Congrats to Leah Messer? At the tender age of 19, the Teen Mom 2 star is pregnant once again and gearing up for her second marriage according to UsWeekly and E! News.
In fact, Leah’s new fiancé Jeremy Calvert confirmed the news to the all new Reality Weekly magazine.
“Yes, Leah is having my baby!” Jeremy tells Reality Weekly via the Hollywood Life. “I was at work when Leah called to tell me. She’d gotten blood work done and it came back positive. At first I was kind of surprised — but I was happy.”
Jeremy, 22, goes on to reveal he proposed to Leah on Dec. 25. “We got engaged on Christmas Day,” he states. “I bought an ornament for the tree that said ‘Engaged’ with both our names on it and the date. And when I saw Leah looking at it, that’s when I gave her the ring. It’s a 1.5 princess-cut diamond.”
As for Leah’s ex-husband/father of her twin girls Corey Simms, Jeremy reveals all is well between all parties. “We both get along with Corey,” Jeremy shared. “We drop the kids off and we talk. It works.” Indeed, Corey’s new girlfriend Summer Tavarezrecently revealed that “Corey likes Jeremy a lot.”
Jeremy adds that he feels Leah will make a great mother and wife. “Nothing ever gets Leah down,” he says. “She stands strong for the kids. And I know that no one is better to have as your kids’ mother than Leah.”
Leah and Jeremy started dating last August. This would be Leah’s third child (she is the mother of two-year-old twins Aliannah and Aleeah). Leah filed from divorce from Corey last April after only six months of marriage.
I’m sorry but personally, I find this to be quite tragic. This has disaster written all over it. A possible two marriages and three kids all at the age of 19? What happened to just being a teenager and enjoying life? I’m guessing the pregnancy came first and then the shot-gun engagement. Wowzers.

TELL US – THOUGHTS? HAPPY FOR LEAH? OR IS SHE TOO YOUNG?
Last night’s Teen Mom 2 was all about holiday hoopla, reconciliations and jail bait. Corey, Leah and the twins enjoy their birthday and first Christmas at home, while Kailyn struggles with sharing Isaac over the holiday. Chelsea can’t do much more than shoot googly eyes at Adam, while Jenelle tries her darndest to bail Kieffer out of jail in time for Christmas. Awww, the gift that keeps on giving… Ugg, ugg, and more uggs…literally.
Chelsea talks to Adam for the first time since their big fight after her surgery. Adam has a new job, and Chelsea wants to the pair cease fire before the holidays. Her mom is trying to be supportive and allow Chelsea to invite Adam over to the family’s Christmas. Adam comes to take Chelsea and Aubree to pick out a tree, and he reveals that his new job provides health benefits for Aubree as well as his child support will be garnished from his paycheck. That’s a start at least!

While many of you have expressed a love/hate relationship with Teen Mom 2 (and I can’t say I blame you), I can say with great confidence that all who watched Tuesday’s episode were thrilled to see that Leah Messer and Corey Simms’ daughter Ali wasn’t suffering from brain abnormalities which could lead to mental incapacity. While developmentally she is behind her twin Aleeah, she is healthy and doing well. In a recent interview, Leah opens up to Life and Style about getting the good news.
Upon hearing the diagnosis the young mother remembers, “I was relieved. The worst thing I could’ve heard would be that there’s something wrong with Aliannah’s brain.” Leah reveals it was difficult to mask her fear in front of her twin daughters, stating, “It was pretty hard and emotional as a mom to know that something could be wrong with my child.” Of Ali, who is continuing with physical therapy, Leah exclaims, “She’s doing great!”
Coy with the magazine about her new love, Jeremy Calvert— the guy she met and moved in with in a matter of months — Leah reveals, “Jeremy and I do talk about getting engaged.” Do tell!
And tell she does! Of course, by “she” I mean her ex-husband Corey’s new girlfriend Summer Taverez who gives an exclusive interview to HollywoodLife.com in an effort to jump start her fifteen minutes because apparently her plan of just dating Corey for fame didn’t work.
Summer begins in June (sorry, couldn’t resist), “I think Corey would be very supportive of [Leah’s potential engagement]. He likes Jeremy a lot. Jeremy is a good guy.” Summer tells the site, “Him and Jeremy get along great. Actually especially just with me just hanging out with him, I was really surprised how they get along great.” I am the last one to talk smack about someone’s grammar (as you all know mine isn’t always well good!), but really?
“They co-parent very good. Corey gets the girls when he is supposed to and then Leah has them,” the paramour shares. Summer even discusses her first meeting with Corey’s ex-wife, recalling, “[Leah] was polite. She said ‘Hi.’ Jeremy and Corey talked a lot because they’re cool with each other. It wasn’t awkward or anything.” Teen Mom Swingers? MTV, are you paying attention?
Continuing her love fest for her — follow me — new boyfriend’s ex-wife’s maybe future fiance, Summer concludes that Jeremy is great because “the way he treats Leah and the girls is awesome.” Awe. Some. Summer, I think I hear a clock ticking… fourteen, thirteen, twelve…
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF SUMMER’S INTERVIEW? SHOULD SHE BE DISCUSSING LEAH’S BUSINESS? DO YOU BELIEVE THINGS BETWEEN THE COUPLES ARE AS CHUMMY AS SHE’S MAKING IT SOUND?
The girls of Teen Mom 2 are at it again. They make a good decision, then they make two bad decisions. They seem to be on the right track, then they derail faster than Chelsea can whine that Adam’s changed. And the guys? Oh the guys! I know boys mature slower than girls, but COME. ON. It’s time to step up to the plate, with everyone acting like adults. There are children involved, after all.
We rejoin Jenelle Evans as she moves back in with mom Barbara after filing domestic violence charges against Kieffer. She is trying to redeem her failing grades and focus on her upcoming nineteenth birthday. Her mother seems passively supportive of her daughter’s efforts, but she is concerned that Kieffer will throw her back off course. The two both agree that Jenelle spending time with son Jace is the right thing to do.

