As we count down to the season finale, Siggy is OK with her decision to leave and has no regrets. “I’ve never been so happy with my decision,” she says. “I made the right decision and I would do it all over again. I love Bravo and I love Andy Cohen but at the end of the day all the odds were stacked up against me and I chose my family.”
It’s been a minute since we’ve checked in with The Real Housewives Of New Jersey on Bravo, but oh boy, have things heated up behind the scenes! Since Siggy Flicker’s announcement that she’s leaving the show, social media and news outlets have been abuzz with what went down at the reunion – and what portion of that drama we’ll actually see. (Crossing fingers that a rogue editor somehow splices in the juicy stuff at the last minute!) Until then, we must travel back in time to the ladies’ post-Milan lives, which are just as much of a mess as they were pre-Milan.
Margaret Josephs and Siggy are now in open war after Siggy’s accusation that Marge was anti-Semitic. Siggy’s half-hearted (and delayed) response to Marge’s apology did nothing to cool the flames. Melissa Gorga is back in the strip mall trying to make Envy happen, despite the wishes of Joe Gorga. He apparently needs a waitress at the new pizza joint, and his only remaining name tag says “Melissa.” Teresa Giudice is living like it’s 2009 all over again as she turns up at Danielle Staub’s home to offer a
contractually obligatory apology to her dorters. Except one of the dorters doesn’t even want to see her! She’s like, Namaste away, crazy lady! Tre has trouble counting to two anyway, so she likely thinks all Staub offspring are present for the blessed event.
It’s a family-filled time of year for all of your favorite reality stars who have been posting a lot of photos in between Christmas and the New Year. It seems like everyone went on a family vacation this week… just in time to share some great photos for this week’s Instagram Roundup.
Siggy Flicker took her family to her favorite city in the world: Boca Raton for some R&R. Kyle Richards, Mauricio Umansky, Faye Resnick, and their families spent time in Aspen, Colorado. Bethenny Frankel soaked up some sun on the beach while former Real Housewives of New York star Kelly Bensimon showed off her bikini body in Miami.
Marge Sr. has become one of the most lovable characters on this Real Housewives of New Jersey season and she’s not even a Real Housewife. Margaret Josephs‘ mom steals the spotlight in every scene she is in and I find myself wanting to know more about her. She needs to be a Housewife next season. We’ve already had sisters and sisters in law on this show, so why not a mother and daughter? Marge Sr. is the most hilarious person on this show. It needs to happen.
Unfortunately I have zero pull at Bravo, but at least we all got to see Marge Sr. out on that double date with Margaret, Margaret’s husband Joe Benigno, and the accountant Steve. So did that work out? Is Marge Sr. playing the field? Is Margaret going to have a new step father? Inquiring minds want to know.
It’s an enormous bummer that this season of The Real Housewives Of New Jersey has been derailed into bitter accusations of anti-Semitism, especially after we hearty souls weathered the petty nonsense of cake-gate for so damn long! Can’t we just watch these broads make pasta in Milan, get confused about cathedrals, mispronounce some sh*t, and call it a day? Unfortunately, there’s unfinished business between the ladies to belabor…for ages.
Siggy Flicker continues her anti-Margaret Josephs campaign this week, initially refusing to accept Marge’s apology. But at least she and Teresa Giuidice share a tender moment while bonding over the loss of Tre’s mom, Antonia. Dolores Catania and Danielle Staub also try to walk the line of frenemy-ship so as to avoid lockup in Italy. While the women try not to get kicked out of eating establishments abroad, Joe Gorga has a heart to heart with his nieces back in Jersey. His message to them: Stop being Satan!
Some of the Real Housewives of New Jersey ladies may view Kim D as a cockroach (pronounced cock-A-roach), but she does certainly bring it with her cameo appearances. There’s no better way to get the RHONJ fandom on your side than to go against Kim D- and if it’s at a Posche fashion show, it is always iconic. We saw glimpses of the table-flipping Teresa Giudice from Season 1 of the show when she crashed the Posche Fashion show to confront Kim D about those cheating rumors.
Teresa spelling out “Posche” with a letter by letter insult aimed at Kim D was nothing short of legendary. Pushing that chair was just the cherry on top. Unfortunately for Teresa, she ultimately just gave Kim what she wanted: publicity for her store and increased attention on social media. Fortunately for the viewers, we will always have this scene to treasure. Margaret Josephs opens up about her first shake down and what the viewers did not get to see.
Most former Housewives do not admit that they still keep up with the Real Housewives show. I don’t know if it’s because they have bruised egos and don’t want to admit that they watch or because they really don’t watch the franchise anymore, but Brandi Glanville is not one of those alums. She is a very avid Housewives viewer and she has a lot of opinions about everything and everyone on every show. One person that she took major issue with was the New Jersey new girl Margaret Josephs.
For the most part, the audience is really warming up to Margaret (minus the initial shock from the pigtails), and I just figured that Brandi would be one of those fans who loves her since they both take pride in their unfiltered humor. Unfortunately, part of Margaret’s story line struck a very personal cord with Brandi. Nope, Brandi does not have a desire to run a lifestyle brand or rehash childhood nicknames or claim a friendship with Joan Rivers. This is actually a LeAnn Rimes-related issue.
We are in the middle of Hanukkah and just a week away from Christmas. This means that all of our favorite reality stars are attending holiday events, rocking holiday outfits, and spending lots of time with their families. It also means that they’ve shared a lot of photos- just in time for the weekly Instagram Roundup.
