Kyle Richards

Well, I guess we can now say “it” has been brought. During the game night from hell on last week’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, new girl Brandi Glanville challenged Kim Richards to “Bring it, b!thch!” after feeling the wrath of the Richards sisters. While Brandi apologized to Kyle Richards in the following episode at an awkward spa day, Kim wanted nothing to do with the piranha named Brandi.

Kyle has since done damage control spoken out about the women’s behavior, but her sister Kim has remained relatively mum (save a tweet or two)…until now. In a blog on her twitter page, Kim addresses the fight, her actions, and that pesky little crystal meth accusation.

Kim begins, “Let me first start off by apologizing for the delay in my blogs. It has taken me some time to come to grips with certain events that have unfolded on the show. One event in particular is the situation that occurred on Game Night at Pam’s aka Dana’s (haha) That night was the first time I had ever met Brandi.”

She maintains, “For someone who doesn’t know me personally to outright accuse me of using crystal meth leaves me bewildered. Not only did she accuse me of using crystal meth, she accused me of using crystal meth on national television. Drug abuse isn’t something you just throw around as a jab. When Brandi uttered those words on camera, the only thing I could think of was ‘where the hell did that come from?’”

As you recall, it was Kim’s odd behavior and multiple bathroom trips that prompted the outburst while the three women were fighting. Kim is adamant that it wasn’t drug abuse but anxiety medication that is to blame for her very loopy demeanor.

She explains, “I told the others that night, that I had just left my doctors for treatment of my anxiety and panic disorder. I have suffered from this for many years. They knew he had given me medication for it. I found myself groggy, as this was a medication I had never taken before. That is why I was carrying my coffee with me. I should have gone home to lay down. Instead I went to shoot RHOBH. My doctors have been trying to determine which medication is right for me.” Perhaps she took this same medication while Adrienne and Paul were waiting on her to fly with them to the Kings game?

Kim takes a little responsibility for instigating the incident, admitting, “I know I was no angel that night. I am embarrassed that I fed into the negativity. I didn’t like the way I acted and that is not my character. When I said ‘I don’t want her on my team’ I was just joking with my sister. We have our own sibling banter and we get each other’s jokes. That’s my humor. It’s my fault for not making it obvious to Brandi that I was joking and for that I apologize.”

Kim alludes that Brandi’s excuse for her meltdown is more than a tad hypocritical. “By Brandi throwing out that accusation, it not only hurt me and my reputation, but hurt my children. Brandi was so concerned saying ‘don’t talk about my children’ But did she think for one moment about MY children when she carelessly threw those words out?” Kim makes a pretty valid point there.

She continues, “My kids have been devastated by her cruel words. My children and their friends and families watch this show as well. I can say that I am not embarrassed or apologetic for coming to my sister’s defense. I love my sister with all my heart no matter what ups and downs we go through. She always has my back and I will forever have hers.”

Kim doesn’t deny a past history of substance abuse. She says, “I’ll be the first to admit that I have struggled in the past with certain vices; but I have never in my life, EVER, used crystal meth. I have discussed openly my issues with alcohol. As many of you know, sobriety is a lifetime process, a process that is a priority in my life right now. I am grateful for the love and support of my children, family and dear friends.”

She ends the entry thanking her friends, family, and fans for the outpouring of support she has received since that uncomfortable to watch scene. Admittedly that accusation was ridiculous. Yes, Kim was acting wacky very odd, but crystal meth? This is, after all, Beverly Hills.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF KIM’S RESPONSE? DID SHE TAKE ENOUGH RESPONSIBILITY FOR HER PART IN THE ALTERCATION? ARE YOU TEAM BRANDI OR TEAM KIM?

After weeks of rumors and speculation, Bravo will indeed air scenes featuring the deceased Russell Armstrong on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

The network went about confirming the news in a rather FYI fashion as it simply showed Russell in a preview clip for next week’s episode instead of putting out a press release to announce its decision.

In the clip (posted below), which will air on Monday night, Russell can be seen having dinner with his wife Taylor Armstrong and her friend Kyle Richards, as he openly talks about suing co-star Lisa Vanderpump for talking about him to a magazine.

