Meeka Claxton

The upcoming episode of Basketball Wives is shaping up to be the most dramatic of the season.

Last week Evelyn Lozada confronted long time friend Jennifer Williams about some things she said in a radio interview.  Tonight everything comes to a head as Tami breaks into Evelyn’s hotel room so that Jennifer and Evelyn can hopefully make amends. Also Tami and Meeka get into a fist fight which might have led to Meeka quitting the show. But more on that later!

As for that infamous radio interview, Jen is still defending what she said. She tells Hollywood Life, “[E]verything I said in that interview, I have said before and to her face in Season Two.” Jennifer also discusses Evelyn’s reaction to the interview, and how she wishes that Evelyn had confronted her first, instead of allowing the drama to fester.

Jen says, “I also feel like all the talks with Noe, Shaunie and Tami were unnecessary. I have known Evelyn for over a decade and if she has an issue with me she should have come straight to me. Talking to a bunch of people only instigates things and when Evelyn gets mad she just lets it build, instead of dealing with it right away in a calm manner.”

While she stands behind her statements, Jen hopes this drama will not be the end of her friendship with Evelyn. She continues, “I do want to say that as a friend I would never do anything intentional to hurt anyone’s feelings. Evelyn and I have been through a lot and hopefully we will make it over this hurdle as well.”

Moving on to Tami Roman and Meeka Claxton as they have had a rocky relationship (if you could even call it that) all season, and Tami has been making not so subtle digs at Meeka throughout the ladies’ Italian getaway. Those digs become blows this evening as the women get into a knock-down-drag-out brawl while out clubbing in Rome.

The fight has resulted in a lawsuit with Meeka suing her co-star for assault and battery. Tami responded on her twitter page, “I was unaware of this pending lawsuit until getting word from my publicist, to which I have no comment.” She later added, “I was defending myself-I didn’t attack her.” Guess we’ll have to see on tonight’s episode.

The TV Guide preview also states someone will quit the show tonight. All signs are pointing to Meeka! Wowzers. And finally, the reunion is taping today. Here’s to hoping Tami the ladies will keep their hands to themselves.

SHOULD EVELYN HAVE GONE TO JENNIFER FIRST? WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON REGARDING TAMI VERSUS MEEKA?

Holy lawsuit drama! TMZ is now reporting that Basketball Wives star Meeka Claxton has filed a lawsuit against her costar Tami Roman for assault and battery.

This all stems from a nightclub fight that took place in Rome, Italy last month. And yes this is the same fight that will be shown on the upcoming episode of the VH1 show. According to reports, things came to ahead between both ladies when Tami decided to punch Meeka in the face leading to a fist fight.

In the lawsuit filed yesterday in New York, Meeka alleges Tami “assaulted, battered, beat, threatened, menaced, attacked, jumped on, pushed to the ground, thrashed, punched, and shoved” her causing serious injury.

Meeka is seeking unspecified damages stating the incident cost her a day of filming — and put her through an emotional and physical hell. Tami has yet to respond to the lawsuit. But err does Tami have any money to pay out?

In other news, the Dancing With The Stars casting rumors continue to heat up! The latest reality star in the season 13 casting rumor mill? None other than Evelyn Lozada! TMZ is reporting the VH1 reality star is indeed in talks to do the show.

Sources connected to the show reveal, “Dancing” producers love the idea of having Evelyn on the show — especially since she’s engaged to Chad who was a previous contestant.”

Yes if Evelyn signs that dotted line, she would be following in the footsteps of her NFL fiance Chad Ochocinco who did the show last year during season 10. Chad would be able to give his fiance some tips as he actually made it to the semi-finals during his season.

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON THE LAWSUIT? TEAM MEEKA OR TEAM TAMI? DO YOU WANT TO SEE EVELYN ON DANCING WITH THE STARS?

On last night’s episode of Basketball Wives, Shaunie O’Neal gets the ladies together in NYC for some bonding and some peer mediation – but leaves instigator Meeka Claxton out of the loop! Jennifer Williams goes on a blind date with a new Eric, Suzie Ketcham and Royce Reed stay behind in Miami and therefore stay out of the drama, and Tami Roman and Evelyn Lozado make amends without coming to blows!

Things start off with Suzie meeting up with Meeka to discuss the argument at the Polo Match. Suzie is taking Meeka’s side, probably thinking that is the side Evelyn will be on so she can impress the mean girls with her ability to quickly ditch Royce. Meeka admits she probably should not have gotten involved in all the dramz and that her and Tami do not mesh. Taking an Evelyn like attitude about people not mattering if she doesn’t want them to, Meeka advises Tami to keep a move on. She also advises Suzie to stay out of things! Um, pot meet kettle!

On last night’s episode of Basketball Wives, Meeka Claxton crosses Tami Roman, Suzie Ketcham crosses Royce Reed, Eric Williams crosses Jen Williams, Evelyn Lozado has some family issues, and Shaunie O’Neal is absent!

