Of course we have to begin by rehashing the same regurgitated storyline about Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, and the cheating tabloids that never were. It's like Kyle forced Bravo to put in her contract that this matter must be discussed – at length – once per episode.
Lisa's hubby Ken Todd was in attendance, as was Tori Spelling's mom Candy, and even Real Housewives of Miami's Joanna Krupa. I'd give Joanna crap for trying to cozy up to Lisa in the hopes of landing a spot on RHOBH, but she's a big animal rights supporter, so I can't give her too much hell. She did share a smooch with a member of the Modern Family cast – see the gallery. Sadly, no Romain Zago sighting. What gives, Jo?
In other SUR news, Lisa's restaurant made it on OpenTable's Diners' Choice Top 100 List – "2014 Hot Spot Restaurants in America". Congrats, Lisa!
Lisa shared, "It has been a challenging experience. Week after week, I have viewed the vicious conversations between people I had believed to be friends. When I remember the innocence of the show four years ago, I would never have anticipated the level of cattiness and the bitchy, pack-like mentality that this experience has deteriorated into. The backstabbing of certain Housewives took it to a whole different level. It felt like I was drowning in a sea of negativity."
Cedric shares via his rep, "Tonight’s episode shined the spotlight on Lisa and Ken’s habitual lying and viciousness. It would be easy for me to say “I told you so,” but that’s not my style. But I do want to clear up the nasty deportation rumor. Brandi is brutally honest and I love it. Most of the time she says exactly what everyone else is thinking. But sometimes she tells little white lies to amp up the drama. That's where things get complicated.
Cedric's side of the story: "It all started with the entirely scripted lie that "Me and Cedric are friends from modeling." The producers concocted the fib to get her on the show. Brandi, Lisa and I sold it, and the rest is history… Brandi's a star and I was kicked to the curb. At the time I was furious. I'd just been betrayed and fired because of Lisa's vicious lies. I was naïve; expecting Brandi to do the right thing and support me, as I had supported her. Instead, she dropped me like a hot potato. In hindsight, I'm O.K. with it because I know Lisa forced Brandi to cut me off."
"One thing that reality television does give you is a thicker skin," Lisa shares. "I remember the first time something was written about me and it wasn’t true, I was so indignant and I burst into tears. I remember sitting in my restaurant thinking, ‘how could they?’ Now I’m like, ‘oh, whatever!’”
“It’s just all sensationalism, and then you read about it on Twitter and you just have to ignore it or make a statement, but for the most part it’s nonsense," Lisa tells Parade about tabloid drama and the back and forth on twitter.
Kyle Richards is going to be dining out on this cheating story a long time! But she will certainly not be dining out at SUR or Villa Blanca.
In this episode Kyle and husband Mauricio Umansky once again dismissed the rumors as ridiculous, but meanwhile across town, Kyle's former friend Lisa Vanderpump wasn't 100% certain Kyle's hubby – or any one else's – didn't cheat!
"After last week, I really was at a loss as to how I could move forward with Lisa and Brandi [Glanville]. Then after seeing this week's episode it makes it even more difficult," Kyle begins. "Lisa brings up the tabloids once again and so clearly wants to cast doubt on my marriage and Mauricio's integrity while pretending to be supportive. You aren't being supportive if you're saying 'Well, I don't know for sure' and putting that out there."
"I am very appreciative of Kenspeaking up to Lisa and saying he knows it's not true because he knows Mauricio and considers him a friend," Kyle adds.
Ken filed the suit in Los Angeles County Superior Court claiming that a "violent and opportunistic ex-felon" CedricDavid Cazaref and his brother Kevin, claiming he is the victim of an “attempted shakedown and extortion.”
According to documents obtained by Radar Online David and Kevin attacked Ken with concrete clippers on October 3rd. The brothers were hired as contractors in the new venue. The altercation began when Ken attempted to instruct them in the proper way to use the concrete clippers. The little instructional session went badly as the brothers lashed out at Ken, then attempted to scam him out of $50,000!
