This season of Basketball Wives has got to be almost over, right?  I mean, I don’t know how much more I can take of these women.  Just a forewarning, this post is more emotional than I tend to be, just because I was beyond disgusted at what I was watching.  I used to really enjoy watching these women.  Where did things go wrong??

Tami Roman is still going off on Kesha Nichols.  Kesha is staying cool, while Tami continues to remind Kesha that she told Royce Reed and Suzie Ketcham she wanted to go off on her.  Kesha walks away and tries to remain calm, as Tami confiscates her pocketbook and refuses to relinquish it until Kesha returns to put her in her place.  Do you kiss your kids with that mouth, Tami?  Tami seems to be mad that Kesha doesn’t know where she comes from, but it’s time to put that excuse to rest.  Tami apparently doesn’t seem to care that Kesha comes from a background where people don’t b!tch slap one another and hold handbags hostage. I want to smack (not really, as I’d be stooping to their level) Shaunie O’Neal, Evelyn Lozada, and Suzie for not intervening.  When Kesha walks away, the other women think that Kesha should have spoken her mind.  Shaunie even laughs that Tami is really going to keep her bag and sunglasses.  Tami, you are a grown woman, and you should be ashamed of your behavior.  Sixth grade bully.

On last night’s Basketball Wives, the women headed to Tahiti where all hell breaks lose and someone’s anger management backslides…big time.  But first, a little daughter-daddy dramatics!

Royce, Royce, Royce.  We resume with Royce Reed bawling to her father.  She just wants to hear her father say he’s proud of her.  Is that too much to ask?  Can Royce please get a hug?  Geez, her dad was just trying to give her some fatherly advice on how not to look like she jumps from man to man for attention.  Yet here she is, begging her father for attention.  Daddy issues, perhaps?

Oh Basketball Wives!  An episode with no fighting?  What’s a girl to do?  Don’t get me wrong…I relished in it, but I am just so…so…so confused!

Tami Roman, Nia Crooks, and Evelyn Lozada meet up for cocktails, and Evelyn is appalled that Jenn Williams is giving interviews about the smack situation.  Jenn is dead to Nia, and Tami agrees.  Of course, in Tami’s interview she says that what happened at the race track was between Jenn, Nia, and Evelyn…she will continue to maybe kind of be passive aggressive pals with Jenn.  Evelyn is beside herself.  She realizes that she’s an adult with an eighteen-year-old daughter, and while she should probably be more mature, she wants Jenn’s blood.  It’s a totally normal and mature reaction, right?  Evelyn wants Tami to uninvite Jenn from the Tahiti trip, but Tami is unwilling.  Jenn’s been invited, and Evelyn needs to get over it.  Wow, Tami.  I am slightly impressed.  Evelyn makes sure that Tami knows that she’s in charge of Evelyn not getting arrested in Tahiti.

We resume with Basketball Wives where we seem to every week…with a fight involving Evelyn Lozada.  Shoeless (we all know what that means, don’t we Kenya Bell?), she steps across the table to get to Jenn Williams who has just been smacked by her friend Nia.  Evelyn takes a flying leap off the table into the arms of a waiting production team bouncer.  I would ask when will these ladies ever learn, but I’m pretty sure the answer is “Never.”  But I will ask, when will these venues stop letting these kooks film their show at their places?

Evelyn wants Jennifer dead for thinking she’s better than Nia.  How dare Jenn call Nia a “bum b*tch?” Evelyn wreaks havoc on a plant while Jenn watches.  Nia calls out Jenn for having celebrity friends.  Tami Roman can’t even regain control of the situation.  She’s confused.  Jenn decides it’s time to leave, and Evelyn beaks down in tears because you don’t judge a b*tch.  You nevah evah judge a b*tch, ya hear?  Gracious.  Kesha Nichols leaves with Jenn, and she asks if the attack was expected.  Kesha should know by now that outbursts are par for the course with these “ladies.”

Last night’s Basketball Wives was exactly everything we’ve come to expect from this formulaic season.  Ladies gossip, ladies lunch, ladies gossiping and lunching promise to “cut a b*tch” if they ever see said B again, other ladies don’t think it’s a good idea for a group gathering, yet, a group gathering is planned.  Mayhem ensues right as the show’s hour comes to an end.  Lather, rinse, repeat for a season…

Tami Roman continues her deep conversation with her mother.  Her mother is very emotional, and she admits that she too was molested as a child and she’s been going to therapy as well to work through her issues.  The pair seems have a breakthrough which ends in hugs and tears.

