After this week’s Little Women: LA, everyone and their brother has seen the 2012 of Christy McGinity Gibel’s video. And the drama that surrounds the video seems to be more about how Terra Jole used it against Christy than the contents of the video itself. But Terra is still feigning outrage over its contents, to be sure! In her blog, she claims to be “appalled” and “disgusted” by Christy lip syncing to a spoof song that utilized the word “midget” – a slur to the little people community.
First, Terra justifies why most of the episode centered on her book deal, and what the mission of her memoir will be. “This book basically takes you on a journey of my struggles, my experiences and how I turned out to be Terra. We talk about my childhood, crazy job experiences, Little Women, family and even Dancing with the Stars! Not everyone is going to like it, but some are hopefully going to love it.”
Remember a certain video Kim Kardashian leaked back in the day to launch her dubious career? Well apparently, Christy McGinity Gibel made one of those videos too! Except with way less skin, no sex, and a decidedly lower market value. So when Terra Jole decides to bizarrely out this old footage of Christy on this week’s Little Women: LA, Christy is offended – and rightly so, especially when Terra vaguely presents it as some sort of threat if Christy doesn’t sign her book release. Meanwhile, Tonya Banks is not having the best luck, as her dog is stolen, which, on top of the massive meltdownJasmine Sorge recently had on her, does not make for a great week in Little Boss’s world.
With Penny turning two, Terra and Joe Gnoffo are planning a big party. At home, they prep decorations as Tonya pops in to tell them her dog, Angel, is gone. She cries foul! Someone’s stolen her, says Tonya. But enough on that, as there’s party drama to discuss – drama between Tonya and Jasmine, that is. Tonya still doesn’t know what to do to make things right after Jasmine screamed in her face at her post-launch party. She apologized, so shouldn’t that be enough? As for Briana Renee’s beef with Tonya not including her in the fashion show, nobody cares.
This week we find out a few critical pieces of news on Little Women: LA. Like the results of Terra Jole’s biopsy (she’s fine), and that Tonya Banks actually has an activewear line! But tempers flare when Tonya leaves Jasmine Sorge and Briana Renee off of the guest list of her fashion show. Because Briana is a MODEL in her own mind high demand, don’t ya know?!? Elena Gant and Terra also face off after Terra was last seen storming out of Elena’s baptism party. In short: Everyone screams at everyone. Welcome to another season of Little Women Who Loathe One Another!
We begin on the pier, where last week we saw Terra telling Tonya and Jasmine about her abnormal mammogram. Tonya tears up, then flies into anger about Terra not telling her earlier. Jasmine says nothing. Although Terra wanted to share the news with Elena as well, things between them are fractured since the godparent debacle. Jasmine’s advice: Talk to Elena. Soon.
Terra breaks down the scene at Elena’s baptism, where she found out that Jasmine Sorge would be godmother to Elena’s boys. “Let me set the record straight — I am happy for Jasmine. I’m just hurt that Elena felt she couldn’t tell me. We previously cried about it at the ice-skating rink, and I told her how special that was to me. It’s more about a respect thing. She expresses how our friendship isn’t like it used to be, but this is an example of why!”
Last night, Little Women: LA delved into some painful topics, namely Terra Jole getting frightening news that she may have breast cancer. Elena Gant also hosts a party after the baptism of her twin boys, at which Jasmine Sorge announces that she and her husband Chris, not Terra and Joe Gnoffo, were chosen as godparents to the little wee ones. Terra does NOT take the news well, to put it mildly. Meanwhile, Christy McGinity Gibel is busy navigating life with her overbearing mom and daughter as she prepares for Todd’s gastric sleeve surgery.
Tonya Banks – who’s still imagining that her activewear line is ready to launch – is out shopping for baptism clothes with Elena. When Elena reveals who she’s chosen as godparents, Tonya seems shocked. And caught in a bind, as she already spilled the beans to Terra that Elena was thinking of choosing her. Ruh-roh. Elena is adamant that Terra’s priorities aren’t straight enough to be a suitable godparent though, and that’s that. So – this should all go over swimmingly at Elena’s upcoming baptism party!
Terra confesses, “I’m truly crushed that my relationship with Elena has faded. In the episode, Elena mentions that after Dancing with the Stars, we never talked like we used to, but the phone lines work both ways. We are both to blame for our lack of communication, but conveniently Elena is upset that I’m not calling as much. This makes it easy for her to appoint someone else as a godparent.”
OK, I just accidentally watched a Chuck Norris infomercial in its entirety (don’t ask!) and am prepped and ready to go on this here recap. On last night’s Little Women: LA, some alliances shifted while other friendships continued to circle the drain. Excited about her prospects as an author, Terra Jole meets with her publisher to work out the details. Guess who still has a problem with Terra or literally anyone pursuing another gig? Elena Gant! Our Official Season 6 Hater. (What happened to this chick? Seriously.)
Terra also unexpectedly finds herself relating to Briana Renee, as Briana navigates the frightening decision of whether to have baby Maverick undergo spinal surgery. Meanwhile, Christy McGinity Gibel finally battles back from the wreckage of last year (and most of this season, which has placed her on a very cold back burner) by accusing Briana of underhanded moves with her PR firm. Tonya Banks continues to browbeat Kerwin into taking their relationship to the next level – like unpacking his duffel bag, for example.
Newbie Mary Russell came and went in the blink of an eye on Little Women: LA. Perhaps she was only slated to be a temporary character, or perhaps the coven of witches other cast mates drove her off? In any case, Terra Jole expresses regret that Elena Gant and Tonya Banks, in particular, couldn’t give Mary more of a chance. Their extreme jealousy fueled arguments with the newest little woman right from the start.
Terra is glad to see that Jasmine Sorge and Elena have bonded at long last, though. “I’ve always said that Elena and Jasmine will bond. Now that that’s happened, I truly don’t feel like Briana will ever be close again with Jasmine. EVER! It’s a normal transition for your friendship to change especially when trying to negotiate your home life. Elena and Jasmine not only have their relationship, but the bond of their husbands.”
