On last night’s Teen Mom 2, Chelsea Houska decides to give jackleg Adam Lind YET ANOTHER chance, Kailyn Lowry finds herself worrying about making ends meet (and she’s the only responsible one!) and Jenelle Evans ends up living in her car with deadbeat boyfriend Kieffer Delp. Don’t these girls make bank for doing this show? Or at least enough to pay rent? It’s depressing to watch, much less recap, but I Just. Can’t. Turn. Away.
Kailyn is feeling the strain of living with her mother and her boyfriend. She shares a note with her friend that she received from said boyfriend after coming in late from work (yes, work… does he realize it could be MUCH worse?). Kailyn is extremely hurt that her mom is turning the other cheek while she works hard and attends school full time. Kailyn is ready to get her own place and cut all ties. I will say her mother has always rubbed me the wrong way.

With Teen Mom 2 back on the rails, we’re likely to see the girls from MTV’s second cycle of the series everywhere we turn. If nothing else, it gives us a much needed break from stories about the ladies of the original Teen Mom, right? The upcoming issue of US Weekly is no exception, highlighting some of the messier relationships the girls face this season, like Leah Messer’s divorce and Chelsea Houska’s horrible relationship decisions.
According to the magazine, even though she’s the one who filed the divorce papers, Leah Messer, 19, is adamant that she had high hopes her marriage would last. She insists, “I wanted to go through counseling, but he didn’t. I wanted the divorce to stop.” The mother of 2-year-old twin girls with her ex-husband, 21-year-old Corey Simms reveals that up until the end, “I was trying to make it work.”
Of course, fast forward to July of this year — a mere month after the couple’s divorce was final — and Leah has met a new man, Jeremy Calvert, 22. After all she’d been through, Leah vowed, “I was never going to have a boyfriend again.” She even admits, “I was scared… I stood him up.” Of her new beau, Leah gushes, “He’s really mature.” As you recall, the lovebirds moved in together in October.
Speaking of people who make me want to shove a pencil in my eye lovebirds, Leah’s co-star Chelsea Houska, 20, is dishing to the magazine about her on-again-off-again relationship with cheating d-bagAdam Lind, the father of their two-year-old daughter Aubree. As of the magazine’s publication, the pair is currently off, but knowing these two, it’s only a matter of time before Adam is nice to Chelsea for a full ninety seconds causing her to fall head over heels and start supporting his freeloading ways.
While Adam has admitted to cheating on Chelsea multiple times, she admits, “I’m comfortable with him.” She continues, “It’s hard to let him go. I can’t even count how many times we’ve gotten back together!” Someone please give this poor girl some self-esteem!
Chelsea’s extremely supportive father joined her family, friends and all of MTV’s viewing population in thinking that his daughter’s relationship was “a trainwreck.” He, unlike Chelsea, must still remember those scathing text messages Adam sent his daughter on their episode of 16 and Pregnant. Of their recent, but now defunct, reconciliation, Chelsea reveals that her dad was “disappointed.”
She says, “I couldn’t explain to him why I do it — I don’t even know… I know it’s not right, but I do it anyway.” Perhaps Chelsea should figure that out and work on showing her daughter what it’s like to value and respect herself so Aubree doesn’t make the same mistakes.
It’s this kind of drama that has more viewers than ever tuning in to watch Leah, Chelsea and their co-stars Jenelle Evans and Kailyn Lowry. TVbytheNumbers.com is reporting that 4.2 million people watched last week’s season premiere, giving it the highest ratings of a premiere in the franchise. The number of viewers increased 21 percent from the show’s first season premiere, not to mention making December 6th, MTV’s most viewed Tuesday night in the network’s history. So, in the words of Chelsea’s father, it may be a “trainwreck” but we certainly can’t turn away from the aftermath.

DO YOU THINK LEAH WANTED HER MARRIAGE TO WORK EVEN AFTER FILING FOR DIVORCE? WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON CHELSEA AND ADAM? WILL YOU BE TUNING IN TONIGHT?
They’re baa–ack! Last night marked the return of MTV’s second season of the second cycle of Teen Mom. The stories begin where they left off last season, and not much has changed with the young mothers.
Right off the bat, Jenelle Evans and her mother Barbara are like oil and water. Jenelle is trying to keep the fact that she bailed her boyfriend Kieffer out of jail a secret. She tells her mom she really wants to turn her life around and she has no plans to bail her ex out of the clink. Per the usual, she is met with her mother’s doubt and negativity, but Jenelle is allowed to take her son Jace to the park alone… where she meets up with her convict boyfriend. I don’t know whether I’m more upset that Barbara has never had any faith in her daughter or Jenelle for never giving her a reason to have it in the first place.