“So did you read the big story today?” asks Russell as he passes a magazine article across the dinner table. “They link it to Lisa. We’ll just serve them with a lawsuit,” he continues as Kyle looks on in surprise. “This is very awkward,” Kyle later states in a separate on-camera interview. “Am I next?” she asks.

Russell’s first appearance on the show this season will be on the 9th episode. The Bravo network had made certain to edit him out of the first eight episodes of the season despite the fact that the early season previews played up the Armstrongs’ marital issues as a major season storyline. Bravo however made drastic edits to the show following Russell’s suicide in August. He had blamed the show for ruining his life and marriage.

So far, there hasn’t been any major backlash against Bravo over its decision to air Russell’s scenes. Kyle and Adrienne Maloof also spoke out on Bravo’s decision.

“I think it will be uncomfortable, a little bit,” says Kyle to Wetpaint. “But it was part of the story that was going on. This was shot six months before any of that happened. But it will probably be difficult [to watch].”

Adrienne added that seeing Russell on the show will definitely reopen some old wounds. “I think to see Russell in upcoming episodes will be a little tough. Overall, the suicide has been so horrific on all of us,” says Adrienne. “But I think it puts a face behind what has happened.”

My Thoughts – I say this is a good decision on Bravo’s part. The reason? Quite frankly Russell agreed to do the show not once, but twice by choosing to return for a second season despite publicly stating he did not like the “edit” he received in season 1. Though it is unknown whether or not he was contractually obligated to return to the show, it is highly unlikely as the housewives are usually the ones who sign contracts with Bravo, and not the husbands. Case in point – Jim Bellino’s decision to stop filming during the 6th season of the Real Housewives of OC. Plus I do not believe Bravo is to blame for Russell’s suicide in any way, shape, or form. And neither is Taylor. In fact, Russell’s lawyer has publicly stated on more than one occasion that Russell took his own life due to mounting financial difficulties. At the end of the day, Russell’s suicide, as unfortunate as it is, is reality. Reality that should not be altered on a reality show due to this unfortunate tragedy.

Yes he is no longer here to defend himself against any negative portrayal by Bravo but once again, he signed up to do the show and was not forced by Bravo. And the below comment made by Russell in one of his last interviews before his suicide leads me to believe he knew what he was doing, and had his own motives and reasons for doing RHOBH.

Russell told The Fix this summer about appearing on the Bravo hit show: “At first I was a little annoyed about all the bullsh*t, but then I realized it’s not so bad to be a celebrity. The thing is, all the publicity has been great for my business.”

Abuse Issue – This also makes way for Bravo to touch on the whole domestic abuse issue. While many fans of the show doubt Taylor’s claims of physical abuse, I for one do not. For starters, two of Russell’s exes (an ex-wife and ex-girlfriend) have stated in court documents, way before Russell even married Taylor, that he also physically abused them. PLUS Russell himself admitted to getting physical with his wife, telling PEOPLE in July that he “pushed” her. The last time I checked, pushing is physical abuse. Now I absolutely do get the skepticism, ahem… when you take Taylor’s sketchy past into consideration, but no matter how sketchy Taylor is, it doesn’t mean she was immune to being physically abused by her husband. I believe she was abused and I believe the abuse photos are real. I also believe that it is important for Bravo to tell this story if it can at least save the life of one battered woman.

Last night on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills everybody got pampered and relaxed and got along swimmingly. Oh, wait – wrong show! The ladies continued their trip back in time to Beverly Hills High with Kyle playing the real-life all grown up Brenda Walsh, and Kim as her sidekick, and poor Brandi the victim of all their immaturity. I give Brandi credit – she stood her ground while retaining her dignity and did not bend to the almighty queens of bitchery.

