Personally, I thought Kairo had a good edit. He delivered on the runway and he seemed to be very cooperative, but Sheree still feels like she needs to set the record straight when it comes to her son’s tardiness.
It seems like the saga between Kenya Moore and Matt Jordan has been going on forever. Just when I thought we were done watching this whole thing play out on Real Housewives of Atlanta, the last episode left off with the former (?) couple arguing and Matt calling Kenya out for having sex with him in his truck…. allegedly. Still, Kenya is doing what she can to make it known that she is so done with that situation even if Matt is still appearing on episodes that were filmed months ago.
Kenya is no stranger to throwing shade on social media. She loves posting an inspirational quote aimed at an enemy or even just calling someone out directly, so it was pretty much expected her to post her side of the story after that last episode.
After conquering LA with her Cargo collection, Cynthia is ready to take on Atlanta – America’s fashion mecca. Let’s be honest though, the real person Cynthia needs to impress is Sheree Whitfield. THE elegant and sophisticated fashion pioneer behind the infamous and influential She By Sheree. Big leagues!
Kairo has modeling dreams so as a favor to build his portfolio Cynthia asked him to walk in her show. Kairo dead-eye shuffles like he’s auditioning for The Walking Dead and is carrying his former human life in that mock-croc backpack. Sheree is the only one impressed, and she’s the only one unimpressed that Kairo’s only compensation is a measly bag. Even though most of the models aren’t even getting that.
I feel like Stephen McGee was everyone’s favorite cast member from the first season of Summer House– well except for Lindsay Hubbard and Everett Weston. They are not Stephen’s biggest fans and vice versa. As the newcomer to the group, Stephen wasn’t really involved in most of the drama. Instead he provided the fans with “that’s exactly what I was thinking” commentary in response to the group’s antics.
Even though the first season is (sadly) over, Stephen still has a lot to say about what went down last summer and since the show started airing. He shared his opinions on the cast’s love lives (including his own) and he even revealed who actually paid for the summer house last summer.
I knew the peace between Phaedra Parks and Kenya Moore was too good to be true. I enjoyed watching them get along this season on Real Housewives of Atlanta, but I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop. I just didn’t think it was going to happen on the group trip to Hawaii. They seemed to be on good terms – until Kenya threw that divorce party in her honor.
I see both sides on this one. Kenya was just trying to encourage optimism and growth during a tough transitional period. Still, I understand why Phaedra would not want to “celebrate” the end of her marriage and co-parenting with an ex-husband who is in prison.
Sure, a divorce is an odd thing to celebrate, but I think I understood the point Kenya intended to make with the party — she just wanted to support Phaedra and Cynthia during this transitional period of their lives. I also get why Phaedra could find it to be insensitive. I just don’t get why Phaedra handled her disappointment the way that she did. Pretending to look for ginger ale and then name calling ginger ale was NOT the best move to make.
I (along with many other viewers) was confused by Cynthia Bailey bringing Peter Thomas on a couples vacation even though they were in the process of divorcing. The viewers got to experience a lot of vicarious awkwardness from the last couple Real Housewives of Atlanta episodes.
This could not be more true when Cynthia attempted to roast Peter for his birthday and Kenya Moore threw a “Divorce Party” for her and Phaedra Parks. Yes, I think the idea is a little weird, but it did seem like Kenya was acting from a place of kindness so it was so awkward when Phaedra pretended to look for ginger ale as an excuse to leave. Not only that, but she retreated into her old ways by name calling Kenya via text.
I gotta say Phaedra really disappointed me. Usually I’d see Kenya as the cartoon cheetah in this scenario, but last night it was sooo Phaedra! One thing about this trip to Maui was that that the ladies really shed their facades and let their guards down for a change.
The episode opens with Kenya and Phaedra playing tennis, bantering as they batted balls – badly – back and forth. Kenya seems hopeful that she and Phaedra are on their way to a real friendship, but Phaedra is still content to keep things at a distance. Although she’s glad she and Kenya aren’t having drama like everyone else. DUH – DUH -DUH… that’s some horror movie foreshadowing right there! Especially when Phaedra mentions, again, that she doesn’t quite trust Kenya (or any of these girls) with the status of her divorce.