Oh, Leah. Leah, Leah, Leah. MTV, as well as teenage pregnancy awareness groups, often advocate that the Teen Mom spin-offs (along with their 16 and Pregnant predecessors) are doing an amazing job warning young girls about the perils of practicing unsafe sex and having babies too early. While that may be very true, it’s ironic that the same girls featured on these shows as “examples of what not to do” are the ones who are learning nothing from their current situations.
Case in point, Hollybaby.com is citing a story that claims Leah Messer, the just recently divorced mother of twin girls, is expecting her third child with boyfriend Jeremy Calvert, 22. You know, the guy she met in July a month after finalizing her divorce (also the one she moved in with in October). Apparently, she’s taking things slowly for a nineteen-year-old which scares the old lady in me immensely!
One of Leah’s “friends” (God love these girls’ “true friends”) tells InTouch Weekly that Leah has wanted to get pregnant with her new beau’s baby for a while… and that ‘while’ can’t be more than a couple months just by math’s sake, given the pair’s quick courtship. The pal reveals, “She was actively trying to conceive with Jeremy. She stopped using birth control last month.” Can I make a suggestion that will likely be shot down by readers and MTV alike? If your teen moms really want to continue being teen moms several times over, it’s probably time to take them out of the rotation.
On December 9, Leah was seen leaving St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Virginia. According to the source, the already mother of two “was glowing.” States the source, “She looked like she had just heard some big news.” Said witness is apparently also a lip reader, as he/she reported that Leah called Jeremy on her way out of her doctor’s appointment — which confirmed her home pregnancy results — to exclaim, “I’m pregnant.”
The friend continues as he/she is getting paid by the word, “[Leah] sees Jeremy act like a wonderful father and she believes the baby will make the family stronger. She thinks this is the best decision for Ali and Aleeah.” No word currently as to whether the 2-year-old twins’ father, Corey Simms, agrees. I’m going to venture a guess that he’s not on board. A source close to the former spouses agrees, admitting that Corey is beyond angry with his recent ex-wife. Corey, 21, allegedly said, “[She is] a slut and doesn’t have her head on straight.” Let’s watch it with the name calling there, bud. You have daughters to raise!
Another friend (they just come out of the woodwork, don’t they?) shares, “Leah forgets that she’s only been dating Jeremy for a few months.” Concurring is Leah’s stepfather. The pal says, “He thinks she is too young for another kid.”
Hopefully, if this news is true, Jeremy is in on this grand plan. The same blog is also reporting that Leah is ready to bestow the role of new daddy on her live-in love, and she is openly gushing that she’d love to be engaged to Jeremy. Is MTV taking the hint and planning on yet another wedding as the backdrop for season 3 of Teen Mom 2?
“Leah is going full stream ahead, she loves that Jeremy is acting like a father to the girls. She is more than fine with him taking Corey’s place,” says a source, who adds,“She doesn’t see anything wrong with it and is happy to be moving on.”
Not shockingly, Corey isn’t keen on being reduced to second fiddle in the twins’ lives. He retorts, “My girls know who their daddy is. I’d die for my girls. Jeremy is not there to replace me. No one will keep me from them.”
It is a blessing that the girls are loved by so many, with Jeremytweeting on December 16, “Happy Birthday Ali and Aleeah! You girls mean the word to me. I love you both beyond words!” He followed up his well wishes on Tuesday with a declaration to their mother: “@TM2LeahDawn baby I’ll always be there for u no matter what ! I love you!” Funny… not too long ago, Mr. Calvert’s tweets were private. I guess he can’t leave his fans in the dark! Regardless, wow. Oh, Leah. Leah, Leah, Leah.
DO YOU THINK THAT LEAH IS PREGNANT AGAIN? SHOULD SHE BE TRYING TO REPLACE COREY WITH JEREMY IN THE TWINS’ LIFE? TRICK QUESTION—OF COURSE NOT! DO YOU THINK JEREMY’S TWEETS ARE APPROPRIATE OR SHOULD HE BE MORE SENSITIVE TO COREY?
Last night’s Teen Mom 2 doubled the depressing. Jenelle Evans and Kailyn Lowry both battled issues with their distant mothers, while Leah Messer-Simms and Chelsea Houska spent twice the time in the hospital.
Leah is taking time off work to spend time with the twins. She can’t get over her anxiety about Ali’s impending brain MRI. Leah tells her friend that while her daughters are her world, her life would be very different — and probably much easier — if she had waited to have children.
Kailyn is signing the lease on Isaac’s and her new digs. She found the apartment through a non-profit group and she’s keeping the news secret from her mother after getting an ugly note from her mom’s live-in boyfriend. Kailyn is excited to share the news with her boyfriend Jordan and has already decided to turn the laundry room into a small nursery for Isaac since she doesn’t have a washer and dryer. Jordan seems excited about the prospect of being able to visit Kailyn and Isaac without having to deal with her mom or Jo… although it’s hard to tell, as he’s almost as monotone as his girlfriend.

