The women of Basketball Wives L.A. are back and are as unhinged as ever.  At least a few of them are actual wives though, so it is an easier premise to swallow than its original counterpart…sort of.  All of the original players are back it appears, although Imani Showalter is missing from the credits and she is replaced by Brooke Bailey.

The show begins with a discussion between Wacky Jackie Christie and her long suffering time spouse and confidante Doug.  Jackie is worried about her daughter.  After the death of mother, she allowed her daughter to stay in Washington.  Jackie isn't sure how well she'll handle this whole "being independent" thing.  Doug reveals that Jackie's daughter has texted him a few times, and he thinks she's doing just fine.  Jackie starts rationalizing in a way that only Jackie can, blabbering on about sisterhoods and bonds and how easy it is for her to admit when she's wrong.  Jackie is ready to apologize to her co-stars, and she has come to the conclusion that she just can't help people who don't want to be helped…and that is all she was trying to do.  Again, sort of.

The ladies of Basketball Wives L.A. are back and more dramatic than ever!  The season starts this Monday, September 10 at 8PM ET on VH1.

Jackie Christie deals with letting her daughter go out on her own, and she's a bit unnerved to find out that her daughter has been in touch with Doug.  Given their interactions, Jackie is still as cray cray as ever.  You've got to love this woman.

Laura Govan is back in Los Angeles from Orlando with her new body and a positive outlook on her relationship.  Her sister Gloria Govan is working on her relationship Matt Barnes after an eight month break-up, and she's creating a cookbook.  The sisters pretend they haven't had much contact in the eight months since filming last wrapped.  Oh VH1, you are so subtle with the scripting!

Draya Michelle and Malaysia Pargo are also back for another season.  Malaysia has spent the interim in Atlanta, and her jewelry line is doing great.  Draya has been modeling up a storm, but she wants to focus solely on her bikini line.  This pair of friends is much more willing to give Jackie another chance than the sisters Govan

It’s getting to be that time again!  We can stop watching reruns and fillers, because soon our favorite reality shows, along with a few new train wrecks will be premiering.  VH1 has just released the premiere dates of three of its programs.

T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle will be returning on Monday, September 3rd at 9PM ET.  We’ll follow Tip (who may be the busiest dude in the world) as he continues to star in the Starz series “Boss” and prepares to film the movie “Identity Theft” with Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy.  As if that’s not enough, he’ll be promoting his new book and releasing his ninth album…all while filming his family’s reality show.

It won’t be long until we’re watching more insanity from the ladies of Basketball Wives: L.A.  Malaysia Pargo, the Sisters Govan, Jackie Christie, Imani Showalter, and Draya Michelle will all be returning to wreak havoc on VH1, but they will be joined by two new ladies to bring the drama.  And guess what?  Neither of them are the wives of basketball players.  How shocked are you? :)

VH1 has announced that Brooke Bailey and Bambi will become a part of the cast, confirming the rumors that have been swirling around.  Both are no strangers to the camera.  Brooke was on Wild-N-Out in 2007 with Nick Cannon, and she was featured on E!’s Candy Girls in 2009.  She’s also appeared in several rap videos including Lil’ Wayne’s “Lollipop.”

Yesterday it was reported that Imani Showalter was fired from Basketball Wives: LA after she was a no-show at new cast member Brooke Bailey‘s birthday party, which was attended by all the other ladies. VH1 actually started the rumor by speculating whether or not Imani would return on their blog about Brooke’s party.

Well in an EXCLUSIVE, Reality Tea has been told that not only is Imani definitely returning next season, but there’s a second new lady joining the cast!

Our source assures us that the only ladies not returning for season two are Kimsha Artest (who quit the show) and Tanya Young Williams (who famously blasted the show!). And although Imani is bikini-body ready, she just didn’t attend Brooke’s party for whatever reason. I’m sure the producers have a reason – or there is some serious fighting happening.

Basketball Wives LA is in the middle of filming and they are not going to be unseated in the drama department by the veteran BB hook-ups wives! Apparently there’s been many cast changes since last season, most notably Imani Showalter may be out!

Taking her place? Brooke Bailey! Sister2Sister reports that Brooke, formerly of E!’s “Candy Girls” reality show and former fling of NBA player Rashad Lewis, will be joining the cast as yet another woman who was never a wife! Even worse, Brooke was reportedly Rashad’s mistress who came between him and his pregnant girlfriend! All class, no trash there. Brooke is a friend of sorts of Draya Michele. More strikes against her!

Ready or not, the ladies of Basketball Wives LA will be returning for a second season!

The Insider is confirming that VH1 has greenlit an all new season though no date has been set on when it will return to airwaves. Sources reveal Jackie Christie will be returning despite the fact that her costars have repeatedly stated they want nothing to do with her. Can’t blame VH1 though because Jackie brings the cray and the drama!

Even better, Wacky Jackie is also reportedly working to get her own spinoff show!

“Jackie will have a full plate in 2012 as she prepares to release her new book aimed couples, and how to focus on intimacy. We’re also told she just shot a pilot for BET,” states The Insider.

