On the show, Kim appeared very upset W magazine published what she called “full-on porn” pictures of her in its annual November Art Issue, claiming they told her she would be covered in art instead of being featured fully nude in the issue.
“Looking back, I love the photos,” Kim told UsWeekly on Thursday in L.A. “W Magazine is iconic so I’m really happy that I did it and that those are the photos.”
So why the tears on the show? “It’s just that that’s not what I thought they were going to be,” she explained. “Obviously I’m comfortable posing nude — I’ve done that before, and I did that then for the magazine. But that’s probably not the direction I would’ve wanted to go if I thought that was going to be the case.”
W magazine also fired back at Kim’s allegations on Tuesday when they insisted Kim’s “cover was conceived as an artistic collaboration with well-known artist Barbara Kruger, and was a meditation on the influence that reality TV has on contemporary culture.”
Which brings us to another issue, is Kim Kardashian’s 15 minutes of fame coming to an end? Following the latest episode of her show, Kim surprisingly received a ton of backlash from fans, who for one did not believe she was even genuine about being upset, and also called her a hypocrite for complaining about the nude shots considering she became famous after releasing having a sex tape leaked.
In fact a look at the UsWeekly and HollywoodLife coverage of the story shows over 90% of the comments being very negative towards Kim. “Oh cry me a river. I may not have as much money as KK, but at least I have enough common sense to keep my clothes if I don’t want to play show and tell. Kim K — get a grip and go AWAY,” said one reader. “Oh my god this female is ridiculous! You cry over some picture, but you don’t cry over your sex tape and play boy pics?” said another. The comments on our coverage of the story echoed the same negative sentiments.
While Kim has always received criticism for her shenanigans, it has never been this negative before. Add in the recent negative press she and her family received over their Kardashian Kard debacle, fashion empire crisis, and one has to wonder if she is on the last few minutes of her original 15? Once upon a time, her former BFF Paris Hilton covered magazines and was very popular with numerous endorsements, only to become a public has been. Only time will tell if Kim is next to follow. The ratings for her E! reality show do continue to be high however with 3.17 million viewers tuning in to their most recent episode.
And finally, just 3 days after the crying episode aired on E!, FHM UK released some new bikini photos of Kimmy gracing the cover of their March issue. And when asked about her Playboy photos in the FHM interview, Kim replied, “I thought those Playboy pictures looked great.” She added, “I’ll keep them forever, but it was an independence thing for me, rather than something I want to do all the time.”
Guess it’s safe to see why fans are not taking her woe is me tears too seriously. Those FHM photos are below -
