The first Bethenny-less season of The Real Housewives of New York City finally came sputtering to an end- coasting on flimsy hopes and raw inertia ‘til the bitter, dusty end with Andy Cohen selling what’s left of it for scraps. It was a season of false promises, false reconciliations, and of course – false friendships, but never (wink, wink) false dramas. There were feuds, middle eastern nightmares, thugs in cocktail dresses, dueling sweet sixteens and dueling (un)fabulous forty-year-olds (and one pinot-sodden fifty-year-old), musical ineptitude galore, and Jill Zarin remaining the same old Jill Zarin – filled with a plethora of advice, snarkitude, and red-headed fury; proving that she alone will drive this jalopy ‘til it drives no more. Go, Jill, Go!
The Season Finale begins withThe Countess speaking (“Chic, C’est La Vie! Si bon! Si bon!”) to her music producer – naturally they are discussing what a runaway success her song Chic, C’est La Vie will become. Chris surprises LuAnn with a friend of his, who just happened to stop by – a friend who just happens to be Natalie King Cole.

On last night’s Real Housewives of New York, aptly titled “Video Killed the Countess,” it’s video time for Luann and her micro-managing sidekick Jill. Cindy forgets her manners with Sonja, and Silex hosts an art party. Ramona goes toe-to-toe with the Countess in a low blow passive aggressive smack down, and Alex may have been a “Fly Girl” in another life.
Luann meets with music producer Chris, video stylist “Jersey” and the poor director who clearly would like to be anywhere else. The Countess needs them to fully understand her vision, and what better way to do that than to keep repeating the phrase, “It always goes back to beauty, class and elegance lies within the soul.” In keeping with that theme, the video will be shot at a casino in Atlantic City, and there will be a Hummer involved. Luann is on board with A.C., but a Hummer? “You know what those are, right?” asks Jersey. Surely this part is scripted, but it’s hilarious nonetheless. The Countess replies, “When I think of beauty, class and elegance, I don’t think of a Hummer.” I bet Ross GellarJacques would beg to differ. Luann would prefer a jet to a Hummer, and the men, who appear to be legitimate music industry peeps, are trying to appease their newest star diva songstress wannabe rapper. When pressed by Luann about his opinion on her song, the director describes it as “great” multiple times, and I’m worried his head may explode.

On the 15th episode this season (the finale is next week), as LuAnn gears up for the making of her “Chic, C’est La Vie” music video, all the housewives aren’t quite on board with joining the party. Jill is ready for her moment in the spotlight, but Ramona doesn’t think it’s appropriate to participate since her daughter will eventually see it. Ramona doesn’t stop there as she calls LuAnn out on her questionable parenting skills and of course the ladies only get more dramatic from there.
The new episode airs on Bravo at 10/9c and a preview clip is below via UsWeekly.
Watch What Happens Live - Andy Cohen returns as host tonight with lone guest Jeff Lewis of Flipping Out. Woo hoo! Should be a great show. P.S.Am I the only one who thinks Andy and Jeff would make an adorable couple?
Meanwhile, Countess Lulu aka LuAnn de Lesseps announced this week that she has now launched her own mobile application. Yes you read that right.
The app, brilliantly named ‘Countess LuAnn,’ will offer amazing features such as Etiquette & Manners Tips, Soundbites, Etiquette & Manners Polls and Quizzes, and even a Table Settings guide! But there’s more folks as the app also offers “Ask the Countess,” where users can ask questions and get answers from LuAnn herself. Judging from her behavior on the show this season, LuAnn might want to invest in her own app asap!
For those interested in having LuAnn as your life coach, you can get the app at the Apple App store for $0.99!

