News from the Real Housewives of New Jersey ladies has been on the quiet side since the last season went off the air. Its spin-off show Manzo’d With Children isn’t even on right now. So basically no one is getting into arguments and even the self-promotion has gone down (very slightly). This week, however, there are some little slivers of news from the Garden State reality stars.
There was zero indication that Dolores and Jackie were friends and the end of Jackie and Melissa‘s business arrangement was far from amicable. I get that Dolores has “been around forever” and has known most of these ladies for years, but I feel like Jackie’s appearance would not sit well with Melissa.
Judge me if you must but I have to keep it real when I admit that I’ve seen every single Real Housewives episode multiple times. With that said, I cannot help favoring some story lines over others – the Real Housewives story lines that got dragged out way longer than they ever should have.
Some of these plot lines were juicy at first, but just got beat to the ground. Then there are other things that happened that none of us cared about, yet they got dragged out for two or more seasons. Either way, there are plenty of story lines that did more than outstay their welcome.
Reality Tea is ranking of every, single Housewife from every, single season from almost every Real Housewives franchise. You can find Part 1 of our rankings here. Now we finally return with Part 2 (aka the big ole mush in the middle)!
In Part 1 we mostly covered most Housewives who were either too crazy to be legit, or didn’t make much of an impact, or were just so miscast and off it was painful. Some of them were too nice, or too timid, or not rich enough, or too desperate. If she’s only a Housewife for a season, there’s usually a reason!
Of course, Melissa’s sister-in-law-turned-best-friend Teresa Giudice was there to lend her support. The always-neutral cast member Dolores Catania was on hand as well. Weirdly enough, all three of them had the same brown hair with blonde highlights. RHONJfriend (and shit stirrer) Robyn Levy came through as well. The more interesting story is who wasn’t pictured.
For the most part, Melissa Gorga’s main story line last season on Real Housewives of New Jersey was opening up her clothing store Envy which was basically just a multi-episode push for publicity, but I would do the same thing if I were her. Recently Envy made headlines Melissa’s former business partner Jackie Beard Robinson liquidated inventory and had a big sale at rival Kim DePaola’s store Posche. Well, Melissa got it together way sooner than any of us expected and Envy is set to reopen pretty soon.
We all know how thirsty Kim D is for attention and that she would do anything to screw with Melissa, so it is not at all shocking that she managed to involve herself in this mess. At this point, Melissa is winning this feud, but I feel like Kim D always manages to slither her way to some form of revenge.
Kim D constantly stirs things up on Real Housewives of New Jersey and in some weird way I love her for that. I like how we don’t actually have to get to know Kim D or hear anything about her family/personal life, but she just comes in to cause drama and let the other ladies clean it up. I would be afraid to cross her in real life, but as a viewer, I really live for her appearances.
Now that Kim is no longer a Teresa Giudice soldier, she is coming for Treand her new BFF Melissa Gorga. Did you really think that part 1 of the RHONJ reunion would air without Kim sharing her thoughts? Of course not. Kim D is a card carrying member of Jacqueline Laurita’s squad now and she is spilling all of the tea. Honestly, I can never tell if she is telling the truth or if she is just making things up to get attention, but Kim D is always doing what she can to be a part of the conversation.
Before unraveling that mess, Melissa focuses on Juicy Joe’s departure for “camp.” She writes, “I think we can all agree that last night’s episode was so raw and emotional. No matter how you look at the situation, it is heartbreaking to see a family go through something like this. Teresa [Giudice]and her girls are incredibly strong. I’m so happy that we were able to be there for them and have the kids spend time together with Joe Giudice before he went away.”
