Mob Wives Reunion

mob wives natalie fight

Are y’all as glad as I am that the circus we watched in the form of the finale of the Mob Wives reunion is finished? Get it together, Vivica Fox! You’re not part of the cast (although, check her out in that action shot–gotta love Viv!)! After her Twitter war last week where she joined forces with the veteran ladies against Natalie Guercio, I was a tad curious to see what would unfold…until my very exhausted brain realized that the entire reunion was actually filmed before that happened. Oops. Oh well! I was still anxious to see what would unfold after the insanity of part one. At least it opened with a bleeping, bleepity, bleep montage the the dicks and dildos (the things you can now say on television!) that came out of Drita D’avanzo’s mouth throughout the season. It didn’t feel right typing that, I’ll be honest. A blushing Drita is mortified by her mouth, and she admits that “pickles” is her safe word when her oldest daughter catches her cursing like a $%*&$% fool.

Getting into the meat of the series, Renee Graziano’s early season rocky relationships with Big Ang and Drita are highlighted, followed by forgiving Delicious Natalie and her decision to let go and let God. A tearful Renee is upset that she harbored so much hatefulness in her heart, and she apologizes for hurting her friends. Drita admits that she still likes Renee, but she didn’t how she was behaving for the first part of the season. Natalie wishes they had buried their issues earlier but knows they both are too stubborn for that to have happened. Now, Renee is in a good place. One “you go, girl” from Vivica, and we’re treated to an video introduction of Natalie DiDonato, aka, New Natalie, aka Nat D, aka Natalie 2.0, aka Fraudalie (not to be confused with Ratalie, of course!).

mob wives reunion

Holy cleavage! The first installment of last night’s Mob Wives reunion was a giant boob parade. Vivica Fox hosts, and I’m hoping she has a better handle on these broads than she did on Krayonce. Drita D’avanzo is the only one who doesn’t look like she’s hosting Kim Kardashian’s ass on her chest. Natalie Guercio is wearing what can only be described as a chain metal gladiator suit complete with suspenders to cover her nips. She claims it’s her warrior look, but she’s not going to be fighting anyone when she has to constantly fiddle with her hands to keep her girls from warranting their own black bar. Renee Graziano is sporting a boot-cast on her foot, and she jokes that Drita finally came after her. Oh, if only the whole reunion could be this cheery!

Karen Gravano’s return is addressed, and Renee admits that it was nice to have some support after feuding with her other friends. Natalie cites her loyalty to last season’s Alicia as the reason for her social media beef. Karen finds it ridiculous that Alicia is so upset that her father killed the father-in-law she never met. Yeah, that’s fair, right? Karen knows that these mob wannabes are just trying to ride her big Mafia coattails. Renee reminds us that you can be loyal to one friend without trashing another, but the wannabes will never be “about this life,” a phrase which may need its own t-shirt line (if one of the ladies hasn’t already beat me to it). Again, remind why these family ties are worthy of such pride? Renee can’t even. Literally.

Holy &%#@*! I feel like they’ve been on hiatus for an extreme amount of time, but it is finally time for the ladies of Mob Wives to reconvene for the first season’s reunion special. And holy host! Unless she was tag-teaming with Maury Povich on Jerry Springer’s set, I can’t imagine a better host for this reunion than Wendy Williams. This is going to be AH-MAZE-ING!

First off, we get to see fabulous highlights from the first season with Drita D’avanzo, Renee Graziano, Karen Gravano, and Wendy Williams, and it’s as if I just died a Mob Wives death and the best parts of my life are flashing before my eyes.

Wendy Williams, or W Squared, begins by discussing the public perception of the show. Drita can’t believe that people are upset over her representation of Staten Island. As far as she’s concerned, it wasn’t a representation of Staten Island as it was just a representation of her personal life, so what is the big deal? I can see her point. I mean, if New Jersey were judged on the representations of the cast of Jersey Shore or RHWNJ, the Garden State would be royally screwed…oh wait. :) W2 reminds the ladies that Mob Princess Victoria Gotti has bad-mouthed the show, calling it scripted, and that clearly strikes a nerve with Renee, but she doesn’t elaborate.

Drita D'avanzo and Aleeya D'avanzo

In a shocking new interview, Mob Wives star Drita D’avanzo reveals she is leaving her currently incarcerated husband Lee D’avanzo.

If you recall, Drita discovered Lee had cheated on her, you know, during one of his brief stints out of prison, on last week’s finale episode. Even worse, Drita also found out Lee had been bringing their daughter Aleeya around his mistress. And today, Drita is making it clear she is done with Lee, even stating they are no longer speaking.

“Right now it looks like I’m going to 100% [get divorced],” Drita tells the HollywoodLife. “I did speak to him and we do not speak anymore since I confronted him about it. We don’t talk.”

Drita also reveals Lee lied about the affair when she confronted him. “He said exactly what I thought he was going to say,” says Drita. “He said it wasn’t true, but I know it is. It’s just something that I don’t see him confessing to. I don’t really need his confession, I just need him to know that I’m not going to be there for him anymore.”

Drita adds that her decision to leave Lee wasn’t an easy one. “It’s not easy, but I’m too prideful and I could never lay with a man that I know was with someone else,” continues Drita. “I can’t do it. I’m still heartbroken.”