Royce Reed is thrilled that Dezmon Briscoe, her NFL playing beau from Tampa Bay, is visiting in Miami.  She immediately begins grilling him about his initial meeting with her father.  I can’t tell if Dezmon is flattered or scared when she begins to compare their relationship to her parents’ forty plus year marriage.  He admits that he is deeply in love, but he also has a lot of “we’re going with the flow” talk.

Tami is excited that Shaunie O’Neal is in visiting because it gives her the opportunity dish on Kenya Bell’s music video.  Tami is disappointed that Kenya didn’t stick up for herself, but she also wishes Kenya could see the importance of listening to constructive criticism.  Both women do a spot-on interpretation on Jenn Williams, who was uncomfortable at the video screening, and it segues into how all the women will behave when they head to the horse races.  Last year, Tami had her own screaming match at the track, so she’s curious to see if they ladies can act maturely.  Sure.  Tami is also concerned, in light of Jenn and Royce’s new truce, if Jenn will change her tune towards Royce if she makes up with Evelyn Lozada.

Evelyn meets with her friend/assistant Nia who also used to be close with Jenn.  Nia is upset that someone she was such good friends with can now pretend like she doesn’t even know her.   Evelyn feels badly that Jenn has hurt Nia’s feelings so badly.  Evelyn vows that is she is around when Nia wants to confront Jenn, she is going to stay out it.  Yeah, I can’t wait to see that happen.

Yesterday, the cast members of Basketball Wives put in their two cents about Evelyn Lozada’s bottle and plate throwing tirade, and now Evelyn is weighing in.

The hot-tempered Evelyn spoke with Radar Online about the bottle smashing incident. She’s regretful…to a point.

“I do regret throwing the bottle, Shaunie (O’Neal) was there, and her or one of my castmates could have been hurt. Things went too far and I will definitely apologize for that. I would have felt bad if Kenya had been hurt, she’s a mom with two children, so God forbid if she’d have been hurt, and I could have gone to jail! My anger got the best of me with that.”

Evelyn feels that Kenya Bell was busy trying to stir up drama to keep her place on the show. “There were a lot of things going on while the cameras were off as well as on. She was always stirring the pot behind the scenes and saying things to producers to be relevant on the show.” Um, isn’t that what they ALL do?

Evelyn accuses Kenya of not being real. “It is hard for me to respect you when you are coming in and not being yourself. Her personality changes with whichever cast member she is with at the time filming.”

Things haven’t gotten any better between the two. “It is a strange relationship there, I don’t say friendship because we’re not friends.”

She says of the season finale: “I think people will be surprised who remains friends at the end of the season, there are definitely a few shocks. There are people who you think are solid and who are no longer friends, there are definitely friendships that don’t last, aside from mine with Jennifer.”

How does anyone stay friends with a hot head like that? I don’t find fearing for my safety an endearing quality in a BFF—you? They all need an anger management intervention!

The above photo is Evelyn at Millions of Milkshakes, whipping up her very own treat. Hopefully, she didn’t launch it at anyone. At least it would’ve been less painful than a wine bottle—am I right?

DO YOU THINK EVELYN STAGED THE BOTTLE INCIDENT TO GUARANTEE HERSELF A PLACE IN THE REALITY STAR SHOCKING MOMENTS HALL OF SHAME FAME?

It’s time to untangle the mess that is going on at Basketball Wives. It’s time to call in Colin Powell, because this kind of mess needs some kind of professional mediation. How else can you explain a grown woman like Evelyn Lozada throwing bottles (okay, just one bottle but that’s one too many) around? Naturally, all the women had to put their two (or three or four of five) cents into the issue. Let’s dig in and see if we can explain what is going on here.

