Basketball Wives L.A.’s star Draya Michele is often referred to as a groupie. Now she may be adding movie star to her resume…”home movie” star, that is.

Friday, per the usual, Draya was tweeting up a storm as she got ready for an evening out on the town. Things then took a drastic turn when Draya revealed that she has an intimate home video that may be surfacing. “So someone is threatening to leak a very private movie,” she says, noting, “There’s only 2 people in possession of it and I am one.”

Draya went on to thank her supporters and issued a “pre-apology” to her family. “I just wanna pre apologize to my family, my son, my friends, and my supporters. We live in a very cruel word… I always assumed it was love that drove certain individuals crazy…. Come to find out it was MONEY and the want for it the whole time,” wrote Draya.

There has been no mention of the tape since, and Draya seems to be forgetting her troubles while partying in West Palm Beach. A screenshot of her tweets is below -

Meanwhile, Gloria Govan is taking the news of her ex-fiancé’s new personal life in stride…you know, those rumors that he has been getting more than a little cozy with Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria. In an interview with Sister2Sister, Gloria opens up about the toll the show took on her relationship with Matt Barnes, her future dating life and those pesky stories about how quickly Matt has moved on…

While Gloria doesn’t blame the show for the demise of their relationship, she does believe that editing didn’t paint a true picture of the kind of fiancé she was to Matt. For example, when she told her sister that Matt “can bounce” if he’s not happy with how she does things, Gloria claims that the scene made her look disrespectful to her mate. She admits, “That was a heartfelt conversation between me and my sister. I was on the verge of tears. They didn’t show all that. That’s not how I feel. I actually kinda like him.”

Of the show, Gloria says, “I think it definitely brought on added stress to our relationship. We’re filming five days a week for hours at a time. That brings on added drama and added stress. The show wasn’t the reason Matt and I have gone our separate ways, but it has added some unnecessary drama.”

However, while Gloria seems to choose her words carefully in regard to her ex, she’s skeptical of his denial that anything is going on between him and Eva Longoria. She jokes, “Dang. I haven’t even been out of the house for a month.” She insinuates that the rumors are true, stating, “Those are the things that float around that start to get to you in your relationship. I know he denied it, but I don’t really know too much about that situation to say it’s not true, but I don’t know enough to say that it is. It wouldn’t surprise me.” Hmmm…is she implying it happened before they split?

She continues, “I’m not sure if I think they’re rumors. I think at this point having been with Matt, I don’t really put anything past him. He hasn’t directly said, ‘I’m doing this. I’m doing that.’ I’ve heard from some sources that it could be a definite possibility.”

While Gloria says she isn’t dating yet, she isn’t opposed to pursuing a new relationship. She reveals, “At some point in time when I am starting to look to seriously date, it could be a celebrity or another athlete from another sport.” No basketballers? Gloria asserts, “I’m attracted to athletes, but I have enough respect for Matt not to date one of his colleagues.” Plus, I’m guessing she’d rather have a celebrity.

Well, as nice as that is she does get in a few digs…perhaps aimed at Eva or maybe castmate Draya Michele. Gloria muses, “If you continue to date athletes, you’re going to be considered a groupie. At some point in time, you have to have respect for yourself and not dip into the same cookie jar.”

DO YOU BELIEVE THAT THERE IS ANY TRUTH TO THE MATT BARNES/EVA LONGORIA RUMORS? WHAT DO YOU THINK OF GLORIA’S INTERVIEW? ARE YOU SHOCKED TO HEAR THAT DRAYA HAS A SEX TAPE?

Once again, there is trouble in paradise for one of the ladies of Basketball Wives LA.

Last week, Lakers player Matt Barnes announced his split from fiance Gloria Govan. The couple’s highs and lows have been well documented off the VH1 show, and prior to breaking up, the pair had postponed their wedding indefinitely. In a new interview with VH1, Gloria eats some humble pie opens up about her thoughts on the split and her outlook on the future.