Teen Mom 2 premieres tonight on MTV and for some of the ladies it’s a season filled with drama, heartbreak and tough choices as their babies become toddlers.
RadarOnline is reporting that we will get a birds-eye glimpse of Leah Messer‘s marital issues, particularly that Leah feels trapped at home taking care of her twin daughters while her husband, Corey Simms, works long hours. Leah craves some independence and a job of her own leading to some unfortunate situations, but hey when you have children someone has to take care of them!
Chelsea Houska completes the GED this season, taking the first steps towards creating a more positive future for her daughter, but finding time to study while caring for a baby is another story all together. Also distracting her: she can’t get over Aubree’s father, Adam, who remains disconnected to her and his daughter.
Kailyn Lowry is struggling to balance work and school and the 50/50 split custody agreement she has with her son’s father, Jo Rivera. “It takes a lot to co-parent, but we’re trying to be as civil as possible,” Kailyn told Star earlier this year about their situation. “Our relationship is a roller coaster. There’s always a calm before the storm.” It seems like things are going pretty well for Kailyn, except for the rumors that she may have cheated on her current boyfriend, Jordan with her old one!
Despite critics of the show claiming that MTV is glorifying teen parenting by making celebrities out of the teen moms, Kailyn feels that’s not true at all! “It’s not glamorous in any way,” she insists. “If they actually pay attention, they’ll see that one of us is always crying and going through something.”
“I’m kind of like walking birth control for them!” she adds, saying that her friends have definitely thought about preventing pregnancy after seeing her struggle. “At least someone’s benefiting from it.”
And finally, Janelle. Oh, Janelle. Janelle and her mother Barbara Evans are at it again over her unhealthy relationship with on and off boyfriend Kieffer Delp, Janelle focusing on her son, and getting her life back on track. While Barbara clearly loves both her daughter and her gradnson her methods are a little… well, crazy!
MTV offers a glimpse of what viewers can expect to see this season and it’s not pretty, as Janelle and Barbara get into a violent altercation over Janelle sneaking around to see the jobless, law disregarding Kieffer. Barbara doesn’t mince words, telling her daughter: “That’s why you never go anywhere in life.” Tough love, anyone? A clip of the incident is below.
Teen Mom 2 premieres tonight at 10/9c on MTV.