Things start off with a little cooking lesson. Lisa has decided she can bear no more of Adrienne’s inadequacies in the kitchen and simply must teach her to roast a chicken. After everyone puts on their surgical gloves, they begin washing the chicken with dish soap – for anti-bacterial purposes. Then they stuff things up his bum after removing his guts. I guess Lisa was practicing for her treatment of Brandi later on! Adrienne is absolutely hopeless in the kitchen – hence the reason she has a chef – can’t find the salt and pepper or any of her three fridges, and just isn’t having fun. Was anyone else surprised they were stuffing a chicken’s butt with all their jewelry on?

In today’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills news, the Richards sisters continue their apology tour for their recent behavior on the show!

Following Monday night’s conclusion of ‘Game Night From Hell,’ Kim Richards is now breaking her silence, following in the footsteps of her sister Kyle Richards, by apologizing for how she treated newbie Brandi Glanville.

“I regret how I acted. I am very sorry and it is so hard for me to watch the show,” tweeted Kim. She later added: “Thank you for your support!! I of course regret my behavior as well and im sure we both wish we could take it back.”

Also speaking out once again about her mean girl behavior is Kyle, who assures us she is absolutely NOT mean in real life! “The last couple of weeks I look like a mean person and I’m not, but you don’t always see everything and it’s hard to explain to people,” Kyle told Wetpaint. “I can say that when I watch it, I think that’s not me.”

Kyle goes on to reveal that she doesn’t have an issue with Brandi while seemingly blaming Brandi’s friendship with Cedric Martinez (Lisa Vanderpump’s former houseguest) as the reason for treating her the way she did.

“I don’t have anything against Brandi, I think she’s a beautiful girl. I think things are misunderstood about her son going to the bathroom on the grass. I don’t have any sons, but I know that little boys do that,” explained Kyle. “There is just a lot of stuff that people don’t see leading up to Brandi coming into the show, amongst all of us girls talking and knowing she is friends with Cedric,” she added.

As for Brandi, she is now firing back at both sisters in her latest Bravo blog. In the excerpt below, Brandi takes back the crystal meth comment she made about Kim but makes it clear she still believes Kim was under the influence of something -

“No, I do not believe that Kim was on crystal meth, and for that I apologize. I am also not 100 percent sold it was merely anxiety medication. Didn’t she tell Kyle she was inhaling air freshener? So maybe I was wrong: it wasn’t crystal meth, it was Febreeze. Under extreme circumstances I have taken anti-anxiety medication, and it did not require me to make 10 to 15 bathroom trips in the matter of four hours. Just sayin’.”

Brandi goes on to slam both Kyle and Kim for taking her crutches -

“When someone is dealing with an injury or a disability , it’s really funny to hide their means of support, right? It’s really funny to hide someone’s crutches. Isn’t it interesting that Kyle and Kim question my etiquette, morals, and upbringing, and yet they hide an injured woman’s crutches? Hilarious. There are three sides to every story and everyone saw the truth. Kyle’s version was entertaining, wasn’t it? I should have gotten a bowl of popcorn and some red vines because that story was straight out of her imagination.”

And finally, Kim Richards recently celebrated her 47th birthday and posted photos on her personal facebook page! In attendance were all four of her children as well as her sister Kyle. Those photos are below!

On last night’s episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the ladies just couldn’t seem to get along and Brandi was again an outsider with only Adrienne and Taylor willing to be her friend – but only when no one else was looking! It kinda reminded me of Heathers! Watch your drink, Kyle!

Game night continues to rage on at Dana’s. Brandi tries to call a “Time-Out” but the Richards are in full attack mode, Winston Churchill be damned; they subscribe to Napoleonic tactics! Kyle is still upset Brandi let her son pee on Adrienne’s grass – ok, it’s tacky, but c’mon! Brandi is furious that Kyle is talking about her kids, but Kyle is actually talking about Brandi’s bad mothering!

Camille admits Kyle can be a B-I-T-C-H. Sick of the Richards’ superior attitude, a sniffling Brandi snaps that everyone else is trailer park and they’re Queens of England. Um…no, Kim redirects, only Brandi is trailer park! And Kyle’s not wearing a tiara! Duh! Well, I kinda think Kyle wears one at home when no one is looking, don’t you?

