Bravo housewives in Bikinis

Bethenny Frankel is showing off her post baby bikini body in the latest issue of Life&Style magazine.

The Real Housewives of NYC star was photographed on the beach rocking her blue bikini just 3 months after delivering daughter Bryn Hoppy. The magazine claims Bethenny’s photos were not retouched.

The 5’6 star is back to her pre-pregnancy weight of 118 pounds and shares her diet tips with the mag. “There’s been no real drastic anything,” Bethenny, 39, says. “I’ve really been eating, just not like a crazy person. Taste everything, eat nothing.”

Bethenny states she’s in a healthy place now and no longer does extreme diets. “I was owned by dieting and I hated myself,” she says. “I’ll never be extreme again, it just doesn’t work.”

In other Bravo housewives bikini news, Real Housewives of DC star Michaele Salahi is also showing off her bikini body. Why exactly? Well the 44-year-old reality star/alleged White House party crasher wants to prove to the world that she’s not anorexic!

“I’m not anorexic!” insists Michaele in the latest issue of InTouch Weekly. “I’m a skinny girl. I always was. I’ve never had an eating disorder in my life. And it hurts to be called anorexic.”

Michaele, who along with her husband Tareq, has been accused by numerous individuals and companies of owing them money also shares with the mag that she would like to get a boob job within the next 6 months. Excerpts from Michaele’s interview below -

How do you defend yourself?
Honestly, I can’t believe those women have so much time to devote to my weight. If they get out there and move, they will look like me and be thin, and it’ll all be good.

What’s your diet like?
I start the day with a hot chocolate and cereal — I love Lucky Charms or Kashi GoLean — then some fruit. I don’t really eat a lot in the middle of the day. I have an early dinner, which is always a salad, with plain chicken, grilled or broiled.

What about plastic surgery — would you ever do it?
Definitely. I would love to do a whole lot of Botox and maybe get collagen, too. I also think it would be great to have boobs. I’m a B [cup], so I’d get a C. I’m all for anything you can do to make yourself look and feel better.

When would you do it?
Hopefully, within the next six months. But my husband doesn’t want me to do my boobs!

Michaele SalahiLynda Erkiletian

A lot to report on the Real Housewives of DC today.

First, Michaele Salahi is speaking out on her website and denying claims that she is anorexic (who accused her of being anorexic?), while slamming her co-stars in the process. “Lynda takes pleasure in tearing down other women, which I think is wrong,” Michaele wrote on her website, adding that she is “sick of her not being up front and talking behind my back”.

Lynda Erkiletian however spoke to E! news and denied she ever accused Michaele of being anorexic. “At the beginning of filming, when I would see her I felt that she had lost a lot of weight and I was genuinely concerned,” said Lynda. “As a [modeling] agent, I don’t ever use the A-word, which she’s been parading around and making up and the media has picked up on. I know better.”

Michaele also had some words for Catherine Ommanney and Mary Schmidt Amons, who both bad mouthed Michaele during the last episode as they visited the Salahis winery for a polo lesson. Michaele claims both Cat and Mary “are always the type of women who have to wear what I wear… Silly really,” she wrote. “Cat and Mary decided that they wanted to be a little sarcastic about my attire – they were upset that they were in jeans and I was wearing riding pants. I am married to a polo player – of course I wear riding pants.”

In other DC news, while the second episode of the DC Housewives aired last Thursday, a lot of viewers had many questions. One being why are the Salahis rolling in a white stretch limo? Another being why the heck do they have police escort? It seems the DC Police Department was also curious about the later question as they launched an investigation into the escort issue right away.

Police spokesman Lt. Nicholas Breul told CNN Saturday, “The chief has asked that an investigation be conducted into whether or not there was any type of an escort for the Salahis. We’re working to identify the car and the officer… Escorts are generally used for safety reasons to swiftly move people, and those are generally dignitaries, from one point or another. Generally speaking, there are no escorts for people going to parties or social functions.”

CNN is however reporting today that the investigation has been concluded and the finding was that the Salahis had a Park police escort and that “the MPD [Metropolitan Police Department] car featured in the episode was not the escort car and was edited into the shot incorrectly.”

And finally, TMZ also reported this weekend that Micahele’s husband Tareq Salahi had the cops called on him by his own mother on July 27th. We reported back in November that “Tareq sued his mother, Corinne, and the case was dismissed. Corinne then sued Tareq and the case went to trial. Tareq and Michaele won control of the Oasis Winery in 2007, but it has run into debt since then. The winery filed for bankruptcy back in February 2009, and owes over $900,000 in debt.” The Oasis Winery in Virginia was founded by Tareq’s parents back in 1977.

According to TMZ, Tareq’s mom called the cops and reported that her son was trespassing on the property. Upon the cops’ arrival, Tareq explained to the officers that he still has an apartment located above the winery and should therefore be allowed to enter his residence.

The cops determined that Tareq was right and he was allowed to enter the apartment.

The Real Housewives of DC

Though the ratings of the premiere episode of the Real Housewives of DC were nothing to write home about, a new episode comes our way tonight.