The new season of Teen Mom 2 premieres next month and MTV is working overtime to make sure everyone wants to watch by releasing an extended trailer of what’s to come. This season will continue the lives of Kailyn Lowry, Leah Messer, Chelsea Houska and Jenelle Evansas they struggle to balance life, relationships and parenting toddlers!
Leah and Corey Simms experience difficulties in their marriage, particularly in the wake of daughter Ali’s medical issues. Ali will undergo an MRI to diagnose her developmental delays, while Aleeha takes her first steps. Corey will also discover that Leah cheated on him and after six-months of marriage when Leah files for divorce. The series will also show Leah dating again and moving on with her life.
Chelsea struggles to deal with her ex-boyfriend Adam Lind who refuses to step up to the plate for their daughter Aubree. Chelsea also reveals that Adam “angrily” took their daughter, leaving Chelsea to wonder “How could I like him so much and he likes me not at all?” Chelsea will also obtain her GED, meaning a better future for her family.
Kailyn’s bad luck streak seems to continue despite her hard work to create a better life for her son. This season she gets into a car accident and though Isaac and her were unharmed, Kailyn only has liability insurance making it difficult to pay for the repairs and get to work. Kailyn will also have relationship drama as Jordan is jealous that she is spending time with her ex, Jo Rivera! It appears the jealousy may be warranted because as Kailyn confesses to Jordan: “Things went a little further than they should have.”
Jenelle, will also, of course, have drama this season as she struggles to stop partying and focus on raising her son. Jenelle continues to fight with her mother BarbaraEvans, over her dramatic and unhealthy relationship with Kieffer Delp (who is back in jail again!) as well as the care of her son, Jace. Janelle also faces jail time for assault and ultimately checks into rehab to help get her life back on track.
Teen Mom 2 premieres Dec 6th on MTV (10/9c). The new season trailer is below –
So what can we expect on the new season? MTV promises the dramatic season will follow the girls as they try to navigate their way through life with toddlers in tow. The new season will “take viewers on an intense rollercoaster of highs and lows. As their babies take their first steps, these young moms struggle to balance life, love, and independence while striving to give their children the best life possible.”
Below is what to expect from each cast member —
Leah – Mother to twin girls Alianna and Aleeah, and her daughters’ father, Corey Simms have weathered many ups and downs as a couple, from trust issues to doctor visits for understanding daughter Ali’s slow development. However just before the twins’ first birthday, Leah and Corey made the ultimate commitment by becoming husband and wife. But soon after the honeymoon they realize that marriage isn’t as easy as they’d hoped it would be.
Jenelle – She continues to reconcile the responsibilities of motherhood with her love of partying. With the birthfather of her son Jace out of the picture, Jenelle relies heavily on her mother Barbara Evans. The two’s explosive relationship is amplified by the fact that Barbara has temporary custody of Jace. Through it all, Jenelle struggles to prove herself as a mom and responsible adult, but her party girl ways — and her trouble-maker boyfriend, Kieffer — keep leading her down the wrong path. When Jenelle and Keiffer get arrested, she must choose between changing her ways or continuing on a downward spiral that could quickly hit rock bottom.
Chelsea – Chelsea’s life has been consumed with taking care of her daughter Aubree and trying, in vain, to make her tumultuous relationship with Aubree’s father, Adam Lind, succeed. She still hasn’t graduated from high school, but Chelsea luckily has a strong network of support from friends and family to help her on the road to independence. As her emotional tug-of-war with Adam escalates, she finally gets the strength to call it quits, trying to move forward and focus on what’s best for her and her daughter. Her friends and family just hope she can stay away from Adam for good this time.
Kailyn – Is the mom of baby Isaac. Kailyn and Isaac’s father Jo Rivera’s relationship crumbled under the stress of balancing their lives and raising their child, and Kailyn moved out amidst their constant fighting. A romance with coworker Jordan begins to get more serious as she turns to him for emotional support during a bitter custody battle with Jo. Through it all, Kailyn keeps two jobs and goes to school full time, determined to better her situation for her son while navigating her complicated relationship with Jo and struggling to finally move out on her own.
The new season premieres on MTV December 6 (10/9c).
In the latest Teen Momnews, Leah Messer, the nineteen-year-old mother of (almost) two-year old twins Aliannah and Aleeah, and ex-wife of babies’ daddy Corey Simms, is moving in with her boyfriend Jeremy Calvert after a mere four months of dating.
It’s truly romantic, y’all…as the entire relationship move is documented–where else?–twitter! The big move happened yesterday, so I can only assume that now the lovebirds are settling in to their new nest.
Monday, Leah’s new man (??) tweeted, “@TM2LeahDawn one more day and we will have are own house baby ),” to which Leah answered, “@calvert505 I can’t wait!!!!”
It’s a fast move (literally!) in their relationship, but Leah is ignoring the haters. Letting her boyfriend twitterverse know, she exclaimed, “@calvert505 some just don’t understand! I’m happy and your happy, and I’m pretty sure we are above age and make our own decisions. Idcc! lol” She goes on to gush, “@calvert505 I loves you!!! I’m soo happy and that’s all that matters! Your great with the girls!” Yikes…poor Corey!
Not to be out-tweeted, Jeremy responded, ”@TM2LeahDawn i love you more!! and we are happy no matter what, you and the girls are my world!!!”
The young couple’s lovefest continued on the social networking site (Do they not have cell phones? Is texting now considered old school?), with Leah stating, “@calvert505 I couldn’t imagine being with anyone else! I truly believe some things fall apart so better things will fall together!” Wow, she really is quite the philosopher.
Leah even takes the time to address her ex, even though it comes off as a bit of a dig in favor of her new beau. She says, “Corey is their father and we will respect that for the sake of them! Jeremy know darn well my kids are first and foremost, and he best treat them like their his own even though…” Oh, Leah…
Yesterday morning the move began with Jeremy tweeting, “@TM2LeahDawn moving day )) I love you” Awwww.
“Jeremy driving the Uhaul! Bahaaaa!! Love himmmm<3″ Leah responded, tweeting (what else?) a picture of Jeremy driving the U-Haul. I’m assuming the move went smoothly, as Leah tweeted late last night/early this morning, “@calvert505 Your amazing babe! The best thing that’s happened to me since the girls were born! I <3 you!!”
It looks like things are looking up for Leah, who recently complained that MTV ruined her life. No word yet on where to send the sweethearts a housewarming gift…
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE COUPLES TWEETING? CUTE OR A WAY TO GET UNDER COREY’S SKIN? IS THE MOVE HAPPENING TOO SOON IN THEIR RELATIONSHIP?
Leah Messer is claiming Teen Mom 2, the show that made her rich and sort of famous has ruined her life. Well, until she cashes that paycheck! “It’s making her life hell!” a friend reports to In Touch.
One of Leah’s dilemmas? She never gets a break from filming! “The crew often shows up unexpectedly and stays for a weeks at a time,” a friend explains adding that Leah tells friends she feels like she’s on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Leah is also terrified about the dangerous effects the production could have on her twin daughters, Aliannah and Aleeah.
The friend reveals that Leah feels “the show controls her,” and according to her friend, she “thinks MTV is determined to make her look like a bad mom.” The friend reports that the MTV producers allegedly manipulate the drama and make too many demands of Leah and her daughters – including stunts such as waking the twins up in the middle of the night for filming! What?! “One of the producers is so rude to the girls which makes Leah’s blood boil!” reveals a source.
Issue #3? Apparently, the mom of twins, who still has two-years left in her MTV contract, worries the producers will edit her to be “slutty” on the upcoming season by drawing negative attention to her divorce and her expansive post-divorce dating habits. Leah reportedly went through many menz before coupling up with current boyfriend, Jeremy Calvert!
Additionally Leah has concerns that the network’s portrayal of her dramatic divorce from Corey Simms, which was surrounded by allegations of cheating, will negatively affect her daughters.
All valid points! Hopefully MTV will make the responsible decision to handle the implosion of Leah’s marriage with dignity. Although, my moneys betting on NO for that!
Teen Mom 2 will return to MTV for an all new season in December.

Thoughts on Leah’s predicament? Do you believe the show has ruined her life? Feed bad for her?