When asked to discuss what led to the split, Gloria explains: “It hasn’t been an easy ride moving across the country twice, having kids at 21 when I just graduated college, it hasn’t been easy. And now Matt has the lockout, so everything has been stressful with the breakup, the lockout, everything, it’s been a whirlwind. But we’re still friends and we’re still working things out and I wish him nothing but the best.”

She adds, “Matt and I do have kids and we’re trying to be as cordial as we can right now and we’ll be in each other’s lives forever, but as relationships go, we have our ups and downs.”

As to whether Gloria wants to “sow [her] oats and date other people,” Gloria says that she couldn’t even if that is what she wanted to do. She clarifies, “I think that’s a lot of people’s assumption, that oh, she wants to f— around and f— everything because he did and it’s like NO… I’m just going to take this opportunity to take a step back and reevaluate where I wanna go in life. And I think I have a long way to go to make my mark in feature films and in my community, but I’m happy. I’m happy with where I am now.” Um, feature films? Perhaps she should get in touch with Eric Williams

Her sister Laura Govan doesn’t think it’s the end for the couple, and Gloria admits, “My whole family is rooting for that man. I swear. They would pick him over me. I’ve learned my lesson, never say never and I think anything is possible, but right now I’m taking my time to grow as an individual. Not only for myself but for my family. We’ll see. I’m not going to say never, I’m optimistic, but for now…we’re going our separate ways.”

So does Gloria feel like she and Matt could make it work in the future? Gloria says, “Anything is possible but am I looking at them like ‘Yay, we can get back together because Laura and Gilbert have fluctuated so much and they are back together?’ No. I look up to my sister, I think she’s a very strong person but in terms of relationship, I’m walking to my own drum here.”

That’s probably a good attitude to have, as word on the street (and in the New York Post) is that Matt is already moving on…perhaps with actual feature film actress and Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria.

The Post is reporting that Barnes was spotted in New York City a few days ago dining with the starlet at Il Mulino in Greenwich Village. The pair was joined by two of Longoria’s friends. While pals say Eva is still very much dating Penelope Cruz’s brother Eduardo, sources at the restaurant reveal, “There was definitely a spark between Eva and Matt. They weren’t seated next to each other, but you could tell there was something between them. There was a little hand-holding over the table and a lot of eye contact.” Hand-holding, eh? Sounds serious!

Eva’s rep (finally, a star that should actually have one!) attempts to squash romance rumors, telling the magazine, “Eva and Matt are friends and are working together doing charity work for Eva’s Padres Contra El Cáncer. She was at the dinner amongst her other friends.”

However, this isn’t the first time the duo has been spotted together. In fact, Matt partied with Eva and comedian George Lopez on October 16 at Club Nikki in Las Vegas. Eva even featured a picture of the crew on her twitter page. That photo is below. Vegas and NYC in the last two weeks? It seems like this lockout has turned Matty into quite the jet-setter!

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MATT”S NEW “FRIENDSHIP” WITH EVA LONGORIA? DO YOU THINK HE WILL WORK THINGS OUT WITH GLORIA GOVAN?

It’s official, Gloria Govan and Matt Barnes have broken up.

Following the cancellation of their wedding last year which was followed by Matt’s arrest for domestic violence (the charges were eventually dropped), the Basketball Wives LA stars have decided to end their relationship and engagement.

Matt confirms the split in a statement released to the LA Times. “I’d like to address the rumors surrounding mine and Gloria’s relationship,” Matt’s statement read. “We have reached the difficult decision of ending our relationship and will be going our separate ways at this time. We will work together to raise our sons and wish each other only the best.”

Matt and Gloria have two kids together — 2-year-old twins Carter Kelly and Isiah Michael. The LA Times also adds that it’s unclear on whether the former couple will be dividing their assets, which includes their Palos Verdes home.

There were signs that this breakup was coming as just weeks ago Gloria admitted her relationship was not perfect, even revealing the two had been in couple’s counseling.