In the second episode of the season, titled Disloyal To The Party, Mary Schmidt Amons discovers that her adult daughter’s move back home creates various challenges. Elsewhere, Stacie highlights her down-home roots by serving up a soul-food dinner—but one guest stirs the pot. And Michaele takes Cat and Mary horseback riding.

Housewife Stacie Turner also did an interview with parade.com during which she shared why the DC cast stands out a bit from the other Housewives franchises.

“On the show we also get into local politics that have national implication, such as the issue of gay marriage,” says Stacie. “We are not afraid to weigh in. In one episode, we meet with Washington City Council member David Catania [the council's first openly gay member when he was elected in 1997], who is one of the biggest gay-rights and gay-marriage advocates.”

“Our cast is split politically,” Stacie adds. “I’m a Democrat and I believe that Mary [Mary Schmidt Amons] is an Independent. In the first episode, Cat [Catherine Ommanney] and I have a debate on Obama and Biden and their leadership and if they’re effective.”

A preview clip of tonight’s episode is below -

Tareq Salahi and Michaele Salahi

Bravo’s newest hotmess Michaele Salahi continues her reign of being in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

UsWeekly is reporting, via the Washington Post, that the Real Housewives of DC star and her husband Tareq Salahi were presented with court papers from PR firm Brotman-Winter-Fried Communications during their private premire party on Thursday.

The lawsuit is regarding the more than $15,000 in unpaid fees the couple allegedly owes the PR firm from a 2008 polo event.

“It was an affidavit for debtors interrogatory,” Steve Winter, president of BWF, said. “It means they’ll have to appear in court to discuss their financial means — how they are capable of paying off the debt.”

In other Salahi news, RadarOnline is now reporting today that Michaele and her hubby are hoping to come out with a Barbie doll in the image of Michaele.

“The Salahis want to produce a Barbie Doll of Michaele in her red sari dress — the same outfit she wore when ‘gatecrashing’ the White House,” said one source, who was familiar with their grand plan. “They even, ambitiously, want to sell the rights of the doll to Mattel or another toy maker in the hopes it could generate worldwide sales and become the next Malibu Stacy.”

The Salahis business plan doesn’t end there as they also want to come out with a Halloween costume. “They also want to make Halloween costumes of themselves and sell the rights to a major store, such as Wal-Mart,” adds the source.

Coming out next month? The release of the couple’s new book, Cirque Du Salahi: Be Careful Who You Trust, which will reportedly detail their White House crashing fiasco.

And move over Teresa and Joe Giudice! There’s a newer and more morally bankrupt Bravo couple in town! While the Salahis pretend to be high class, rubbing elbows with the nation’s elite on the Bravo reality show, it seems they have a lot more in common with the Giudices from the Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Like Teresa and Joe, the Salahis also have a history with bankruptcy and state court filings. RadarOnline reports that in 2004, an Aston Martin, worth $150,000 and a $90,000 boat were repossessed, as part an auction. This was in addition to unpaid bills for limousine services, tens of thousands of dollars in credit card debt and even unpaid parking tickets.

Who else is having a forced auction on Aug 22?  None other than the Giudices of course!  Must say Bravo has a special gift for finding these types of people for their shows.

The Real Housewives of DC

A lot to report on the Real Housewives of DC today, so we’ll get right to it.

The official premiere party of the DC ladies was hosted on Thursday, but according to UsWeekly, Michaele Salahi and her husband Tareq Salahi decided to skip out on the party, much to the joy of her castmates it seems.

“I don’t want to see them; I don’t want to talk to them,” said the outspoken Catherine Ommanney. “I don’t want to be associated with them.”

Catherine even added that she would not return for another season of the show if the Salahis signed on. “Absolutely, categorically, no,” she told US. “I’ll have to have therapy the rest of my life to get over being associated with her.”

Housewife Lynda Erkiletian added, “I was very happy to hear that they had their own premiere party and would be attending that and not torturing us any more than they have in the past.”  Other housewife Mary Schmidt Amons has also had it with the Salahis, saying: “I’ve really have had enough. The last two days have been a challenge, just to deal with the trauma of The View, overall.”

Radar Online is also reporting that the Salahis are charging up to $500 a ticket for the premiere party they are hosting. An organizer for the party however adds that proceeds from the event will be going to the Salahis’ bank account charity.

Michaele Salahi and Whoopi Goldberg

In other NJ news, RadarOnline is reporting that Michaele is considering suing Whoopi Goldberg and The View talk show for defamation.

Lawyer for the Salahis, Lisa Bloom, who also happens to be the daughter of famed attorney Gloria Allred, told Radar that the attention-seeking couple are considering their legal options.  “All options are open right now,” said Lisa when asked if the Salahis will take legal action against the show.

Lisa believes Michaele was defamed after being called a ‘gatecrasher’ five times during her segment. Adding that producers of the show turned on the applause light for the audience when the show’s Sherri Shepherd told Michaele that “you should be in jail.”

“I believe she was defamed,” Lisa told Radar. “My client is not a criminal and she has not been charged by anybody for any crime.”

