Kourtney Kardashian is finally confirming the reports that her son Mason Disick will not be appearing on her upcoming E! reality show – Kourtney & Kim Take New York.
UsWeekly broke the surprising news weeks ago stating that the reason was due to bungled negations with the E! network. Kourtney’s beau Scott Disck reportedly wanted more money than the $1,000 per episode E! was offering for his son. The E! network declined to pay the $5,000 amount Scott wanted which led to him refusing to let them film Mason.
In a new interview with PEOPLE magazine, Kourtney however gives a different reason for her 1-year-old Mason’s absence on the upcoming show.
“You’re not going to see Mason,” Kourtney told PEOPLE. “Scott and I decided not to have him on the show this season.” The reason? Kourtney gets “weirded out to have [Mason] on camera,” adding, “he can’t make the decision if he wants to be involved in this craziness or not.”
So does this mean we’ll never get to see Mason on TV in the future? “I think we’ll take it season by season with Mason,” Kourtney says of Mason who appeared on the last season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. “We’ll see how it goes and how we’re feeling at the time.”
Kourtney & Kim Take New York Premieres Jan. 23 on E!.
