With the Oscars coming up on Sunday (but we'll be watching Real Housewives of Atlanta, of course), every organization is using it as an excuse to throw a party. OK! Magazine put out the welcome mat for a slew of reality TV stars last night – including practically the entire cast of Vanderpump Rules and their boss lady Lisa Vanderpump.
"I sadly watched tonight’s show and there is nothing I can say that can make the picture that was painted OK," Yolandawrites in her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills blog. "It seems like there was some master plan against Lisa going on, which is absolutely not what happened."
All Joyce Giraud wanted to do was bond with friends and see her family while mourning the recent loss of her father. Poor thing should've known better! After all hell breaks loose on the everyone versus Lisa front, Kyle is left confused by Brandi's story and Lisa's staunch denial. Y'all know I'm a Lisa fan through and through, but do I think she tried to get Brandi to bring those rag mags to the ladies' vacay? Of course I do. Was it catty? Sure, but that's how these women operate. That said, do I think that the Kyle/Brandi/Yo trio handled themselves like some sixth grade mean girls? Yup. I, for once, agree with Kyle (do I have a fever?)–had Lisa just played it off and admitted her part in a tasteless joke, the whole trip would have played out much differently.
"First, I have to give you the history of this contentious subject regarding Scheana. So two years ago, at the opening of SUR Lounge, Brandi was there. I knew her a little from her being involved in the show. I was wary of her as she said she was a friend of Cedric [Martinez]'s. We discovered later that was not true, but really, apart from that, had very little knowledge of her and her ex-husband."
"The group of staff who wanted to be in the pilot that is now Vanderpump Ruleshad already been assembled and were working that night of the finale party," Lisa recalls. "They were not mic-ed as they had no connection to that event. But I had to have servers and it seemed logical to put people in who were going to be comfortable in that situation."
I don't know what to think. Is this a 4-way gang up on Lisa Vanderpump? Or is this Brandi Glanville and Yolanda Fosterwere once on a Dream Team with Lisa and for some odd reason decided to split and take Lisa down by pulling others into the middle?
Meaning, that yes – Lisa was part of "tabloids-in-the-suitcase-gate" which is the new necklace-gate, which is the new-skipped-my-party-gate, which is the new stop-being-my-mama-gate which is the new ewww-get-my-husband's-mistress-out-my-plastic-face-gate, which is the new hair-flip-your-friends-talk-ish-about-you-gate, which is the new don't-talk-about-my-husband's-ALLEGED-cheating-gate. Basically we've come full circle and we're back to talking about Kyle Richardsand Mauricio's cheating, which NO ONE – I repeat NO ONE – cared about in the first place except Kyle who probably planted the stories to begin with!
Cedric shares via his rep, "Tonight’s episode shined the spotlight on Lisa and Ken’s habitual lying and viciousness. It would be easy for me to say “I told you so,” but that’s not my style. But I do want to clear up the nasty deportation rumor. Brandi is brutally honest and I love it. Most of the time she says exactly what everyone else is thinking. But sometimes she tells little white lies to amp up the drama. That's where things get complicated.
Cedric's side of the story: "It all started with the entirely scripted lie that "Me and Cedric are friends from modeling." The producers concocted the fib to get her on the show. Brandi, Lisa and I sold it, and the rest is history… Brandi's a star and I was kicked to the curb. At the time I was furious. I'd just been betrayed and fired because of Lisa's vicious lies. I was naïve; expecting Brandi to do the right thing and support me, as I had supported her. Instead, she dropped me like a hot potato. In hindsight, I'm O.K. with it because I know Lisa forced Brandi to cut me off."
Let me start by giving her a little credit – this is not a flattering picture, trust me that Brandi was looking good on the show last night. Her hair is a softer blonde now and that "filler puff" is going away a little more each time we see her. The photo angle is bad, but her outfit was cuter than it looks here and the color was good on her.
Ross starts off with: "Your ex-husband is suing you for…"
Ross: "Child support? So, you marry a big TV star and you give up your modeling career." As Ross says "big TV star" Brandi makes a face and sort of shakes her head "no" at that part and he asks about it. She says "then why does he want MY money?"
