Bethenny and Jason welcomed their daughter Bryn on May 8, just in time for Mother’s Day. The baby weighed in at 4 lbs, 12 ounces. Her new show, Bethenny’s Getting Married? is set to debut in June on Bravo.
In other NYC Housewives news, a commenter posted yesterday that Jill Zarin and Kelly Bensimonappeared on LXTV show yesterday, during which both ladies accused their other co-stars of being bullies and bullying Kelly. Apparently they both decided to spin last week’s episode into a “cautionary tale about bullying.” While I haven’t seen the appearance, Kelly did post on her twitter that she would be appearing on the show yesterday.
Kelly has also posted on her twitter that she was bullied by the other ladies and that she would use this opportunity to talk to her two daughters about bullying. Nice to see Kelly is still thinking and acting like a insane person.

Days after Kelly Bensimon’snow infamous meltdown on the Real Housewives of New York City, the 42-year-old former model continues to be a hot topic.
Kelly was even in the top 10 searches on the web for a few days, leading the nutty reality to tweet, “OMG!!!!!!! I am on Yahoo top 5 list for search. KKB #5 on yahoo topic of the day! Wow.” It seems someone forgot to inform Kelly about 99.99% of those searches were proceeded by the words “crazy,” “mentally ill,” and “breakdown.”
Moving right along to Kelly’s new interview with NYMag, during which Kelly declares she suffered a “breakthrough” and not a “breakdown.” Wonder what TV show she watched Thursday night.
“Some people are like, ‘You had a breakdown,’ and I’m like, no, I had a breakthrough,” said Kelly of her hysterics on the yacht in St. John’s. Kelly goes on to claim that her rival housewives are “not happy I’m on the show, they’re just not…I’m very sensitive, and if someone says something very rude to me over and over again, I’m human. Shoot me.”
“I’m completely honest, I have a ton of integrity,” Kelly continued. “The minute I walk into the room, I create…this stagnant frenetic energy.” Umm okay, and despite the whole world thinking she is nuts, Kelly manages to find the positive in that. “Let’s be honest,” she added of her outbursts, “It makes for awesome TV…if they’re not hating on you, you’re not doing something right.”
While Kelly continues to make great TV as the expense of her reputation, one person who is quickly distancing herself from her is none other than CuntessLuAnn De Leseeps. Here’s what LuAnn had to say about Kelly in her new bravo blog -
“I encouraged Kelly to pass on this trip because I knew that she couldn’t defend herself. I’m still baffled by how antagonistic she was at the dinner party. I think that Kelly may have had other issues going on at home that pushed her over the emotional edge. Kelly’s lack of empathy makes it hard for her to be a good girlfriend. After watching this episode, I can honestly say, I’m glad I stayed home! I don’t think anyone could have helped Kelly in this situation.”
And for anyone who’s still giving Kelly the benefit of the doubt, her behavior off the show continues to paint her in an even crazier light. Kelly continues to accuse the other ladies of bullying her, despite the fact that she was the one who continued to attack the ladies on vacation. And victim Kelly even took to twitter to try to start an anti-bullying rally –
“thst’s it for #realhousewives bullying is not ok conversation. tune in tomorrow.”
Kelly has also been asking her “fans” on twitter to help her with the upcoming reunion show, scheduled to be filmed on May 26th. Apparently Kelly needs some help in defending herself against all the big bad bullies on the show. She tweeted –
“we need a reunion plan. if you dont want these women to win, give me advice.i will use it verbatim and name u on the show. tell your friends.”
“i dont want to win, i jut want to get out unscathed. i am too real and nice for these women.”
And finally, last week’s episode of the Real Housewives of NYC was the highest rated ever in Bravo history for the franchise. Guess it pays to be crazy after all. But still, here’s to hoping Kelly gets the help she needs.
“The four of us are actually sane and she’s crazy, and now we’re picking on her.” – Sonja Morgan
“Best episode ever & worst episode too in a way.” – Simon Van Kempen.
Those are two powerful quotes. Last night’s episode of the Real Housewives of New York City was absolutely the best and the worst. The Hills is not real, Spencer Pratt’s alleged meltdown on the Hills is not real. What you watched on the Real Housewives of NYC last night was real, very real. Too real perhaps.
What I and other millions of viewers watched was a complete and total mental breakdown from what I will assume is a very mentally ill person. I don’t even know how to proceed with this recap. Last week’s episode was more of a Kelly Bensimon is coo coo crazy kinda thing, but somewhere along last night’s episode, Kelly being crazy took a dark turn into Kelly being mentally ill, and something about that is quite troubling.