So is Drita planning to start dating again soon? “I don’t think I’m ever trusting anybody ever again,” she states. “I’d rather be by myself than with somebody I can’t trust. I’m used to being alone.” As for her message to Lee, she states this is the worst mistake he ever made. “‘Just to lose your family, it’s not worth it,’” she adds.

We will get to see all of this divorce drama play out as the second season of Mob Wives is scheduled to begin filming soon.

Moving on to tonight’s reunion episode which will have the ladies revisiting all their issues from the season. In the clip below, Drita and Karen Gravano are in the same room together since their rooftop brawl and there’s still some tension lingering between them. The reunion airs on VH1 at 8/7c and a preview is below –

Mob Wives Cast - Karen Gravano, Drita D’avanzo, Renee Graziano, and Carla Facciolo

Season One of Vh1’s Mob Wives might be over but the drama sure isn’t! In a post-season, pre-reunion interview for Complex the cast of Mob Wives give their opinions of all the fights, drama, and friendship destruction and reveal what’s next for the ladies.

As for how the cast reacted to having cameras follow their every move, resident badgirl, Drita D’avanzo describes it as “stressful”, describing herself as a private person who kept her identity as the wife of a gangster secret for years: “I worked in [Saks Fifth Avenue] for seven years and no one ever knew anything about me. They probably, honestly, would be shocked. I mean, seven years in the same place, 55 hours a week with 55 women, and you never tell anyone that your husband was in jail or that you’re a single mom—they’re gonna be shocked. I never used profanity!”

Renee Graziano, on the other hand, called the experience “therapeutic,” proclaiming: “I got to learn a lot about myself.” As for how the editing process portrayed her, surprisingly Renee is ok with it: “At first, I was a little uptight because people weren’t seeing the side of me… I’m very funny. I’m very, very loving. I came off extremely hard and, I think, cold. But as the show has unraveled, you get to see who I really am and I love it.”

Karen Gravano gives the status of her book Shadow of the Bull, which we can expect to find in clearance racks bookstores this fall! Karen explains she is meeting with her ghost writer and using the book to establish her own identity outside of being Sammy The Bull’s daughter: “Not by any means am I saying that I don’t love my father, but you want to have your own identity, you don’t always want to be your mother’s child or your father’s child.”

As you could expect, she and Drita are still not speaking following their explosive season-ending blow-up, but Drita admits she is sorry for the way things escalated: “Physical violence isn’t going to solve anything, and I think it’ll make it worse, so I’m mad at myself that I allowed that. That’s me, that’s my temper, but I want to change that about me and I’m not happy it happened. Karen and I don’t really talk right now,” but Drita is still friends with Renee and Carla Facciolo, of course.

The ladies also divulge they were picked up for a Season Two and will begin filming very soon. As for what to expect, according to Carla even the cast doesn’t know: “You know what, I don’t even know what to expect yet, but I am excited about it. It’s weird because when we ended off, that [fight] happened with Drita and Karen, and I just want everything to try and like get back to normal in Season Two so everybody can just hang out and be happy again and be friends and have a good time!” Well, don’t hope for that too much or you definitely won’t be doing a Season Three!

Drita has some news though for Season Two – something major is on the horizon: “For me, you can expect a huge life change, an event. It’s going to be shocking, probably.” All my bets are on D-I-V-O-R-C-E based on some interesting posts via her Facebook page. If you recall, Drita discovered on the finale episode that her husband Lee D’avanzo had cheated on her.

Drita posted the following on July 2, “I just wrote Lee a letter~ sayn now your ho can send packages and visit you…hope she can keep her legs closed while your away too. Good Luck Asshole.” And on June 29, she hinted about a possible break up. “I think breakups ae like a broken mirror. You’ll probably hurt yourself more by trying to put it back together. Get a new mirror!” Season 2 should be interesting!

And speaking of Drita, she will doing something new for reality stars – hawking her own product: “I have a cosmetics line coming out. I’ve always been in the field of make-up [and] I’ve modeled, so all these things now I can do.”

The Mob Wives Reunion will air July 10th on Vh1 at 8pm.

So will watch Season Two of Mob Wives? Do you think Drita will divorce Lee while he’s in prison?

Mob Wives Cast - Karen Gravano, Drita D’avanzo, Renee Graziano, and Carla Facciolo

Good news fans of Mob Wives! The VH1 network has officially picked up the show for a second season.

This news comes as no surprise as the show has been doing very well in ratings, averaging over 1.3 million viewers per episode. All four women will be back for season two.

In addition to the season 2 news, the network also announced a “Mob Wives” reunion special is set to air July 10. Something tells us there will be plenty of security on the set!

And if you thought the last ‘dinner from hell’ episode of the show was dramatic, you ain’t seen nothing yet!

According to a new report by the NY Post, there is still at least one more fight coming our way this season. Castmates and former friends Karen Gravano and Drita D’avanzo reportedly got into a nasty physical fight during the season finale taping at the Rare View bar atop the Shelburne Hotel in New York. In fact things got so crazy, that it left one castmate bloody.

Once Karen and Drita got physical, security is said to have stepped in and separated the two, who were taken in different elevators. However, the fight spilled into the lobby, and security ended up throwing them out of the hotel according to sources.

Another cast member Renee Graziano ended up bleeding in the scuffle after she cut her leg on a bench.

In the mean time, it seems VH1 has yet to decide on whether or not they will air the fight. A VH1 rep stated, “At this time, we are concerned about the well-being of our cast. The network has yet to determine whether we will air this footage.” VH1 has standards?
