A month after Jason Mesnick did the unthinkable by dumping his fiance – Melissa Rycroft on national television, people continue to have strong opinions on his actions. Ex Bachelor Matt Grant recently spoke out and says Jason’s decision was not smart.
Matt told People, “This guy kind of committed suicide. He’s a nice man. I’ve met him quite a few times. But I think he should have gone about it differently.” We couldn’t agree more with Matt. Why any man would think it’s okay to dump your fiance in front of the world is beyond us.
Matt however gives credit to Jason for owning up to his mistake. “Ultimately, he had the [guts] to say, ‘I screwed up.”
Matt is now dating his publicist Sarah Robarts. He ended his relationship with his bachelor pick and fiance Shayne Dahl Lamas last year.
The Bachelor’s Melissa Rycroft has been able to catapult her heartbreak into a spot on DWTS, so is Playboy next?
According to a new report, Melissa has been offered $500,000 to show it all in Playboy. Star Magazine reports that Hugh Hefner sent the Bachelor beauty a personal letter asking her to pose, and also inviting her to a dinner at the Playboy mansion to discuss the deal!
A source reveals, “Hef really wants Melissa to do a pictorial because she’s the ultimate girl next door.” Melissa however could not pose now because it would go against her ABC contract which does now allow her to pose nude while appearing on Dancing With The Stars. The contract also disallows her from posing nude until 3 months after the show ends.
What do you think about this story? Should Melissa pose for Playboy?
The Bachelor’s Jason Mesnick reveals in an all new interview that he and Molly are happy together. Good to see that whole dumping his ex fiance on national television thingy has not put a dent in their relationship.
Jason tells People, they two continue to visit each other and are heading in the right direction in their relationship. Molly enjoys cooking for Jason, and he is enjoying getting to know her friends and family.
According to the happy couple, their biggest challenge is the distance between them. Molly says she plans on flying to Seatle in a few weeks to visit both Jason and Ty, “I’m excited to just spend some time with Ty outside of the cameras and production.”
This week’s dancing with the stars was a week of good dances and high scores! A lot of the stars continued to show improvement. Melissa Rycroft, Shawn Johnson and Gilles Marini had a triple tie for the top score with each receiving a 27. Not sure if that had ever happened in the dancing history of DWTS.
Eliminations were last night and Denise Richards found herself in the bottom two along with Holly Madison. Yes we’re also wondering how Steve Wozniak escaped the bottom two, perhaps votewoz.com might explain it.
Denise found herself getting the axe, we take it the fans have yet to get over that whole sleeping with your bestfriend’s husband fiasco that occured a while back with Heather Locklear & Richie Sambora. Better luck next time Denise!
Best Dance of the week – Gilles and Cheryl
Most improved this week – David and Kym
Melissa and Gilles continue to be the two favorites to win the season.
The 2 lowest scores of the night once again went to Steve-O and Steve Wozniak.
Here are the scores for this week –
Gilles and Cheryl: 27
Melissa and Tony: 27
Shawn and Mark: 27
Lil’ Kim and Derek: 25
David and Kym: 24
Chuck and Julianne: 23
Ty and Chelsie: 23
Lawrence and Edyta: 20
Holly and Dmitry: 17
Denise and Maksim: 16
Steve-O and Lacey: 15
Ever wondered how much the Celebs get paid to be on Dancing With The Stars? Well we now have that answer! All the stars get paid the amount of $200,000 for the season. The $200,000 is paid whether or not the stars get voted off. So Belinda Carlisle , the first star voted off this season would still get that amount.
The winner then receives a $100,000 bonus with the 2nd and 3rd runner ups receiving smaller bonuses as well.
In a bit of a surprising news, The Bachelor’s Melissa Rycroft believes Dancing With The Stars’s new format is much tougher than The Bachelor and those “shocking” rose ceremonies.
Melissa spoke to US Weekly this week and states that the new DWTS elimination dance format is definitely more nerve racking. Melissa also goes on to say that she does not feel safe even though she and her partner Tony Dovonali have been racking up some of the highest scores on the show. “It’s fair to say nobody’s safe, no matter how high your scores are!”
For some odd reason, we think Melissa will be safe for a very long time on DWTS.
Seems The Bachelor’s Melissa is moving on quite well since dodging the Jason bullet (good luck with him Molly!). She is on the new cover of US Weekly magazine and the mag reports Melissa now has a new man in her life named Ty.
The 25 year old bachelorette tells US, “We’ve been really good friends, but the timing was never right. With all this going on, he’s my support system. It’s funny how things happen.”
Melissa is also riding high on her new Dancing With The Stars gig scoring the second highest score on the show’s debut with only 2 days of practice, earning her a standing O!
Dancing With The Stars eight season premiered last night and it was not a let down! The show began with rapper Lil Kim doing the cha cha and ended with The Bachelor castoff Melissa Rycroft doing the waltz, and doing a great job at it! Melissa finished the night the 2nd highest score. You couldn’t help but yell “Go Melissa!” the minute she came on the screen!
The best score of the night went to Sex and The City Movie hunk Gilles Marini and his partner Cheryl Burke as they definitely had the sexiest dance of the night! In 3rd place was Lil Kim and her partner Derek Hough. Below are the night’s full scores as well as pictures from last night.