LuAnn debuted her blonde hair last week during the premiere party for her latest video for the single Chic C’est La Vie. “I wanted to try something new,” said Lulu to Radar Online. “I’ve always wanted to be blonde. Every girl dreams of being blonde some time.”
LuAnn adds that she also made the change to look like a certain Miss Marilyn Monroe. “I wanted to look like Marilyn Monroe for a minute!” laughs LuAnn. “I’m definitely going to keep the new look for awhile.”
So does her beau Ross GellerJacques Azoulay approve? That answer is yes! “He’s having fun with this other woman,” she jokes. And the mane expert responsible for Lulu’s blonde hair, Ted Gibson, also spoke out on her new look. Ted believes this new look makes the Countess look much much younger. “I think she looks 20 years younger. It looks sexy and fresh,” said Ted. Uh uh.
LuAnn is pictured above with her two kids Noel de Lesseps and Victoria de Lesseps at the June 29 premiere of Cirque du Soleil ‘Zarkana.’
In other RHONY news, Jill Zarin made her acting debut yesterday on USA Network’s White Collar. Jill played a speed dater on the episode and according to critics, her performance was lackluster. Gawker describes Jill’s acting debut as “underwhelming,” and the Hollywood Reporter stated viewers were “bewildered” by Jill’s acting citing some of the twitter comments below –
Kiki (@kikinitwithkiki): “Jill Zarin on #WhiteCollar? Oh, Jill, don’t quit your day job. #RHONY”
Grace Yu (@graceyu): “Why is Jill Zarin on #whitecollar?”
Rachel Leigh (@TheRachelLeigh): “What the heck is jill zarin doing in an episode of white collar? Im a fan of jill but celebrity-wanna-be much? #sticktoyourdayjob.”
But we’ll let you be the judge. Below is the video of Jill’s cameo!

On the 13th episode this season titled “Your Tweeting Heart,” Sonja enlists the help of a feng shui expert to bring more positive energy into her life. Meanwhile, Ramona plans a surprise party for Sonja; Simon confronts Jill at Cindy’s product-launch soiree; and Kelly reaches out to Alex about what she deems to be Simon’s odd behavior. A preview clip is below!
Meanwhile, despite being off the show for almost a year now, it appearsBethenny Frankel’s former costars can’t stop talking smack about her. Though in their defense, she also talkssmack about them on occasion.
In a very recent interview, the always classyCountess LuAnn de Lesseps revealed she is more than glad Bethenny is no longer on the show. “I’m so glad she’s gone,” says Lulu. “Oh, yeah. Let her go off with her husband, off into the sunset. God bless her.”
The Countess then goes on to sing the praises of Kelly Bensimon, whom she feels has been spectacular this season! Are we watching the same show? “Kelly’s been amazing this season, and I think you see the true Kelly,” says LuAnn. “She got a really bad rap last season. Because, you know, it’s hard to battle against Bethenny.” Right because surely Bethenny is to blame for her breakdown.
And when asked why she is always “condescending” and “vile” towards the cast (the words of Alex McCord), LuAnn admits she can be harsh at times before taking a shot at Alex… of course. “People do say that — and I guess I can come off that way — but it’s not ill meaning or anything like that,” says LuAnn who calls Alex a “weirdo.” “I guess it’s just a different way of looking at it, and I’m not going to apologize for the way I am.”
And finally, Jill Zarin took to her facebook page yesterday to gauge the opinion of her fans. And once again, the question had to do with Ramona Singer. Jill, who accuses Simon of cyber-bullying her on tonight’s episode, asked her fans, “Do you want to read a letter from Carol about Ramona? In ep. 1 you saw Carol and the “Cigar Incident.” I have been asked to make this letter public by Cindy. Should I?” A number of the votes said no, and she has since deleted the poll question from her facebook page.
Cindy also tweeted yesterday, “I never requested anything; if I wanted something posted, I would post it.” Perhaps this is the reason Jill took down the poll. Some people things never change.
Also, Ramona posted a photo of herself yesterday with her daughter Avery as a baby. That photo is below!

