Being a member of the the famous Jenner-Kardashian family may have its perks, but Kendall Jenner shares that the fame has its downside, too. She dishes with the new issue of Cosmopolitan about privacy and her future plans.
The Keeping up with the Kardashians star says that the toughest part for her is not getting a chance to experience the teen years in a normal way. “The show brought us everything we have, and I realize that, but sometimes I just want to be left alone and be a normal kid for like five minutes. That’s tough when the paparazzi are chasing you.”
Here's a question for you…given the opportunity, would you rather spend a day with the peeps from Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, engaging in their small town (and often gross) shenanigans or spend a week with those Kardashian Jenners, traveling to promotional gigs around the world and being treated to overpriced tiny rapper inspired wardrobes? I'll give you my answer later in this post.
The truth is, both families have their fair share of haters and media backlash, but they couldn't be more different. One group is constantly looking to increase its visibility and find more lucrative gigs, while the other dynamic happened to feed their five-year-old pixie sticks and enter her in pageants. Now, I am NOT condoning amping up a child on sugar and go-go juice so she can twirl around stage in a dress that costs more than your monthly income; however, one crew seeks out fame at every turn, and the other is dealing with the effects of having notoriety fall in their laps. It's not the same, I don't care how you spin it!
Adorable duo Kylie and Kendall Jenner sat down for the March issue of Glamour magazine to dish about growing up on reality TV. The youngest girls of the Jenner-Kardashian Krew share which sister they turn to for advice, how it feels to be in the spotlight, and how they really feel about the whole Kardashian Kraze.
Glamour: Your family leads such a public life. Is that a good thing?
Kylie: Our family is closer because of the show. And when we are older, we’ll have the memories on tape. If some of those moments hadn’t been filmed, I wouldn’t remember them!
Kendall: We appreciate everything that we have, but we don’t remember what it’s like to be normal kids who aren’t harassed by the paparazzi. I hate that. We’re underage girls. I don’t want to be followed by random men I don’t know. It can also be hard to deal with other kids who are jealous or mean. I can’t post a picture on Instagram without being criticized.
Kylie: No one really knows what we are like. People read about us on Twitter, but they don’t know what we do all day long. We don’t really have privacy, but we have an aspect that people don’t know about.
Our favorite reality TV stars can’t get enough of the spotlight during their regularly scheduled time slots, so they take to Twitter to share even more of their daily lives with us. And we love them for it! Here’s a roundup of some of our favorite photos from the Twitterverse this week! Enjoy!
Y'all realize that, no matter what, the Kardashians aren't going anywhere any time soon. That said, don't shoot the messenger! Actually, today's Kardashian trash is at least humorous enough to provide some sort of entertainment.
Here's a quick breakdown: Kim Kardashian doesn't want to still be married to Kris Humphries when she gives birth (but there is quite a catch!), and Kim and Kanye West maintain that Kimye, Jr. will not be a part of E!'s fall line-up. Again, I'll believe that when I see it! Finally, the youngKendall Jennerdoesn't want to follow in her family's famewhoring footsteps. Sure.