And just last week, a fan tweeted to Matt that he should marry Gloria or else someone else will. Matt responded: “He can have her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Yikes.

Gloria has yet to comment on the split though she did retweet this on Saturday: “If someone is dumb enough to walk away, be smart enough to let them go. Your destiny is never tied to anyone who leaves you.”

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON THIS BREAKUP? ARE YOU SURPRISED?

UPDATE – Gloria is now confirming the breakup via her twitter page. She tweeted: “I’m sure you guys are hearing a ton of buzz about Matt and Me breaking up, sorry to say… its true!!!” She later added, “But the most important thing is focusing on my kids and continuing to have a good relationship with their father, thanks for your support!!!”

Basketball Wives: L.A. is anything but a quiet walk in the park. Viewers haven’t seen Kimsha Artest since the second episode, and sisters Gloria Govan and Laura Govan are always at the center of the show’s ever-stewing drama. Below, all three ladies discuss their stake in the show.

The Govan sisters, who are still very much in the drama on the show, are dishing as to what is yet to come this season. In an interview with HollywoodLife, Gloria Govan discusses her relationship with fiance and L.A. Laker Matt Barnes, while her sister Laura teases about what’s happening in later episodes.

Gloria explains her love of Matt, saying, “A lot of people assume my relationship is perfect, although I don’t ever recall [claiming it is]. You get a great 3D view of our relationship this season. You’ll see us going to therapy. I think a lot of people will be surprised and confused, but that’s where our relationship was.”

REPORTER SAYS DRAYA LIED ABOUT POLICE REPORT!

She also discusses bringing the controversial Draya Michele into the group, a groupie jump-off lady Laura Govan isn’t going to be biffles with any time soon. Gloria elaborates, “I kind of feel like with Draya it’s sleeping with the enemy. I feel like she has potential to be a really cool person, if she got her priorities straight. She’s not someone I would call to go to lunch, but I don’t want to body slam her.” Well, that’s kind of nice, right?

Laura agrees, asserting, “You’re going to get surprised. It’s almost like a Lifetime movie. You’re going to be like, ‘What the hell?’ You’re going to be like, ‘Laura’s so shady.’” Who thinks that? Everyone? Laura reveals, “You’ll go through a couple weeks when you think everyone’s crazy. Then its all going to come full circle.” She also wants viewers to know it’s not all about cage-boxing and cat fights. She says, “I do want to get some key things out — like, we run foundations. We do things for shelters. Besides all the drama, there are a lot of things we do do as women.”

Laura continues, “I wasn’t on this show to be famous. I wasn’t trying to win an Oscar. I’m not sure if I’d do a second season if asked.” Well, there’s good news…she’s not expecting an Academy Award for her work on this reality show. Further, I’m glad to see she’s taking a page from the Bravo Housewives play book and saying she may not want to do another season. If she’s not asked back, it will be imperative she has these statements printed so it doesn’t look like she was fired.

Gloria, on the other hand, isn’t going anywhere if season two is a go. She exclaims, “I hope we get offered another season. I would jump on the opportunity.”

Bad editing or drama-avoiding no-show? If you’ve been following the craziness behind Basketball Wives: L.A.’s Kimsha Artest’s absence from recent episodes, the viewers may finally have a resolution. While stories swirled that Kimsha had gotten the freeze-out from producers, she is now insisting that she didn’t get cut out of the show. Instead, she maintains that she took herself out of the drama because she didn’t want to be associated with such cattiness.

In an interview with BlackSportsOnline, Kimsha explains, “I don’t want to be affiliated with the shenanigans, the drama, the back and forth…it’s uncalled for, it’s childish, and it’s just not me.” She goes on to explain the fake Facebook fallout, stating, “Anybody who read that could have known that’s not me. Period.” As for legal ramifications with the faux page, Kimsha continues, “We’ll definitely figure out who it is. I’ve got a good idea, but I ain’t gonna blow them up just yet.” When asked if there is any truth as to the rumored beef with her and Miami’s Shaunie O’Neal and Evelyn Lozada, Kimsha replies, “I don’t know Shaunie. I don’t know Evelyn. What beef?”