And what’s worse than the madness we all just watched on television? Well according to Bethenny, Ramona and Alex. What was shown on TV was actually very tame in comparison to what actually took place that night. “Truth be told, what aired was very tame compared to what actually happened. I think that to air the full scope of it would terrify the viewers. We were truly terrified ourselves,” blogged Bethenny. Must say I can’t imagine kelly possibly being worse than what we just watched.
So why don’t I have any sympathy for Kelly, someone who I believe might be mentally ill, something not of her doing? Well I’m not quite sure. For one, I can’t relate to this woman in any way, shape, or form. She acts like a robot and seems to have the IQ of an 8 year old. I can’t relate and comprehend to the the way she acts or the moronic things she says. And reason number #2 why I can’t seem to muster up any sympathy is because she continued to be the aggressor and attacker in last night’s episode. She also seems to have no remorse for her insane behavior and continues to blame others. She blames Bethenny and Bravo for how she came across. She also continues to attack Bethenny, even accusing her of exploiting her father’s death for ratings. It’s funny that Kelly says she is scared of Bethenny, when in reality Bethenny should be the scared party. Kelly seems to have an unhealthy obsession with Bethenny and I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that Kelly holds Bethenny responsible for 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, her divorce, etc
Going into this vacation from hell, one would think the women would pick on Kelly and treat her badly. The irony turned out to be that these women, who are usually drama prone, seemed to genuinely want a drama free vacation, despite Kelly’s constant attempts to bring the drama. Kelly was the one who picked on the women from the get go, and made certain to attack every single one of them. The women at every single attempt tried to calm her down, be nice to her, and tried to have a good time. But Kelly would not stop, and was very combative and defensive.
Some things to point out in this episode, Kelly, while on the phone with Jill, said Bethenny’s gift bag to her was impersonal. And in case you’re wondering, this is the same gift bag with her initials on it. Evidently the lunatic in Kelly can’t grasp that this was an attempt by Bethenny to make amends. Kelly, who has breast implants, bad wonky ones at that, then goes on to make fun of Bethenny’s “Fake D tits,” thus giving us our first pot meet kettle moment.
And then it’s breakfast time and Kelly decides to bring a complaints pad to the ladies telling them to write down their complaints like they do in the fourth grade. Huh what? Kelly has offered to take photos of the ladies, but Bethenny decides to skip out on the crazy show. During the photo shoot, Kelly creepily tells Alex to channel her son Johan while trying to take sexy bikini pictures.
Moving on to the dinner from hell. Kelly who is already channeling a nut with her uncombed hair, decides to talk on her cell phone during dinner in front of the ladies, which rubs Ramona the wrong way. Once again, the ladies attempt to make nice with Kelly, who continues to take jabs and once again make mention of Bethenny being or not being a chef. Kelly then mentions in her interview that Bethenny is always on defense and is psychotic. And thanks to the psych class I took sophomore year in college, I can confidently proclaim this is what is known as “Projection.”
First things first, how amazing is the above photo of Kelly Bensimon? It’s like she’s saying lock me up and take me away to the nut house! Just kidding, but what’s really sad is that the phrase”Kelly Bensimon Crazy” was one of the biggest searches on the web this past week.
So how does Kelly feel about being labeled “crazy?” Well Kelly had the following to say to E! News, “Enjoy it,” she said with a manic laugh. “Have fun with it because that’s going to make my name bigger and bigger and give me a bigger platform to be charitable.” Yes because in Kelly lala cartwheel land, being labeled as crazy is a good thing and will help her become more charitable. Got it.
Moving on to tonight’s episode. We get to see the tension between Bethenny and Kelly reach an all-time high, as the two hash it out over a no-holds-barred dinner! Kelly calls Jill to confide about her fight with Bethenny. Jill, who is itching to patch things up with her once-BFF Bethenny, informs her underdog LuAnn of her plans to fly down and “surprise” the group. LuAnn, who ofcourse wants to keep Jill all to herself tries to convince her not to go. Will Jill take LuAnn’s advice and stay put? We’ll find tonight.
A video preview is below. Bethenny tries to make amends with Kelly by giving her a gift bag with her name on it. Nutty Kelly freaks out and thinks Bethenny is trying to “kill” her. Watch the madness below -
Apparently the nutty Real Housewives of New York City star is tired of the negative comments by the haters. “I will be deleting this page by the end of the week,” Kelly wrote on her personal facebook account last night. “So for those who wish to stay a fan please go to my fanpage .And for those who choose not to…all the best. Please don’t follow me on Twitter and Facebook, it’s not good for you to waste time, with people you dislike…and end up getting blocked or deleted from my web team.”
