It won’t be long before Claudia Jordan is on our TV screens again. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star announced the news on Instagram: “I can FINALLY share the good news about what I have been secretly working in. A new reality show that is going to change the way you look at reality television!”
The reality show – The Next 15 – is being produced by Carlos King, who also produces Real Housewives of Atlanta,Hollywood Divas, and Selling It in the ATL, and is filming in L.A. The Next 15 follows six “iconic” former reality TV stars who are – as the title suggests – looking for their next 15 minutes of fame.
It’s almost time for Althea Heart and Benzino to welcome “Baby Zino” to the world. And they’re preparing double!
First time mom Althea is due with a baby boy in the next few weeks and is getting everything squared away in advance – including clearing up any relationship drama with Benzino. Lately the once-tumultuous couple appears happy and focusing on parenthood. But, of course, they’re not completely abandoning reality TV!
The reunion begins with Joseline responding to her statement on an After Party episode that Mimi was her b*tch as well as Stevie’s. She reveals that the pair had a threesome together. Mimi doesn’t deny it, instead she just claims to be sickened by Joseline. Stevie reiterates his same old tired excuse that he had many foggy nights back in the day. It gets pretty intense as Joseline describes the encounter shared, adding that a lot of begging took place. Mimi clarifies that it wasn’t a threesome by definition. Instead, she and Joseline took turns with Stevie, but they were all present. Momma Dee interrupts to remind everyone that as long as you’re having fun that’s all that matters. Ariane never knew about this dalliance, but she’s proud of her friend for being so adventurous. Wasn’t a sex tape adventurous enough? Everyone claims it was a one time thing, and Joseline apologizes for her treatment of Mimi which Mimi seems to accept it. They agree that Stevie has been the root of their issues. Stevie thinks it’s going to be a great night for him–perhaps a replay that he’ll remember this time?
Nina Parker, formerly of TMZ and the Insider, is at the helm of this season’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Reunion. She can’t do any worse than hosts of the past, can she? In my opinion, she did a good job wrangling Stevie J., Joseline Hernandez, Mimi Faust, Rasheeda and Kirk Frost and crew, but we’ve got another hour next week to draw final conclusions! Off that bat, she begins last night’s first installment by introducing the major players. Thankfully the extras are “holding it down on the couches,” although there are several minor characters missing at this point.
In the finale episode, Stevie takes off to Los Angeles without his bride, but he and Joseline explain that they are “working through things” and happy. Stevie feels proud and healthy due to his sobriety and Joseline doesn’t see the need to accommodate him by curbing her intake…as she states, she’s not going to court. Joseline then turns on her co-stars, saying that if they are nice, she’ll be nice, if they act a fool, well…Nina highlights Joseline’s journey after her last reunion antics from reconciling with Stevie to NOT apologizing to Mimi. Joseline tells Nina that she was in the wrong for wiling out the last time they were in this situation, but everyone was ganging up on her. As for apologizing to Mimi, Joseline doesn’t think her husband’s ex needs to hold her breath. Stevie feels badly for pushing Joseline’s buttons when it came to her working without him, and Karlie Redd expresses her surprise at the bouquet that met the side of her face. Joseline instructs her to speak more loudly like when she bleeps bleep. Geez. Ariane challenges Karlie’s loyalty, and the two have a war of words. Oddly enough, the Karlie and Joseline agree that they could be friends going forward.
Althea and Benzino went back and forth last night, and then tried to delete the mess, but you can’t erase the internet. Althea started off by accusing Benzino of treating her bad, which set him off and they spiraled from there.
All good things must come to an end, and such is the case with this season of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. Last night was the finale episode and like a timeless classic, Joseline Hernandez unleashed her inner wackadoo (we’ve been waiting), and Stevie J. revisited the age-old love triangle that has made this franchise great. Is he revisiting a reconciliation with Mimi Faust? Lil’ Scrappy made an appearance at the Royal Wedding, and, oh yeah, Rasheeda and Kirk Frost were there too.
The episode begins with Jessica Dime insulting Mimi Faust at the showcase Mimi planned with an impromptu performance by Margeaux. After the song, a passive aggressive Mimi compliments Jessica’s song and dismisses Stevie. When Stevie takes offense to Jessica’s diss, Mimi starts to go off on her performer. Security circles in the event that Stevie loses his temper yet again, but luckily he just spews stripper insults. After meeting with a counselor, Kalenna is back in the studio, writing music to help her get through her post-partum depression. Her husband Tony Vick is proud to see his wife working through her struggles, and he hopes she’ll allow him to manage her career again. She’s more excited than when he actually proposed.
Last night was another phenomenal installment of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. Between Lil’ Scrappy threatening to overthrow Momma Dee’s monarchy just days before her wedding to Ernest to Stevie J. and the boys taking a fishing trip, it was one for the books. It begins with Kirk Frost surprising Rasheeda with a store front. He knows he’s been in the doghouse a lot lately, and he hopes it will put him back in her good graces. Rasheeda is over the moon excited by Kirk’s gesture, and she’s even more thrilled to learn she’s at one of the ritziest malls in the city. I’m guessing Lenox Square, and to that I say, good job Kirk!
As his mother’s wedding draws closer, Scrappy is summoned by his sister Jasmine who is still not on board with the nuptials. She breaks the news that Dee is getting married sooner rather than later, and she’s got Erica Dixon and Bambi as bridesmaids. Scrappy can’t believe his mom isn’t having a long engagement, and why is she putting his ex and his current boo in her wedding? They hate each other…not to mention, he and Erica aren’t on the best terms at the moment.