First up, Royce Reed and her 3,000 word blog post. She breaks down the incident like this:

“I said it last week and I was right. Instead of expressing how WRONG Evelyn was for throwing a bottle and a plate at someone’s head for a “word” there was a lot of laughing. Even more so, they condoned her actions. I’m confused…how are you speaking about someone else being crazy (although I think Kenya has a “side”) when you are always the one picking up glasses, bottles, plates, jumping across tables, etc. Pot MEET Kettle. Tami and Shaunie, you both knew Evelyn was wrong so rather than saying “Evelyn you would’ve killed that girl,” hence hyping Evelyn up, it should’ve been “You were dead ass wrong and you need to learn how to curb your anger and deal with things differently.” I love you Tami and I know you are upset with me, but at this point I don’t think you understand the fact I AM a real friend to you. No way would I let you react the way Evelyn has in my presence, nor would I condone it.”

People throwing plates around is always hilarious. It’s pure comedy. The next big incident is the backlash Royce received for, uh, not throwing a plate at Jennifer when they realized Jennifer had been talking trash about her online a million years ago.  Royce says that she and Jen are now “cool,” but not friends; which is kind of like loving someone, but not being in love with them. She says she’s open to being friends with Jennifer, because she’s “not naive but also not evil.” Can anyone on BBW really not be evil?

And then, video gate! Kenya Bell showed off her new video, and Royce stands behind her artistic critique. “Like I said it wasn’t THAT BAD but speaking on the genre I know about, the dancing needed/needs to be done over. Kenya CAN SING. Kenya CAN NOT DANCE.”

Also weighing in on Kenya’s video, is Tami Roman, in her own blog, letting Kenya know “she can really sing” and that “she’s seen worse.” How sweet of Tami to take time off from cackling with another wife and give someone a compliment. She also lets Kenya know how she feels about the hazing she’s received since joining the cast:

“I’ll keep it real with you, when I came into this situation, I was tore back. I had gotten to a point in my life where I didn’t care anymore, but as I became more involved in the show, I returned to the Tami I had always been before my downfall, my marriage and The Real World. I never try to be anyone else except myself. I want you to continue to be Kenya Bell-find yourself and make YOU better. I do respect you as a woman out here grinding and truly hope the best for you.”

Tami also added in her thoughts on Royce and Jennifer “making up,” but she just re-affirms what Royce said about the two not being real friends: “This relationship is forced, at best. There will be no hanging together outside of the show; no texts, no phone conversations, and no real steps towards friendship and thus…they really didn’t need to make up.” When you’re on a show where bottles are thrown, you kinda need to call a truce if necessary. But that’s just me.

So where we last left the “ladies” of Basketball Wives, Evelyn Lozada had just hurled a wine bottle at Kenya Bell’s head.  Good times!  Is that a cross ring on her finger?  WWJD?  Not this, I assure you!  Tami Roman is able to pull Evelyn away from Kenya as she threatens death.  Suzie Ketcham feels like she’s in Iraq, what with all these wine bottles and plates whizzing by her head.  Shaunie O’Neal pretends to be distraught at this turn of events.  Tami admits that she wasn’t trying to protect Kenya as much as she was trying to avoid her friend committing homicide.  Classy, Ev!

Suzie is working out with Jenn Williams, and she’s hoping Jenn will give Royce Reed a few minutes of her time in hopes of a reconciliation.  Jenn reveals that she wasn’t so much mad at Royce as her feelings were hurt.  Perfect, exclaims Suzie–as Royce feels the same way!  Not quite…Jenn is still miffed that Royce opted to “work” with her ex Eric Williams on his “movie.”

Meanwhile Tami and Evelyn meet with Shaunie to discuss the annoying bug which is Kenya.  Are they hoping Shaunie will fire her mid-season?  Shaunie definitely thought Kenya was crazy at the dinner.  After all, she was throwing plates and wine bottles not showing any emotion when confronted by Evelyn.  Kenya is not right, y’all!  She just watched Evelyn take off her earrings without fear or concern.  Kenya must be in-flipping-sane!  Shaunie recommends a tropical girls’ trip to Tahiti, and the women question Evelyn if it would be alright to invite Jenn.  Of course it is…just give Evelyn more time to perfect her aim!  Shaunie reminds Evelyn and Tami that Suzie has invited all the women to the race track.  Should be a good time…I hope the horses are betting on which “wife” will fall victim to the first sucker punch!

Kenya and Jenn are going wine shopping.  Is it just me or does Kenya seem even more comatose than episodes past?  Kenya is hoping to purchase some vino to serve at the screening of her new video.  Jenn encourages her to invite the crew.