Well that was then and this now, as it seems Kelly’s other personality had a change of heart. She posted early this morning that she would be keeping her facebook page after all.
“We will NOT be deleting this account, but will be adding a new page in addition to the fan page. write what you want, and say what you feel. I am flattered by lovers and haters, but indifference makes me sad. enjoy the day.”

Millions of viewers saw Kelly Bensimon, star of the Real Housewives of New York City officially lose her mind during Thursday night’s episode, and for a minute, it seemed Kelly realized she came across as crazy as she claimed to be “embarrased” by her behavior in her bravo blog.
Fast forward to a few hours later and it seems her other personality felt differently, as she took to her twitter to post some rather insane rants, even blaming Bethenny and editing for how she came across Thursday night. The lowlight of her rants came when she accused Bethenny of exploiting her father’s death for ratings.
“Anyone that blames me, needs to look at themselves. Would u ever exploit a family member’s death for ratings? Think twice, then tweet.”
The above was posted on Kelly’s twitter Friday along with some other crazy rants to fans of the show.
“now i know how nancy kerrigan felt. that’s insight into the “SCAREY ISLAND” you have no clue what really went down.”
“For all the haters, I feel sorry for you, It must be hard. projection is a form of deflection. Do somethin nice for someone else.”
“Haters I cannot comment on “storylines”. Keep it real, for me. Bad acting does not equal real. Ugh.”
“she[Bethenny] hates me for i wont play her game. i like pioneers/mavericks who empower and explore.”
“I am emabarrassed that all of you #rhnyc fans are being so rude. Watch snl lawrence welk and laugh a little. You guys need it.”
“i am not judging i am drawing attention to lies. it is creepy to exploit the death in a family on tv. full stop, vile.”
“lets make”CREEPY” teeshirts. everyone knows someone who does something creepy. lets make them and sell them for charity. do it.”
There are some more rants about how everybody on the show is acting and she being the only authentic one on the show. She then goes on to say that she thought these ladies were her real friends. But Kelly, if everyone on the show is acting out scenes, then why would you consider them your real friends?
So to summarize Kelly’s behavior, she’s irrational, delusional, paranoid, and has crazy mood swings. Roid rage? Perhaps any mental health specialist reading this can help make a diagnosis because her recent behavior is quite puzzling. And let’s not forget she plead no contest last year to physically assaulting her ex-boyfriend, Nicholas Stefanov. She gave him a black eye and sliced his cheek during an arguement. She received community service.
Here’s to hoping Kelly gets help, and steps away from twitter and all tv cameras.
TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON KELLY’S TWITTER RANTS?
Being on a reality show like the Real Housewives of New York City is a pretty tough task and not for everyone. In my opinion, there are three main criteria in which one should absolutely not take part in anything “reality tv.” A – If you’re insane, B – If you’re crazy, and C – If you’re emotionally unstable. And when you happen to fall under all of the above, then you should absolutely under any circumstances not put your life on television. Unfortunately for Kelly Bensimon, the damage has been done. More on Kelly later.
Now onto to the recap in what is absolutely without a doubt the best episode EVER from the Bravo housewives franchise.
LuAnn – Fortunately for LuAnn, this had to be the episode where Kelly went bat sh*t crazy, thus taking most of the attention way from her tragic singing. And how much did she pay this producer to literally just lie to her over and over and over? After the whole Kim Zolciak singing debacle, I cannot grasp why someone who can’t hold a note would want to humiliate themselves on national television. It’s quite baffling to me. And while the end result of her song sounds decent, I can’t help but feel she is about two decades behind in her music. Perhaps she could have had a big hit in the early 90s.
Now onto the trip. We get to see Ramona and Sonja leave for the bachelorette trip to St John. While in the car, Ramona mentions that she is not surprised Jill decided to skip the trip because the trip is “not about her,” and when it’s not about Jill, she doesn’t like to participate. And of course since Jill isn’t going, her lapdog/underdog LuAnn won’t make it either.
The ladies finally all land in St. John and we find out Bethenny has just buried her father and is a bit raw emotionally. Almost immediately Kelly begins to unravel. Buckle up for the ride folks cause it’s a whole lot of crazy coming up!