The producers of the VH1 spin-off seem to be on the same page, relaying that Kimsha wasn’t edited from the show, instead she just stopped showing up to film. While the show’s creators may not agree with how Artest left, they are corroborating her side of the story. The producers issued a statement saying, “When Kimsha Artest signed on to be in ‘Basketball Wives: LA,’ we were very excited to have her onboard. That is why we were confused and disheartened when after a limited number of days shooting she stopped showing up for filming. This is the sole and only reason Kimsha has not appeared on more episodes of the series. Her minimal coverage on the show was entirely her decision and not that of Shed Media, VH1 or Executive Producer Shaunie O’Neal. ‘Basketball Wives: LA’ continues to be a ratings success for VH1 every Monday night.”

Now that we’ve solved the mystery of the absent cast member, a new episode of Basketball Wives: L.A. (sans Kimsha) airs tonight at 8PM ET on VH1.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF KIMSHA’S STATEMENTS? WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE A SECOND SEASON OF BASKETBALL WIVES: L.A.?

It seems whenever there is a mention of the ladies of Basketball Wives: L.A., it involves drama. And why wouldn’t it? Since the show started, there have been catfights, rumors of infidelity, accusations of child endangerment…and we’re not even half way through the season!

Gloria Govan is a sharp-tongued character who has been at the center of the craziness since her time on Basketball Wives: Miami. She is engaged to L.A. Laker Matt Barnes, the only “husband” still playing in the NBA. The couple, who have two-year-old twin boys, have battled their fair share of rumors in the past. In a recent interview with Essence.com, the pair hoped to shed some light on their normal lives while silencing the haters.

Matt has his own take on the show. He says, “We originally thought the show was going to portray women stepping out of our shadow and raising kids and their day-to-day activities, but they’re showing red carpets, fights, drinks in the face, and girls sleeping around. I’m the sole representative of the NBA as far as the show is concerned, so everyone’s kind of looking at you crazy. I do it in support of her, but if it were just for me, I wouldn’t do it.”

Of Gloria, Matt reveals, “She can hit the red carpet, but then she’s at home with two pigtails taking care of the boys and making dinner and cleaning up — really [I want viewers to know] just how real her life is. She really is a mom just like everyone else out there. She’s also a high school basketball coach and she does a lot of regular things you don’t see.”

Gloria also sings Matt’s praises, stating, “We’re super sappy. We’re into the rose petals and candles and balloons. He leaves me notes everywhere — like in my car, my purse, and places I would never think to look in, like my sunglasses case — and then I just find them throughout the day. They’re really brilliant notes.” She continues, “He’s always encouraging and supportive. He’s so cute.”

The couple recently postponed their wedding. Gloria admits, “I’m just, like, still not there yet. The last thing I want to do is put him in a headlock and drag him down the aisle. If the wheel’s not broke… why fix it?” She explains, “We’re comfortable with where we are in our relationship. We’re really solid and we’re happy. That’s why we canceled our wedding in the first place, because we realized it wasn’t for us — it was for everyone else. It was for friends, family, viewers, everyone. That was probably the best thing we could have done.”

As for backlash from viewers, Gloria reveals that sometimes she lets the negativity get to her. She says, “People on Twitter can be very hateful. People will tweet me something so cruel at like 8 o’clock in the morning. I try not to read it at all. I feel bad because there are some really cool fans and stuff, but you know, by the time I get to reading them I’m already upset and have a bad attitude.” However, Gloria doesn’t have much time to worry about the drama, as she reveals she’s hoping for a spot on next season’s Dancing with the Stars. The show doesn’t want Bravo housewives, do you think it will cast the VH1 variety?

Meanwhile, Gloria’s cast mate is going through a very devastating ordeal. We all watched last week as a heartbroken Jackie Christie had to Skype in her ailing mother to her sixteenth wedding to husband Doug.

