Carole Radziwill Says RHONY Is Just Another Job! Plus Did Ramona Singer Snub Drita D’Avanzo? And Other Drama!

I really think I’m going to enjoy the newest additions to Real Housewives of New York…especially Carole Radziwill. The widow and journalist (not to mention princess and bestselling author) with close ties to the timeless Kennedy clan will be joining Countess LuAnn and Pinot Singer on the upcoming season. She was recently interviewed by the New York Post where she described herself as the “unlikely housewife.” I like her already.

Calling the show a “job offer”, Carole explains, “Critical acclaim is great, and it gets you the corner table, but commercial success pays the bills.” With the women of New York rumored to be making $500,000 this season, I’d say that’s not too terrible of a payday.

While many ladies try to finagle their way into the franchise by befriending wives or crashing cocktail parties (an estimated 500 women tried out for Beverly Hills), Carole had no desire to pursue reality television. Of her friend and Bravo King Andy Cohen, she says,“I could probably count on one hand the number of conversations I’ve ever had about the ‘Housewives’ show with him.”

Mob Wives Reunion Recap: Cool As Cucumbers

Part two of the Mob Wives reunion starts amidst the chaos of the Drita D’Avanzo and Ramona Rizzo. Renee Graziano is trying to separate the women, and Drita leaves the set. Joy Behar doesn’t even get out of her seat. She’s just watching the craziness. Finally the women come back to the sofas, where Drita and Ramona continue to scream and bleep and threaten to kill one another off camera. I think they even decide to fight it out after the reunion (in the parking lot, perhaps?), and there are accusations of being in a gang. They are too well-dressed for this nonsense. Carla Facciolo and Karen Gravano are trying to keep the peace, urging the women to speak nicely. Renee tries to redirect, and Karen jumps on her for interrupting Joy. Renee tells Joy how to run the show, and it actually makes sense.

Joy seems to have regained control and Drita and Ramona are able to discuss the fight without raising their voices…too much. The next confrontation highlighted is between Drita and Karen. Karen and Drita have different definitions of friendship, but they plan to respect their truce. Joy is concerned that once people start gossiping on Staten Island, the truce will disappear. Karen and Drita reveal that they have promised to go directly to the other to resolve any issues regarding the rumor mill. Ramona says that she and Carla have a similar agreement, but it seems that Carla still likes to talk about her. Joy was excited that she was able to keep the women calm for at least a few minutes. We need more Big Ang and less bleeping.

Jennifer Graziano Dishes On Mob Wives Chicago And Big Ang’s Spinoff; Plus VIDEO: Mob Wives Chigaco Super Trailer!

With Mob Wives coming to a close last night, creator Jennifer Graziano is looking forward to the premiere of Mob Wives Chicago, as well as Big Ang’s new spinoff.

Jennifer sat down with The Hollywood Reporter to dish on both of her new shows.

Jennifer shared a little insight into Big Ang’s upcoming series: “She’s larger than life, and there’s going to be a couple of characters added to her show that are really going to make a splash. So I think that this show is going to be much different than Mob Wives in the sense that it’s going to be a lot more lighthearted and a lot more colorful and fun. Given the circumstances of what’s been going on with Mob Wives and the intensity, I’m looking forward to some of that colorfulness.”

She explains why she waited until season 2 to introduce the world to Big Ang. “I did know going into this that Big Ang was a star. I’ve known her since I was a kid, and I always had her in mind, but what I wanted to do was build the brand around the initial four women who had real close, authentic relationships. Big Ang has been a part of my family for like 25-30 years. She’s actually my older sister’s best friend. My thought was that she only really has a real connection through Renee, so let me build this first with these women who have these deeper relationships and kind of bring Big Ang in either for a couple of episodes that season and then have her in full time for the second season. And I think from a casting perspective, you always want to have something up your sleeve for the following season. Ang was my magic trick.”

Sunday Night Ratings Round Up! Keeping Up With The Kardashians Scores Big! Plus PHOTO: Kardashian Kollection Lingerie!