Ratings – And finally, the ratings for the premiere of the DC housewives is out and let’s just say the ratings were so-so.  The show pulled in a mere 1.6 million viewers, in comparison to last year’s premiere of the Real Housewives of New Jersey which pulled in 1.7 million viewers back then.

The DC figure is even more lackluster when you add in the amount of publicity the show received. The finale of Bethenny Getting Married also drew drew 1.9 million total viewers, just above the 1.8 million season average.

Real Housewives of DC

Tonight is the long awaited premiere of Bravo’s newest housewives franchise – The Real Housewives of DC. Pictured above are the DC ladies as they visited the Today Show this week. From left to right is Mary Amos, Lynda Erkiletian, Cat Ommanney, Stacie Turner, and Michaele Salahi.

The DC Housewives have already proven to be the most controversial franchise yet all thanks to notorious cast member Michaele Salahi, who made headlines last year when she and her husband Tareq Salahi decided to crash a White House party.

As if that wasn’t enough, a new controversy hit early this week when the Washington Post reported that Michaele’s husband Tareq threw a drink on another cast member, Lynda.

Lynda, during her appearance on The View Wednesday, said it all started when she heard Tareq being verbally abusive to some Bravo execs during a press dinner in a Beverly Hills hotel. She said she tried to calm him down and he ended up tossing his wine on her. “Aside from ruining the day, he also ruined my beautiful Zac Posen couture suit!” said Lynda to the Post.

Even more interesting, Michaele admitted the incident occurred during her appearance on The View, but defended her husband, saying he was just defending her from past insults Lynda had hurled at her.

And there’s more folks! During the ladies’ View appearance, host Whoopi Goldberg, who was offstage during the segment, walked on the set, touched Michaele’s arm and told her to refocus on answering the White House party crashing question.

After finishing taping the segment, Michaele then reportedly told the producers of the show that Whoopi hit her, leading to an ugly exchange backstage between the Salahis and Whoopi. Whoopi admitted on The View this morning that words were exchanged backstage between she and the Salahis, saying Tareq began taking photos of her on his Blackberry at one point during the argument.

As for Michaele, she tells PEOPLE magazine that her experience on The View was “humiliating and torturous.”

“The first encounter I had with this woman is her grabbing my arm and telling me to change the subject,” Salahi told PEOPLE Thursday. “It was very inappropriate … They want to torture me. I didn’t know [being interviewed on the View] would be this horrific.”

Seems the DC cast will fit right in with the other franchises. A preview clip of tonight’s premiere is below -

While the headline grabbing Real Housewives of DC doesn’t debut for 2 more weeks on the Bravo network, the show’s stars have already began their press interviews.

Two of the show’s cast members, Mary Schmidt Amons and Stacie Turner, recently did a phone conference interview and well, let’s just say they had some interesting things to say.

The HollywoodLife points out that both of the DC ladies had nothing but praises for Bethenny Frankel, who is by far the most successful and popular Bravo housewife.

“I have watched the New York and Atlanta Housewives,” said Stacie (pictured right), who owns her own real estate agency and is also married to a man named Jason. She added, “I relate to Bethenny the most because she’s an entrepreneur juggling a bunch of things like being a mom” and owning a business.”

Stacie’s cast-mate Mary also states she can relate to Bethenny the most. “It’s really hard to associate with the other casts,” Mary explains. But “the person I most identify with is the person who has been a very positive influence … [is] Bethenny!” She added, “I enjoyed watching her on this season [of the NY Housewives]. It’s been interesting to see how motherhood and marriage has changed her!”

The Washington Post also adds that during the conference call interview, Mary wanted to make certain that the show “is not all about the Salahis.

“We spent five months together, and we spent a lot of time sharing our stories, and I think that the American public is going to be really interested and inspired by our stories,” she said, with the Post adding that she didn’t sound like someone too happy to be upstaged by Michaele Salahi.

And when it comes to the impact the party crashing incident had on the cast, Stacie stated: “It was so unbelievable because they’d been nothing but nice and normal around us,” adding, “things did change a little bit after that point… I was just shocked that anybody would have the gall to crash a party like that.”

The Real Housewives of D.C. is set to premiere August 5th on Bravo.

Though the all new franchise of the Real Housewives of D.C. doesn’t premiere until August 5th, Bravo has released a sneak peek video giving us a taste of what is to come!

As we previously reported, the infamous White House party crashers Michaele and Tareq Salahi will be a focal part of the show. The preview video also shows the Salahis as they prepare to crash attend the White House dinner.

Bravo has described the D.C. ladies as “connected D.C. power players,” who “have their pulse on the most important cultural events, political galas, gallery openings, and fundraisers in Washington society.”

And if you think Michaele is the only scandalous character on the show, you are surely mistaken. Introducing you to Catherine Ashley Ommanney (pictured far left), the mother of two sold a story to the British tabloids back in 2006 during which she claimed to have made out with a then 22-year-old Prince Harry. Catherine told the tabloids she was 34 at the time (2006) but multiple media outlets have her listed as being in her forties today.

It has also been reported Catherine and her husband Charles Ommanney have separated since the show stopped filming. Apparently doing the reality show put a strain on their marriage.
