say, I’m glad I stayed home! I don’t think anyone could have helped Kelly in this situation.”
And for anyone who’s still giving Kelly the benefit of the doubt, her behavior off the show continues to paint her in an even crazier light. Kelly continues to accuse the other ladies of bullying her, despite the fact that she was the one who continued to attack the ladies on vacation. And victim Kelly even took to twitter to try to start an anti-bullying rally –
“thst’s it for #realhousewives bullying is not ok conversation. tune in tomorrow.”
Kelly has also been asking her “fans” on twitter to help her with the upcoming reunion show, scheduled to be filmed on May 26th. Apparently Kelly needs some help in defending herself against all the big bad bullies on the show. She tweeted –
“we need a reunion plan. if you dont want these women to win, give me advice.i will use it verbatim and name u on the show. tell your friends.”
“i dont want to win, i jut want to get out unscathed. i am too real and nice for these women.”
And finally, last week’s episode of the Real Housewives of NYC was the highest rated ever in Bravo history for the franchise. Guess it pays to be crazy after all. But still, here’s to hoping Kelly gets the help she needs.
Despite their on-air catfights and the constant taking swipes at each other in the media, The Real Housewives of New York‘s Kelly Bensimon is now saying she has no bad feelings towards Bethenny Frankel.
“Honestly, I don’t hate her,” she told Usmagazine on Wednesday. “I actually really respect her. It’s not easy trying to start a business and be single in New York.” These days, “we can be cordial,” says Kelly. “I’m not going to go out of my way to, like, be a bitch.”
And as for their now infamous bar fight on the show, Bensimon says she “needed to clear the air.”
Kelly of course couldn’t resist taking one last swipe at Bethenny saying, “I think a lot of people are scared of her, and well, I’m not scared of her. And I refuse to put up with her s–t.”
Anyone else weirded out by Kelly running in traffic on this week’s episode? Is that a New York thing?
