Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller had a line of fans waiting to meet her and a book signing and Lisa Vanderpump filmed some scenes for RHOBH with husband Ken Todd. Also spotted: LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian doing interviews to promote their (epically failing) show.
Seriously!?!? That is all I could think of when I read the latest news about LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian. In a move that I can only assume was meant as a publicity stunt for their ratings-challenged reality show, LeAnn & Eddie, the terrible twosome is now sinking to a new level.
In the latest issue of Life & Style, Brandi Glanville’s ex-husband and his mistress wife explain that they told Eddie’s two sons about their affair. Seriously!?!?!
Eddie and LeAnn recently shared their Do’s and Don’ts of Reality TV with the world. I guess one does not need actual viewers to become an expert, because only 374,000 watched the premiere of LeAnn & Eddie. But, hey! Famewhores everywhere thank them for the survival list!
When asked why they chose to do a reality show, LeAnn shared, “We wanted to be home with the kids. That is one of the reasons we explored this whole world. This is us taking our lives back, in a way.” Translation: reality TV is easy money for very little work or effort.
The reality TV viewer numbers are in – and Real Housewives of New Jersey failed to draw a big crowd. The season 6 premiere attracted 2.14 million viewers overall. However, in the key demo, it was the lowest rated premiere episode in the history of the show. For comparison’s sake, season 5 premiered to 2.842 million and the season 5 average was 2.29 million.
Their reality show LeAnn & Eddie premieres tomorrow on VH1, but the network released an advance screening. The show is a so-called inside glimpse into the little known world of LeEddie. “Everyone thinks they know us,” Eddie saucily tells us, “but there’s two sides to every story.” I wonder how long it took Sir Genius to come up with that one?!
The premiere, titled “Fifty Million Ways To Leave Your Lover,” confronts allegations that the couple is headed for a $50 million dollar divorce because Eddie is cheating and LeAnn is crazy. They don’t expect us to believe that. But, um… too bad – cause we do! Because they are really trying to use this show to put on an act about how happy, in love, and honest they are.
With all the new and returning reality TV shows headed our way this summer, we thought we'd take a minute to weed through the mess and try to gauge which ones our readers are anticipating the most. There are so many to choose from that surely our DVRs are going to be smoking by July! That's assuming that most of you will be recording shows to watch in the evening since you'll be outdoors this summer, enjoying some fresh air, sandy beaches and fruity drinks. But of course you'll have your phone along on those long hikes and whilst lounging in your lawn chair so you can read Reality Tea while getting your exercise and rest, right? We hope so!
Making their debuts this summer are a slew of new shows that include Kandi's Wedding, Bachelor in Paradise,LeAnn & Eddie (unless VH1 cancels it before it even starts..), Ladies of London, Little Women LA and so many more! We also have a handful of returning shows – like Real Housewives of New Jersey (so excited!), Big Brother (voyeurs raise your hands!), Sister Wives, Don't Be Tardy and others.
Take our polls below to tell us which shows are at the top of your reality TV viewing list! And tell us in the comments which ones you're hoping that we cover here on the site.
Apparently VH1 wants to revitalize NBC's "Must See TV" Thursday. They are really pushing their "hot new summer line-up" for Thursdays, which includes Dating Naked, #CandidlyNicole, andLeAnn & Eddie and kicks off July 17.
Dating Naked? Awesome. Nicole Richie? No complaints here.LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian? Um, err, at least it's not Brandi! Obviously this line-up will go down in history books as the new The Cosby Show, Cheers, and L.A. Law or Friends, Will & Grace, and ER can't miss Thursday night!
Mark your calendars, my friends, because VH1 is where it's at this summer. To be clear: No – I did not type any of that with a straight face. But I am looking forward to #CandidlyNicole despite the hashtag. Also, T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle returns and Atlanta Exes premieres later this summer.
Even though the couple were reportedly shopping around a sitcom loosely based on their life, VH1 instead agreed to give them a reality show. You know we won't be able to resist this snarky bit of comedic, vomit-inducing gold waiting to happen.
