Real Housewives of DC Recap: The White House Party Trashers

Finally! The episode we had all been waiting for all season aired last night as we finally got to see the Salahis crash the White House dinner party, or did we?

Overall, episode 8 of the Real Housewives of DC turned out to be a tad uneventful. Yes, I am aware that the Bravo cameras were not allowed inside the White House, but for some reason I expected more last night. Perhaps, more footage showing just how these two planned to crash trash the party would have sufficed. And oh yeah, as reported earlier today, the Salahis are threatening to sue their cast-mates if they ever refer to them as White House party crashers. So thanks to the genius suggestion of our reader Lisa, the Salahis will now be referred to as the White House party thrashers!

With that out of the way, let’s get right to the recap. Stacie finally decides to contact her birth mother’s son via facebook. I was a bit torn by the Turners’ decision. On one hand, I completely understand Stacie’s strong desire to find her birth father by all means, but on the other hand, I felt it was a bit unfair to involve an innocent party. However, Stacie is desperate so I guess desperate times call for desperate measures.

Preview Real Housewives of DC Plus Lynda Wants Michaele To “Get a Therapist!”

An all new Real Housewives of DC episode coming our way tonight.

On the episode titled Nation Building, we finally get to see the party crashers in action. Tareq and Michaele Salahi will be shown getting ready to crash attend the now infamous White House dinner party.

And even more shocking, this season of the DC Housewives will come to an end next week following the airing of the 9th episode. It’s safe to say the Salahis’ actions is bringing this season to a quicker end than originally planned.

On tonight’s episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the main guest will be the always funny Tina Fey.

In other DC news, yet another DC Housewife is speaking out against the Salahis. In a new interview with E! Online, Lynda Erkiletian gives some sound advice to Michaele.

“Get a therapist,” Lynda told reporters when asked if she had any advice for the controversial reality star. “I think it’s really unfortunate that people feel like they have to make things up to create a spotlight,” she continued. “I think it’s better to just work for it as opposed to making it up.”

And when it comes to Michaele’s multiple sclerosis announcement, Lynda attempts to be a little more diplomatic. “I was very surprised,” she said. “No one really knows what they’re making up, but I hope that she’s not using MS, something as serious as that, to sell a book. Even I would be shocked by that. I wish her the best and I hope that she’s getting proper treatment. She looks amazing so let’s hope that’s not MS being BS.”

The Real Housewives of DC Recap: The Phony Redskinette

This season of the Real Housewives of DC has had a theme, which is the phoniness of the gruesome twosome aka the Salahis. Whether it be the couple’s phony grapes, phony party invites, phony house hunting, and now phony cheerleading. If there’s one thing we have all come to know and “love” about the Salahis, it is that their phoniness knows no bounds.

This episode of the DC Housewives begins with the now separated Ommanneys browsing through photos for Cat’s book cover. The scene starts out as a cute scene between the couple, until Cat decides to ask Charles about his upcoming schedule, which gave us a glimpse into the couple’s marriage. Based on Charles’ schedule, it’s all but obvious these two are lucky to even spend a day a week together. Cat’s definitely not exaggerating when she states she sometimes feels like a single mom.

The hilarity begins in the next scene with the Salahis. We see Michaele shaking her phony pom poms in preparation for the Washington Redskins cheerleading alumni dance routine. Michaele arrives at the practice in a white SUV, and not the awful 80s white stretch limo, thank goodness. Immediately, we see Michaele looking rather lost and completely offbeat while attempting to do the routines. Judging by Michaele’s lack of rhythm, and her overly eager attitude, it’s all but obvious we’re watching a 44-year-old con artist live out her fantasy of being a professional cheerleader.

Preview The Real Housewives of DC Plus Bravo Denies Firing The Salahis

This season of the Real Housewives of DC continues tonight with the 7th episode titled, “Perception Gap.”

On tonight’s episode, Cat works on her book cover. Not to be outdone, the Salahis try to publish their own book. Later, a showdown leaves Cat in tears; parenting issues plague Mary; and religion and politics collide for Stacie.

The new episode airs 9/8c on Bravo.

In other DC news, Bravo is now denying the report that came out last week stating the Salahis would not be returning next season. In a statement to Popeater, the same site that broke the news, Bravo states no cast changes will be made until a second season is green-lighted.

“We’ve had no discussions about a season two — including any casting — and won’t until the freshman season concludes,” a Bravo spokesman states. “Any speculation to the contrary would be absolutely premature. And let’s face it, it wouldn’t be a proper ‘Real Housewives’ franchise without the drama of casting rumors.”

So there you have it folks, the gruesome twosome might be returning next season.

The Real Housewives of DC Recap: “$100,000 Home Or $12 Million Home”

The 6th episode of the Real Housewives of DC titled “Securing Homeland” (love all the DC puns by the way) aired last night and the above photo of Mary pretty much sums up my reaction throughout this episode.