On last night’s Teen Mom 2, Chelsea Houska decides to give jackleg Adam Lind YET ANOTHER chance, Kailyn Lowry finds herself worrying about making ends meet (and she’s the only responsible one!) and Jenelle Evans ends up living in her car with deadbeat boyfriend Kieffer Delp. Don’t these girls make bank for doing this show? Or at least enough to pay rent? It’s depressing to watch, much less recap, but I Just. Can’t. Turn. Away.
Kailyn is feeling the strain of living with her mother and her boyfriend. She shares a note with her friend that she received from said boyfriend after coming in late from work (yes, work… does he realize it could be MUCH worse?). Kailyn is extremely hurt that her mom is turning the other cheek while she works hard and attends school full time. Kailyn is ready to get her own place and cut all ties. I will say her mother has always rubbed me the wrong way.

With Teen Mom 2 back on the rails, we’re likely to see the girls from MTV’s second cycle of the series everywhere we turn. If nothing else, it gives us a much needed break from stories about the ladies of the original Teen Mom, right? The upcoming issue of US Weekly is no exception, highlighting some of the messier relationships the girls face this season, like Leah Messer’s divorce and Chelsea Houska’s horrible relationship decisions.
According to the magazine, even though she’s the one who filed the divorce papers, Leah Messer, 19, is adamant that she had high hopes her marriage would last. She insists, “I wanted to go through counseling, but he didn’t. I wanted the divorce to stop.” The mother of 2-year-old twin girls with her ex-husband, 21-year-old Corey Simms reveals that up until the end, “I was trying to make it work.”
Of course, fast forward to July of this year — a mere month after the couple’s divorce was final — and Leah has met a new man, Jeremy Calvert, 22. After all she’d been through, Leah vowed, “I was never going to have a boyfriend again.” She even admits, “I was scared… I stood him up.” Of her new beau, Leah gushes, “He’s really mature.” As you recall, the lovebirds moved in together in October.
Speaking of people who make me want to shove a pencil in my eye lovebirds, Leah’s co-star Chelsea Houska, 20, is dishing to the magazine about her on-again-off-again relationship with cheating d-bagAdam Lind, the father of their two-year-old daughter Aubree. As of the magazine’s publication, the pair is currently off, but knowing these two, it’s only a matter of time before Adam is nice to Chelsea for a full ninety seconds causing her to fall head over heels and start supporting his freeloading ways.
While Adam has admitted to cheating on Chelsea multiple times, she admits, “I’m comfortable with him.” She continues, “It’s hard to let him go. I can’t even count how many times we’ve gotten back together!” Someone please give this poor girl some self-esteem!
Chelsea’s extremely supportive father joined her family, friends and all of MTV’s viewing population in thinking that his daughter’s relationship was “a trainwreck.” He, unlike Chelsea, must still remember those scathing text messages Adam sent his daughter on their episode of 16 and Pregnant. Of their recent, but now defunct, reconciliation, Chelsea reveals that her dad was “disappointed.”
She says, “I couldn’t explain to him why I do it — I don’t even know… I know it’s not right, but I do it anyway.” Perhaps Chelsea should figure that out and work on showing her daughter what it’s like to value and respect herself so Aubree doesn’t make the same mistakes.
It’s this kind of drama that has more viewers than ever tuning in to watch Leah, Chelsea and their co-stars Jenelle Evans and Kailyn Lowry. TVbytheNumbers.com is reporting that 4.2 million people watched last week’s season premiere, giving it the highest ratings of a premiere in the franchise. The number of viewers increased 21 percent from the show’s first season premiere, not to mention making December 6th, MTV’s most viewed Tuesday night in the network’s history. So, in the words of Chelsea’s father, it may be a “trainwreck” but we certainly can’t turn away from the aftermath.
A new episode of Teen Mom2 premieres tonight at 10PM ET on MTV.

DO YOU THINK LEAH WANTED HER MARRIAGE TO WORK EVEN AFTER FILING FOR DIVORCE? WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON CHELSEA AND ADAM? WILL YOU BE TUNING IN TONIGHT?