The episode starts out with Royce meeting Ashley and Suzie for breakfast to fill Ashley in on the ‘altercation’ she got into with Evelyn because Royce isn’t ghetto but she is hood. Suzie is suddenly seeing things from Evelyn and Jen’s perspective and encourages Royce to stop causing drama because she wants everyone to hold hands and skip through rainbows and just be friends! My have the tables turned from last season… Royce reveals exactly why she is sick of Evelyn – and it has to do with, ahem, how Evelyn being a ho… allegedly of course.

Evelyn and Jen have a relaxing spa day where using their ‘we’re so classy’ hush-hush voices they talk about how ho-ish Royce is and complain about her tweeting Eric. The conversation rapidly escalates into why Royce has a different boyfriend every other month. Wait – so dating is wrong according to these two? Evelyn decides Royce can’t call her a ho because she is one too – so, HA!

The show starts out with Royce and Suzie playing tennis – Royce obviously forgetting that tennis doesn’t involve a pool or a beach shows up practically wearing a bikini. She and Suzie talk about all the drama with Meeka, Evelyn, and Jen; Suzie – trying not to be involved suggests they all have a sit down so Royce can play 20 Questions and ask everyone who said: what? when? where? why? about her.

Meeka Claxton, Tami Roman
The drama rages on for the Basketball Wives stars.

According to a new report by TMZ, Tami Roman and new cast member Meeka Claxton came to blows during a recent club outing in Rome, Italy.

Those watching the show this season are well aware that Tami is not a fan of Meeka’s as she feels Meeka is responsible for creating animosity and drama between the girls on the show.

While Meeka denies Tami’s accusations, things got physical during a recent taping at a nightclub in Rome where the ladies filmed several scenes abroad. Tami decided to confront Meeka and a full on brawl broke out. Sources reveal things ended with Tami punching Meeka in the face. Wowzers.

No one was seriously injured in the brawl but the ladies were escorted out of the club by security.

Following the report, Tami tweeted “Meeka is not a victim! She wanted 2get it poppin w/me 2 impress Evelyn. If I feel threatened, I have a right 2 defend myself.” Safe to say this season of the show will be the most violent dramatic yet.

Meanwhile a new episode of Basketball Wives airs tonight on VH1 at 8/7c. On the third episode this season, Royce’s father is concerned about her new boyfriend. Meanwhile, Evelyn looks into a fertility clinic as she prepares to start a family with Chad Ochocinco. Below is a video sneek peak!

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON THE TAMI & MEEKA DRAMA PLUS TONIGHT’S NEW EPISODE?

Following last week’s dramatic premiere, the latest episode of Basketball Wives was more on the mellow end, or more accurately the calm before the storm. This week, we discover Suzie has no back bone, Meeka is might be two-faced, Tami is NOT a fan of the hand or Meeka, Jennifer wants to get her groove back, Evelyn’s solution to every problem is to get laid (preferably to a younger bloke), and also Shaunie has no storyline this season!

The episode begins with Jennifer and Tami catching up at Jen’s place, as Jennifer takes a break from being Evelyn’s shadow. Though I’m a tad surprised to see her breaking bread with Evelyn’s enemy. Tami brings up the t-shirt and lawsuit drama, while Jen tries to stay neutral on the issue.

Circle outcasts Royce and Suzie meet up to gossip grab a bite. The topic of convo is Jen’s ex Eric and Royce reveals she still keeps in touch with him via the twitter and it shouldn’t be a problem for Jen. The topic then turns to Evelyn and Royce wastes no time in trashing her. “I can change my hair. I can change my clothes. But she can’t change the fact that she’s a ho.” Ouch! When it comes to Jennifer, Royce and Suzie agree that she is “cool” when she’s not stuck up Evelyn’s butt. Err the jury is still out on that one.

Basketball Wives Meeka
Following last week’s season 3 premiere of Basketball Wives which pretty much showed newbie Meeka Claxton, you know, sticking her nose into everyone’s business, she is now defending herself.

In a new interview, Meeka, who describes herself as a self-made real estate entrepreneur, does what all the other reality stars before her have done which is to of course blame editing.

When asked what she thought of the season premiere, Meeka states, “I mean, I watched it. And this is what I signed up for–it’s not me, the way I was portrayed, but it was entertaining.” She also says that she feels VH1 is portraying her falsely. “I was very surprised. A lot with Royce; it was all cut out that I said how nice she was, how bubbly she was. So, it’s funny how it started so innocently.”

So had Meeka seen the show before signing up for it? “I watched a few episodes before. But I was always in and out of New York and Atlanta, so I didn’t see every episode,” answered Meeka before going on to add that she doesn’t consider any of the ladies her friends. “I wouldn’t consider any of them friends. But I’m still getting to know them. It’s been such a short amount of time. And I didn’t go in there looking for friends. Its only been about two months, though.”

In other Basketball Wives news, the show continues to prove to be a ratings hit for the VH1 network. Last week’s premiere did pretty well, with over 1.8 million viewers tuning in. That is a 36% increase from last season’s premiere episode. As we reported, it appears VH1 is planning to extend the series with a new franchise in Los Angeles.

And finally, a new episode airs tonight on VH1 at 8/7c. Suzie’s return to the circle upsets Royce, and sparks fly when Tami takes Meeka to task for playing both sides. A preview clip is below -