Following Monday night’s explosive argument between the Richards Sisters and newbie Brandi Glanville on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle Richards is making the media rounds to publicly admit her behavior was appalling and give her perspective on how the argument got so out of hand. Wait?! Did I just type that a reality star apologized for their behavior? Hmph, interesting.

Taking to her Bravo blog, Kyle recalls that this episode was harder for her to watch than last season’s finale where she and Kim Richards had the infamous limo fight; explaining that the argument with Kim was deeply personal and years in the making, where as Monday’s episode was just plain “mean girls!”

Kyle even describes herself as a witch! “Oh, my gosh, all I needed was a broom and a wart on the end of my nose,” she says of her catty laugh in response to Kim’s rude comments about Brandi!

Kyle also defended herself on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, telling him: “I look at this and I think that’s just not who I am and it bothers me that it got to that!”

“I look so mean, and I swear I’m not a mean person,” Kyle insists. Surprisingly Kyle did not blame editing and acknowledges she was totally responsible for her actions. She explains her reasons for the over-the-top outburst as “Group dynamics are so tense, they bring out the worst in you.”

“Especially since I was working on my relationship with my sister [Kim]. I think she could have done anything at that point and I would have stood by her,” she goes onto clarify.

When asked about Kim’s health and if she had relapsed, Kyle played coy while revealing a very interesting fact: “I haven’t seen her, myself. I hope not!” However she does emphatically state that Kim, who was taped popping pills at an airport last year, was not intoxicated during the incident.

Telling Access Hollywood: “I was really upset when Brandi made those accusations to my sister because it wasn’t true. They were pretty hard accusations, especially when there were cameras there,” Kyle protested. Kyle repeats that she doesn’t know what was wrong with Kim during the argument and she “only saw what you saw!”

Explaining the dynamics of RHOBH, Kyle quips: “This is not Little House on the Prairie, folks!” Adding that all she can do is “learn from this and move forward and hope to not let these things get so out of hand again.”

She also admits that putting herself out there on a reality show is “not easy, but it can be a wonderful platform.” And she has called her friend and veteran reality TV personality Bethenny Frankel “in tears” because of the show. “It’s not easy putting your life out there and sometimes being judged,” Kyle explains. Especially “for things you don’t necessarily think are ‘who you are.’”

Kyle regrets her behavior (and Kim’s) so much she even wonders if she will come back for another season! “I don’t know. This season is done for now, so I don’t have to think about it for a while,” she mused. “There’s always that chance.”

As for her relationship with Brandi, she confesses “it gets worse before it gets better.” And offers an apology to Brandi and “anyone else who I let down. “ Wow she is really taking this to heart!

Kim has yet to make any comment about the incident or the accusations flying her way. She also has not done a blog for Bravo all season or Tweeted anything about the episode.

Thoughts on Kyle’s apologies? Is she sincere? Do you believe Kim was intoxicated or just a mean girl?

On last night’s episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the ladies went back in time to West Beverly High to relive their high school days of catty drama, cliques, and mean girls. Oh, I love a good time warp! The only thing missing was some killer acid wash jeans and a pouf bang!

Lisa and Ken are preparing for a dinner party to celebrate the return of Pandora and Jason from NYC. Lisa is cooking dinner (yes, it appeared that she was actually preparing food sans chef) whilst Ken assisted with the wine tasting. Lisa’s son Max got on the phone with his girlfriend and dropped an “I love you” leaving Lisa in a tailspin. While she is all but marching Pandora down the aisle, she isn’t sure about some other girl stepping on her toes where Max is concerned!

From domestic divas to people who don’t know what their microwave looks like, Taylor is making cookies from a box and needs Dana’s help. Both ladies don aprons and then poke at a bowl of unconvincing looking batter while lamenting about Adrienne’s BBQ where the notorious c-o-c-k incident occurred! Taylor mentions the upcoming “Game Night” she was supposed to host at her house but asks if Dana can take over since she has too many … issues going on. Event planner Dana is fine with hosting the big event, but will be outsourcing the planning cause she’s too busy. Keep in mind, Dana’s career is Event Planning and she supposedly has put on events like the Grammy’s.