LuAnn debuted her lighter hair color yesterday during the premiere party of her latest music video Chic C’est La Vie. Yes the Countess has yet to give up on her singing career. Joining Countess Lulu at her party were her former fellow Brunettes Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon and Cindy Barshop.
And in case you’re wondering, that is NOT a wig as she actually dyed her hair blonde with the help of celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson, the same man responsible for Kate Gosselin’s famous hair transition. LuAnn however had a bit of help with some extensions.
“I don’t know how long I will stay a blonde, but everyone should have the chance to live out a fun fantasy! If you want to try something, go for it!,” LuAnn posted on her facebook page. More pictures below of LuAnn and her fellow NYC Housewives at her party!
Meanwhile Jill and Kelly make a cameo in LuAnn’s new music video as Popeater reports Alex McCord and Ramona Singer declined to be a part of it.
The always classy Countess did not miss an opportunity to talk smack about her costars. “It was very disappointing that the other ladies wouldn’t be part of it. The other girls didn’t come, they didn’t think it was appropriate. I didn’t want anyone to feel like they were being excluded so I invited everyone. And let’s face it, I sing about them in the song,” said LuAnn. “They said it was not the right image they wanted to portray and I was like ‘excuse me, not the right image?’ Who goes out without their panties, another rubs her husbands naked chest on the show, please.”
Below is the new music video for Chic C’est La Vie!

It’s a non-stop party on Thursday’s Real Housewives of New York! Ramona Singer and Countess Luann gear up for their daughters’ sixteenth birthday parties, with Luann pulling double party planning duty to host a surprise party for Jill. After her bankruptcy announcement, Sonja flies under the radar while Kelly hangs with Victoria and Avery at their respective parties. Alex helps her husband kick his smoking habit by inviting a hypnotherapist into their home. Oh, and Simon at one point wears a dress.
This episode begins with a battle of the party planners, as both Ramona and Luann are planning their daughter’s sweet sixteen parties. Ramona and Avery are meeting with some planners, and as it’s her party (or so she thinks), Avery is giving her two cents about everything. She is totally her mother’s daughter. Meanwhile, elsewhere in Manhattan, Luann is telling her party planners that she doesn’t want “an over the top sweet sixteen” for her daughter Victoria. Yeah, after all the hype surrounding Victoria, I can understand the family wanting to lay low. Of course, Victoria and Luann differ about the number of guests to invite.

With the fourth season currently on the air, the NY Post reports the producers of the show are desperately trying to recruit a new cast of “beautiful, well-connected and wealthy women for the next season.”
This comes weeks after sources revealed the network was seriously considering replacing the entire cast which includes Jill Zarin, Alex McCord, LuAnn de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and others. The execs are reportedly trying to find women with more wealth and glamour a la the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
In fact the show producers reportedly asked two NY women, p.r. mavens Alison Brod and Di Petroff, to join the cast though they have both declined.
Bravo casting for the upcoming season of the NY housewives is not out of the norm as next season will begin filming towards the end of the summer. It is however unlikely that the network will replace the entire cast as we reported 2 weeks ago that the ratings for this season have been pretty good, even showing a slight increase from last year with Bethenny frankel on the cast.
My bet is on Bravo replacing one or two of the cast members, more than likely Cindy Barshop and Kelly Bensimon. The reasons? Well Cindy is self-explanatory and Kelly has been sorta sane thus boring this season.
In other NY news, a judge ruled against Sonja Morgan once again in her bankruptcy legal drama. After filing bankruptcy last year following a $7 million judgement against her, the NY Post is reporting Sonja lost a court battle in her bid to get her former lawyers to pay her millions for alleged malpractice.
Hannibal Pictures won the $7 mil judgement against Sonja last year after she failed to fund a John Travolta film, as she originally agreed. Sonja in return sued the lawyers who represented her in the case citing malpractice. However last Thursday, an arbitrator denied Sonja any payout.
“I don’t agree with the judgment. I’m shocked,” said Sonja to the Post. When asked how she will pay off the $7 mil debt, Sonja responded, “I don’t know. I’m a hard worker. I’ll survive. I’ve got to meet with my advisers.” In court docs, Sonja listed herself as a “television personality” with an income of $26,000 a month.
And following Jill Zarin’sbig revelation yesterday that Mario Singer shoved her during a confrontation, Ramona has come out denying Jill’s version of events. Ramona admits Mario confronted Jill about “making up stories,” about her but denies it ever got physical. And a look at the comments posted on the E! and PEOPLE.com stories show majority of fans do not believe Jill.
And finally RadarOnline uncovered some before photos of the Countess herself aka LuAnn including an old modeling pic, and those photos are below!