If you were hoping the Kardashians would fade into obscurity following a year of famewhore antics gone wrong, think again! They’re back and apparently as big as ever. According to the ratings, the Sunday night season premiere of Keeping Up With The Kardashians hauled in an impressive number of viewers.

Nearly 3 million (yes, I said million, not hundred) people tuned in to catch a glimpse of Kimmie Kake‘s butt, Khloe Kardashian‘s paternity drama, and a Kanye West sighting. I personally watch for Bruce Jenner‘s mutated face. I keep hoping and hoping to see some semblance of normalcy return to the rubber mask that has eclipsed his head.

Most shocking, the ratings for KUWTK are up 16% since last season’s premiere. And surprisingly the show did really well in the coveted 18-49 year-old-demographic, with 1.5M women making up the viewership last Sunday according to The Hollywood Reporter. I thought you people were boycotting?!

Mob Wives Reunion Recap: The Calm Before the Storm

It’s reunion time for the Mob Wives. Oddly enough I feel as if the season flew by, but when I see footage of past episodes, I realize I’ve been watching this show for what seems like forever. Joy Behar is hosting the debacle, and I’m curious to see if she can keep the crazy in line.

We revisit the season, with special attention paid to Junior Pagan’s betrayal and Renee Graziano’s breakdown. Renee and her sister Jenn Graziano, who is a producer on the show, are asked about their thoughts on Junior. Renee is actually very calm, and sadly she reveals that she miscarried before everything went down with Junior. Her sister discusses why she continued to film Renee during her dark times, and Renee admits that she urged her sister to document it. Joy reminds Renee that Junior was wearing a wire in his watch which explains his reaction to Renee gifting him with a new watch for his birthday. Both Drita D’Avanzo and Jenn are confused as to why Junior would want to be on a television show when he was trying to be so sneaky. Renee and Jenn reveal that neither have spoken to Junior, and Renee has heard that he was rejected from the witness protection program.

Renee Graziano To Get Surgery Again! Plus, Get A Sneak Peek Of The Reunion!

Unsurprisingly, Renee Graziano ain’t scared of anything, not even another plastic surgery disaster. That’s right, even after her last attempt at a “full body lift” went terribly wrong, Renee has decided to attempt surgery again with Dr. Michael Fiorillo to fix the wounds and scarring from the last surgery.

In an interview with Radar Online, Renee reveals that she was on her deathbed following her last surgery: “I lost 6.3 pints of blood and the priest told my son to say goodbye to his mother. I didn’t want to take blood but my body was an ice cube so I had three pints transfused, my family made the decision for me because I was incoherent and they were told I had 10 minutes to live.”

Mob Wives Season Finale Recap: A Family Affair

Last night was the season finale of Mob Wives, and one never knows what is going to happen with this rowdy group of women…especially since there’s a dreaded meeting between to women who have a penchant for beating the poo out of each other.

Renee Graziano and Drita D’Avanzo meet for cocktails to discuss everything that has been going on in their lives. Drita relays the news that Lee will not be transferred to a prison in Brooklyn. Renee outlines her father’s plea deal, and she is relieved that the other people that Junior affected didn’t get much time. Renee has also scheduled the meeting between Drita and Karen Gravano for the following day. Drita is willing to go so the pair can move forward, but she doesn’t want Karen rehashing the past. Good luck with that!

Mob Wives Renewed For Season 3!

Just as season 2 of Mob Wives is winding down, VH1 has announced that season 3 is a go! No word on which cast members are returning for sure, but I’d bet Drita D’avanzo, Karen Gravano, Renee Graziano and company will all be returning for more drama.

From the press release:

Season 2 of VH1′s hit reality series, “Mob Wives” is ending just as it began…on an emotional roller coaster as all the ladies end up in the same room for the first time this season. The explosive 2-part reunion special, hosted by The View’s Joy Behar, is set to air on May 20th and 27th and will reveal even more laughter, tears and drama than was already packed into the 17 episode season. And for the millions of “Mob Wives” fans out there, there will officially be a season 3 premiering in early 2013.

The big question will be – what about Big Ang? Now that she has landed her own spinoff, it’s hard to say.