The episode starts out with Mary and Cat bonding over the topic of their children. Cat, who is now separated from her husband Charles, expresses that she sometimes feels like a single mother because Charles is away often. Mary explains her struggle with trying to keep her daughter Lolly away from her closet, as she brings up the lock she put on it. In her interview, Mary makes it clear that Lolly is completely innocent of being involved in the theft Tareq accused her of. Mary then proudly proclaims the only thing she has to worry about is Lolly breaking into her closet. Must say if keeping Lolly out of her closest is Mary’s biggest issue with her daughter, then Mary should be a happy mother.

In the next scene, the hilarity in the episode begins as we see Michaele calling up Stacie to discuss hiring her as a real estate agent because she and Tareq are ready to fake pretend to want to buy a home, you know, just as long as the cameras are rolling. Stacie mentions in her interview that things with the Salahis are a bit awkward thanks to the Winery dinner from hell, but Stacie is all about her business, and is willing to overlook the overall shadiness of the gruesome twosome.

Preview The Real Housewives of DC Plus Bravo Is Done With The Salahis

A new episode of the Real Housewives of DC coming our way tonight.

On the sixth episode this season, titled “Securing Homeland,” Mary and Cat connect over parenting issues, while family dramas haunt Stacie, who hopes to find her biological father. Elsewhere, Cat copes with the death of a friend; Michaele searches for a new home; and Tareq’s family troubles escalate.

Also on tonight’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, the two guests will be Ramona Singer and Cat Ommanney.

In other DC news, Popeater is reporting today that Bravo is oh so over the Salahis, adding that the Salahis are the only cast members of the DC Housewives to not be invited back for another season.

“The DC show is the only show in the entire franchise that isn’t a true hit,” an insider tells Popeater. “And the Salahi’s are the biggest reason for that. At first, execs thought they struck gold with all the attention the couple got over the White House dinner. But now they realize not all press is good press and this couple’s involvement in the show has turned more viewers off than on.”

According to Popeater, the final straw with the Salahis came this week when they alleged in their new book that Bravo’s “iron-clad” contract didn’t allow them to talk to the media about the White House-crashing incident. Bravo was apparently not happy with this claim, that they had to release a statement denying the allegation.

An unidentified Bravo housewife tells the site, “They are a loose cannon. Now, Michaele has revealed she has multiple sclerosis; next she’ll be announcing she is pregnant with triplets to get attention.”

The Real Housewives of DC Recap: The Gruesome Twosome

Following a one week hiatus for reasons unknown, the Real Housewives of DC returned last night with the airing of the 5th episode of the season, titled “Special Interests.“

The episode began where we left off two weeks ago, with Tareq Salahi about to drop a bomb on Mary Amons, you know, because when you invite people over for dinner, confronting them over asinine issues and accusing their daughter of a crime is always the way to make them feel right at home and comfortable.

Tareq begins to tell a story of how a $90,000 car and $30,000 worth of polo gear was stolen from his charity. Tareq then drops a bombshell when he tells Mary cops have informed him that her daughter, Lolly Amons, was an accomplice to the crime based on some facebook postings she had made, admitting to enjoying a joy ride. And I have to ask myself, is this really the time or place to bring this up?

Preview Real Housewives of DC Plus Mary Speaks Out On the Salahis’ Accusation Involving Her Daughter

After a hiatus last week, a new episode of the Real Housewives of DC is set to air tonight.

Coming up on the 5th episode of the season: A fun vineyard grape stomp turns sour when Michaele and Tareq make upsetting accusations about Mary’s daughter. Meanwhile, Cat tries to get a political party fired up.

RadarOnline is reporting that in tonight’s episode, Tareq will accuse one of Mary’s daughters of being linked to the theft of his personal belongings — polo gear — a claim that Mary denies to the site.

“It was very upsetting and disturbing to have your daughter falsely accused of something,” Mary Amons told Radar. “What was so upsetting, they actually don’t accuse her any crime, but being friends with someone who wronged them. She made a Facebook comment about whatever happened — it was a benign comment, which you will see.”

It seems the fact that the Salahis decided to drag her daughter into something that happened years ago isn’t sitting too well with Mary. “I don’t care if it was true or not, but the fact that these people decided to bring something up that ‘apparently’ occurred years ago and to link to my daughter, I think was unfair. To put this on national television speaks to their character,” said Mary, who shares she has developed a close bond with all of her castmates with the exception of Michaele.

And finally, the Washington Post is reporting today that Mary and her husband Rich Amons have put their home up on the market. The asking price? $2.35 million. Let’s hope all is well financially with the Amons, because putting one’s home on the market is usually a sign of financial hardship when it comes to Bravo housewives.

Also returning tonight is Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. The guests will be Teresa Giudice and Stacie Turner. Should be a good episode to watch.
