In today’s not so shocking Kardashian news, a new report states Kim Kardashian is making certain she will be edited to be a victim on her upcoming E! reality show, while her husband of 72 days Kris Humphries will be made to be a jerk!
According to a new report by RadarOnline, Kim, who isn’t an executive producer on Kourtney and Kim Take New York, still has full editorial control over what appears on the show.
Kim will be seen “as the victim, and Kris will definitely be the bad guy. Kim was stunned by the amount of bad press and the public relations nightmare she has endured since deciding to file for divorce,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online.
The source adds that Kim is hoping to use the show to repair her now tarnished image: “Kim will be using the show to attempt to rehab her image. Kim has been telling her inner circle that she has worked very hard to get where she has, and she isn’t going to let her marriage and subsequent decision to divorce Kris Humphries ruin that.” Who knew a sex tape was hard work? “Kim carefully and methodically plans all of her business decisions, and that is how she is looking at her divorce, is all business. Of course she is sad, but it’s all about Kim’s endorsement deals and paid promotional appearances. There were reports that Kim was going to lay low after she filed for divorce, yet several days later she was in Atlanta shooting a role in the movie, The Marriage Counselor.”
In fact, the current issue of Star magazine confirms Kim’s current “misery” has more to do with her money and public backlash than love. “Kim is desperately trying to get her career and megadollar endorsements back in place,” says a source who adds that her pimpmomager Kris Jenner is guiding the plan. “She’s doing everything she can to turn this around.” And this includes Kim’s spontaneous trip to meet with Kris at his family’s home in Minnesota after the divorce filing.
A source tells the mag that trip was a “sham” and definitely not an attempted reconciliation. “The Kardashians wanted the meeting to make Kim look more human and compassionate, but it did neither,” says the source. “If anything, the visit convinced the Humphries that she’s nothing more than a gold digger that used their son for her personal gain.”
Star adds that Kris Jenner has now enlisted not one, but three PR specialists to do damage control because the entire family is suffering from the backlash. Ai ya ya.
A source also claims to Radar that poor victim Kimmie, who began watching the footage after filming wrapped in mid-October, was “mortified” and only decided to divorce Kris after seeing the awful way he treated her and her family on the new show. Riiight. “The marriage was already under a tremendous amount of stress, but she just couldn’t believe that she had married this man that was treating her and her family like this,” says a source. The new E! show which is set to premiere November 27, will reportedly portray Kris as a “lazy and insensitive” villain.
As for Kris, 26, he made his first promotional appearance Thursday at a NYC press conference announcing his endorsement deal with Sector watches (he is reportedly getting paid $150,000).
During the press conference, Kris spoke briefly on his divorce heartbreak. “I’m happy to be here. As you all know, this has been a difficult time in my life, and I’m so grateful [for] my friends at Sector for their unwavering support,” he said.
There have been reports and speculation that Kris might have signed a confidentiality agreement before marrying Kim which would prohibit him from speaking negatively about her in the case of a divorce. This would explain why Kris’s dad and friends have been publicly speaking out on his behalf. Kim is rumored to have signed one as well, though unfortunately for Kris, she never signed anything preventing her from making him look like a douche on her reality show!
While Kris isn’t opening up, those close to him continue to do his bidding. The latest issue of OK! magazine reports Kim actually gave up on the marriage less than two weeks after they were wed! Other reports have claimed she talked to a divorce lawyer days before her wedding. “He really thought she just gave up too quickly and didn’t even try,” an insider says. “It came out of nowhere — he really didn’t see the divorce coming. He’s angry and also very sad.”
“It’s been painful. Kris said that he never thought in a million years she would file for divorce without giving it a chance,” the insider says. “He wanted to try. He thought in a few weeks things would be smoothed over.”
Kim, however, had different ideas and even asked Kris not to accompany her on a previously planned promotional trip to Australia. “All of a sudden, he woke up to a divorce — and then no one would return his calls,” recalls Kris’ friend. In fact, sources close to Kim admit this is true but state Kim was advised by her handlers to cut off communication with Kris. Wowzers.
However, the mag adds that Kris is not ready to give up on Kim yet. “Kris is a little bit in denial about the whole thing,” says one pal. “Kris really did love her and he still does.”

Kim Kardashian “Numb” and “Surprised” Over Divorce Backlash, Cancels Appearances, Kris Jenner Says She’ll Keep $2 Mil Ring
Days after she filed for divorce following two months of marriage, a new report now states Kim Kardashian is truly in shock over the public and very well deserved backlash she is receiving!
And why wouldn’t there be a public backlash? After all, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star pocketed a reported $17 million from her extravagant sham wedding!
A source close to Kimmie tells RadarOnline, “Kim is absolutely numb and was truly surprised and shocked at the backlash she has gotten since she decided to file for divorce.”
In fact, Kim, who has spent the week in Australia snapping pics with fans and promoting her new Kardashian Handbag line with sister Khloe Kardashian, has now decided to cancel the remainder of her public appearances in order to pretend she is mourning the demise of her marriage!
“I am very disappointed that I am unable to attend the Swisse marquee, but I hope to come back and work with the Swisse team at another point in time,” Kim said. She continued, “I love our fan base out here. Of course I do really want some time to myself and it has been tough. But I didn’t wanna bail on everyone and, you know, skip out on this commitment.” Kim was reportedly set to receive $150,000 for that appearance.
According to TMZ, Kim is telling friends she is so “distraught” over the divorce and wave of publicity that followed that she decided to bail on her Australian appearances and return to the U.S. Apparently this is the first time she’s ever missed “work” and is saying she just couldn’t handle it. Poor poor Kimmie Kakes.
Kim is quoted as saying: “I need to take care of me now, and I can’t work for awhile.” TMZ adds that it’s unclear if Kim will also be putting the brakes on her reality show, or whether she’ll simply be more selective as to what she does and doesn’t do in the near future.
And when it comes to Kim’s $2 million engagement ring, pimpmomager Kris Jenner is making it crystal clear Kim will NOT be returning it! You know, despite being only married for 72 days.
During her appearance on Good Morning America today to promote her new book All Things Kardashian, Kris was asked if Kim is planning to give back the 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond engagement ring (estimated at $2 million) Kris Humphries gave to her back in June. Her response? “I hate an Indian giver. It’s a gift. Keep your gift,” said Kris. Wowzers. In fact Kris is now receiving some backlash from Native American organizations for her “Indian giver” comment.
As for the jilted husband Kris, remember him? Kim has stopped following him on Twitter while he continues to follow her. In fact, Kris was photographed smiling and wearing his wedding ring on Monday morning in Minnesota while Kim was in L.A. filing for divorce. As we have reported, Kris found out about the divorce through TMZ.
Kris has also been lying low since the divorce filing and even canceled a scheduled Las Vegas appearance for this weekend. If only Kimmie had the same tact…