Jackie and her sister were coping with the doctor’s news that their mother’s cancer had spread and she wasn’t responding to treatment. Sadly, Jackie’s mother passed away last week. She revealed the tragic news in an interview, saying she was glad her mother was able to see her marry Doug a sixteenth time before her passing. Jackie also explained that she and her daughter, Takari, who has publicly bashed her mother’s parenting skills, are resolving their issues. I’m glad they are working on their relationship, especially in light of their recent family tragedy. My thoughts go out to the Christie family.

A new episode of Basketball Wives: L.A. premieres tonight at 8ET on VH1.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF GLORIA AND MATT’S INTERVIEW? WOULD YOU WATCH GLORIA ON DWTS?

Basketball Wives LA Los Angeles

Basketball Wives L.A. premiered last week to not only high ratings, but a ton of drama!

The L.A. cast wasted no time as a physical altercation occurred on the premiere episode! Laura Govan and Malaysia LaQuisha Pargo came to blows after Laura referred to Malaysia as a “rat.” Even more shocking, Laura had just given birth to her fourth child 3 weeks earlier.

In a recent radio interview, Laura’s little sister Gloria Govan reveals she was “upset” about the fight. “Ooh, I was so upset. But you know when I realized what it was really about, I couldn’t really be mad at her. She was going through so much stuff,” said Gloria about her sister. Gloria also promises that fight will be the only physical altercation on the show. How disappointing!

When it comes to her relationship with fiance Matt Barnes, Gloria admits the 5-year romance hasn’t been perfect. This was clearly evident following Matt’s arrest last year for domestic violence. Even more surprising, she doesn’t deny that he’s never been unfaithful to her. “I’m not gonna sit up here and be like, ‘No, you know he’s perfect and we’re fabulous’… it’s never been in my face,” said Gloria.

The rumor today is that Matt might have dumped Gloria. Below is more gossip and secrets about each of the Basketball Wives L.A. cast member as well as their bios!

A new episode of Basketball Wives L.A. airs tonight on VH1 at 8/7c.

Draya MicheleDraya Michele – Draya is currently a model and aspiring actress in Los Angeles with several music videos and magazine covers to her credit. A controversial beauty with a history of dating players, the funny and engaging Draya says “I have a million haters. I open the list of haters and it rolls across the floor.” No word yet if any of the new LA wives make that list.

Gossip - Before joining Basketball Wives LA, Draya (real name Andraya M. Howard) had a pretty poor reputation as being a big time groupie. One who has allegedly slept with a ton of athletes, rappers, and entertainers. The former stripper is from Philly and is also a single mother of one. Draya, 25, actually lost custody of her 7-year-old son earlier this year after she was arrested for child endangerment. Her son called 911 and told cops he was being left home alone on a regular basis. Draya also dated R&B singer Chris Brown just last year.

Basketball Wives

They’re baaaack! Though VH1 has yet to announce the official premiere date for Basketball Wives season 2, a four minute preview clip has been released.

And judging from the video preview, there will be no sophomore jinx with these ladies. In fact, there is a new housewife on the block with the addition of former NBA wife Tami Roman, who used to be married to Kenny Anderson. If Tami’s name sounds familiar to you, it is because she was on MTV’s The Real World LA back in 1993. The preview clip is below -

In other Basketball Wives news, following his arrest on the suspicion of domestic violence back in September, TMZ is reporting that all charges have been dropped against Matt Barnes.

The incident occurred back in September after cops received a disconnected 911 call. Upon arriving to Matt and Gloria Govan’s home, cops found visible injuries on both parties and arrested Matt for domestic violence. We’re guessing Gloria refused to corporate as she immediately denied all allegations of abuse just moments after Matt’s arrest.

The couple is still engaged though they canceled their August 21 wedding this year just 3 weeks before they were set to tie the knot. And judging from the clip below, it doesn’t seem Gloria will be appearing on the show’s new season. Also below, pictures of Tami.