The ladies are riding in a car on the way to their yacht and Kelly mentions she doesn’t eat pretzels because she does not eat processed foods. Okay makes sense, that is until she mentions her love for gummi worms, okay no longer making sense. Ramona asks her if she’s six, and Bethenny comments in her interview that “Gummi bears don’t come from the vine, those aren’t bears you see in the Bronx zoo.” In her interview, Alex also feels the NEED to mention that this is the first time she’s taken a non business trip without her kids since she became a mother. Thanks for sharing Alex, I’m a better person for knowing that lil tidbit.
Right away, you start to see the tension between Bethenny and Kelly, I would say most of it coming from Kelly, who seemed to have a bone to pick with Bethenny. Bethenny on this trip seemed more quiet and subdued, for Bethenny standards at least, so it was interesting to see Kelly keep escalating the tension. I would say Kelly was the “aggressor” this go around.
The ladies put on their bikinis and it’s time to eat. Not Crazy – Kelly shares she doesn’t like to eat in a bikini, and then goes on to get a cover up. Crazy – Kelly completely losing it once the ladies started talking about Jill. While it’s understandable that Kelly does not want to talk about Jill behind her back, she should have voiced that and then kept quiet. Trying to control what the ladies felt and said about Jill made no sense. Kelly reveals that she’s “normal” and the rest are “abnormal.” Bethenny tries to explain some things to her, during which Kelly declares that she doesn’t care. Fair enough, to which Bethenny tells her she shouldn’t comment if she doesn’t care. Good advice considering Sonja was just as well sitting there, keeping quiet because she didn’t want to join in on the Jill convo. Kelly then makes her 2nd moronic comment of the night, when she accused the ladies of making “lemons out of lemonades.” Uh what Kelly? Bethenny explains to her that what she meant to say was “making a mountain out of a mole hill” as lemons out of lemonades means making something good out of something bad, which wouldn’t apply to the conversation being had at the moment.
Okay seriously, is this woman a complete and total moron? It’s quite baffling to me that someone her age could be this idiotic. Especially someone who claims to hold an English degree from the prestigious Columbia University. And by the way, it was revealed last year that she didn’t actually go to Columbia, but instead took classes at Columbia Extension College, something anyone can do. Bethenny said it best later on in this episode when she said Kelly is the most “unintelligent human being” she’s ever had the pleasure of being around. Couldn’t agree more. I’m pretty certain I’m losing brain cells just listening to her. I can’t even call her a bimbo. Her IQ would need to be about 100 points higher to be on bimbo status. She’s simply a moron.
Back to the recap. Kelly then continues to yell, and tries to make a grand exit through a closed glass door. While leaving, she snaps, “You guys are sick, it’s like you’re demented, see ya!” Ramona laments that Kelly doesn’t like to “feel” and I think she might have a point. Moments later, Kelly returns from her self imposed “time-out.” It’s so interesting to see Kelly being so loyal to Jill considering just how badly Jill treated her last year, especially at the reunion show. Something tells me had the tables been turned, Jill would have bad mouthed Kelly along with the ladies in a heartbeat.
The theme of Thursday night’s episode of the Real Housewives of New York City seemed to be “Woe Is Me” by Jill Zarin. Not since Vicki Gunvalson of the OC Housewives have I seen someone play the victim role so effortlessly. The more I think about it, the more I see the similarities between Jill and Vicki. They both make everything about them, and they are always the victims.
We start out this episode with the charity event planned by Countess LuAnn. The point of the oxy-moronic event is to donate coutoure dresses to the homeless (scratching head on this one). Jill’s underdog feels the need to scold Alex, and try to guilt her into apologizing to her new BFF Jill. LuAnn makes an interesting comment saying Alex shouldn’t take sides. Interesting because it seems rather obvious LuAnn has picked a side. And then Jill arrives, and the underdog informs her she has told Alex she “has to fix” things with her or else!
Jill makes a point to not talk to Alex, after all, she did vow last week to forget but never forgive! Jill’s husband, Bobby, attempting to talk to Alex was sort of sweet, but unfortunately he didn’t know the whole story. It’s however understandable for a husband to want to smooth thiings over for his wife. As I was watching this episode, it dawned on me that the issue with Jill wasn’t so much Alex’s delivery but the actual message. It finally dawned on her now that Bethenny’s DONE with her, so she decided to kill the messenger – Alex. Yes Alex was wrong in her delivery, but Jill’s continued reaction is over the top.
And then Ramona decides to scold Alex for the “bad timing” of delivering her message. This coming from the woman who decided Jill’s Kodak event was the right time and place to inform her of the company’s shortcomings. Perhaps Ramona needs to crawl back into her glass house and shut her mouth.