Interesting. This, however, wouldn’t mark the first time Jackie’s had her own reality show as she and her husband, retired NBA player Doug Christie, actually had a show on BET back in 2006 titled The Christies Committed.

TELL US – EXCITED ABOUT A SECOND SEASON? WOULD YOU WATCH A JACKIE SPINOFF?

She’s the lady many fans love to hate. She adores her husband, despises pork and like it or not, generated a lot of buzz while earning the nickname Wacky Jackie.

Jackie Christie has a lot to discuss regarding the first season of Basketball Wives L.A., and while everything she says is coherent, I’m not sure we were watching the same show. In a recent chat with VH1, Jackie dishes on how she was portrayed, her confrontation(s) with the other women and how she believes that one day they will all be friends again. Good luck with that!

Highlights from her interview are below.

How do you feel about how the season went?

I feel ecstatic. There were ups and downs. Sometimes I didn’t know what to expect when episodes would come on. I said going in that I would wait until the end of the season to give my opinion, but I really think that here are messages in everything we do.

So, by the time things ended though, after Hawaii, and after the girls confronted you how did you feel?

I felt upset, more or less frustrated, and very disheartened. I felt betrayed, definitely, because I felt like the girls knew where I was coming from, and they were all coming to me asking for advice and I was mentoring them, trying to help them be better people. It got twisted up and misconstrued. All I ever said was let’s put it all on the table and talk about it and move through it. I felt like they all kind of cowarded out and didn’t really didn’t play ball.

How did you and your family come to the decision to do the show? Was anyone apprehensive about you doing it? Did Doug warn you?

[Laughs] When I first told him, he kind of took a step back for a sec, but as he thought about it he said, you know what? I think this would be a great thing for you to do. I think this will be a huge opportunity for you to get your message out there. I write books that inspire women and motivate women to do better things in their life, so he thought this would be a great idea to get my message out there.

How did your feelings for each girl change as the season went along?

When we first started I knew Gloria [Govan] and Laura [Govan], and they were like sisters to me. Then I got to know Imani [Showalter] and we became close. She started to become my BFF.

But you didn’t know her beforehand?

I did not know Imani beforehand at all, so I was really surprised that we had so much in common. We got along very well. She called me all the time; we would chat and talk and, you know, laugh. She was really fun. As far as Malaysia [Pargo], she’s another one who I was getting close to. She’s a Leo like I am. She really expressed how much she looks up to me. She’s also married. She’s one of the ‘wives’ on the show, so we had a lot in common. I would pretty much talk to both of them and kind of mentor them. We got close as the season went on. Draya [Michele]? I look at her like a little sister. She was funny to me. I was really starting to get to like her a lot as well.

Have you spoken to the women since your meeting at the restaurant?

No. I’ve seen Laura and Gloria. I’ve been to fashion events with them. So, I’m around them. There’s still that tension; I can tell, but yet we all know that in the end we’re all going to be friends, hopefully, but we have not hashed out all the differences at all. As far as the rest of them go, I have not talked to any of them. I’ve talked to Tanya [Williams] and Kimsha [Artest] for sure but they’re not involved in that whole conflict.

Did they watch the show? Do you know if they have an opinion of like what’s going on without them being there?

Yeah, I think that they well, Tanya, I don’t think watches it — or at least she tells me she doesn’t. Kimsha? I rather not disclose how she feels about it. [Laughs] But Kimsha is a sweetheart and she understands. She was a part of the show and, hopefully, will return and be a part of the show.

I know you said you’re not a s— -starter, but you’re a s— -finisher. Were you ready to throw down if it came to that?

Oh, definitely. [Laughs] I hate to say that but that’s just how I am. I’ve been a fighter my whole life.

Are you happy with how you’ve been portrayed? Because the final episodes are pretty harsh.

Yeah. So far, I’m like, “Here I am again taking the hits for everybody else.” I tell my fans and my followers on Twitter, “Hang in there. Stay with it!” I mean, nobody would want to hear “She’s a bully. She’s a psychopath. She’s all these different things.” I know that I’m a very confident and strong person. I know who I am and what I’m representing. Names don’t really hurt me that much to where it’s going to change anything. But I would have preferred to been edited like Draya was.

Draya was brought into the group as the girl who had to fight to get her way in, and now she comes off as the person who’s the least judgmental — do you think that that’s pretty accurate?

No, I don’t and Draya knows it’s not as well. I think that’s why today it’s good that there is a reunion and everyone gets a chance to express how they feel. I’m definitely not one to hold my tongue. I don’t have any personal issues against Draya. It’s not Draya’s fault. It’s not anyone’s fault. It’s the way that the ball bounced. Now it’s time to put it out there and let’s get to the bottom and the realness of what’s going on and whats the essence of who you are.

If there is a season two, do you want to do it?

[Laughs] I would definitely be open to discussing it. I’d love to do it, but I’d like to have some conversations first just to make sure that going in, I’ll get that opportunity for the world to know who I really am.

I have to admit, if I hadn’t watched the entire season I would think Jackie seems like a pretty down-to-earth chick from a quick read of that interview. Funny how that works, huh?
